Today, faxed letters to Gov. Schwarzenegger and L.A. Mayor Villaraigosa, then spoke with the Scheduler's Office at both the Office of the Governor and Office of the Mayor.
The letters included declaration to make California declared a "State of ONE," and Los Angeles a "City of ONE."
The goals are pretty simple: fair trade, debt relief, aid that works.

"On a recent Saturday night at the Echo in Los Angeles, Par Avion Band played in conjunction with a fashion show to help promote awareness of ONE's ongoing campaign to fight poverty and preventable disease.
The fashion show, held by Beckie Lynn Productions, featured a number of upcoming Los Angeles models showcasing the work of local designers, and was hosted by Scarlett Cassanova, of L.A. club Hang the DJs.
The objective of the combined fashion /music event was to increase awareness of the ONE Campaign among L.A.'s immense audience of music enthusiasts. Paul Avion wore the ONE shirt on stage, and interested music-lovers from the Los Angeles area signed up to receive more information on ONE. The ONE portion of the event was coordinated by ONE's SoCal Field Organizer Betsy Avila and ONE volunteers Nare Ovespian and Kyle McNeal.
Due to the success of the event, more fashion-music events in L.A. are in the works for fall."
Say a word for Jimmy Brown He ain't got nothing at all He knocked the shirt right of his back He ain't got nothing at all And say a word for Ginger Brown He walks with his head down to the ground Took the shoes right off his feet And threw the poor boy right out in the street And this is what he said:
Oh, sweet nuthin' She ain't got nothing at all Oh, sweet nuthin' She ain't got nothing at all
Say a word for Polly May She can't tell the night from the day They threw her out in the street Just like a cat she landed on her feet And say a word for Joana Love She ain't got nothing at all With every day she falls in love And every night she falls And when she does she says:
Oh, sweet nuthin' You know She ain't got nothing at all [Woe, oh] sweet nuthin' She ain't got nothing at all Oh, let me hear you (guitar solo)
Oh, say a word, say a word for Jimmy Brown He ain't got nothing at all, not a thing And not a shirt, shirt on his back No, he ain't got nothing at all And say a word for Ginger He walks with his head to the ground He took the shoes, took the shoes from his feet, from his feet And threw the poor boy out into the street And then he said:
Oh, sweet sweet nuthin' She ain't got, she ain't got, she ain't got nothing at all Sweet sweet sweet sweet nuthin' She ain't got Sweet Sweet nothing ... Oh, let me hear you (guitar solo) She ain't got nothing at all ...

"Native New Orleans artist Avion has already shown a mercurial bent that spans geography as well as musical topography.
Moving to L.A.'s Silver Lake area, he quickly made a European escape to France, immersing himself in Paris' indie club scene. Emerging from clouds of billowing underground smoke, he saved the polaroid as backdrop for his most recent EP, Pop Music United, named after a small European DJ collective.<
The best way I can figure to describe the sound of Paul Avion & Par Avion Band is pop rock from a guy with an expansive mind, who uses his music to explore make-believe realities.
"Ménage a Trios" is a French pop styled offering and "New Year's Eve 3005" is a party set in the future, a fantasy tale of people who do nothing but travel around the world, going to different clubs and parties. It's a great song for those of us that want to escape from our cubicles. And their song "Stand Up, Be a Man" scored them a licensing agreement with PBS. ...
"Have You Seen the Walking Dogs on Sunset?" is the song that originally drew me to this group. The subject is so freaking unusual, but it's some great soundage. ... Our interview was all over the place, just like Paul's musical interests.
But one thing that stuck is the fact that this guy is a perfectionist. ... What can you expect from a guy who at the time of this interview was reading Quantum Electrodynamics? ... He was even so kind as to suggest to me that I pick up Einstein for Dummies. (Don't worry, I didn't take offense.)"
