Pauls keyboard player Andy Crofts releases single with The Moons

Andy Croft, Paul's keyboard player, is releasing a single with The Moons with a limited edition 7" single 'Don't Go Changin' b/w 'Torn Between Two' that will be released on 22nd September.

The tracks, written by Andy, come in white vinyl and is available to pre-order now from The Moons myspace page (www.myspace.com/moonsuk) and also their label - Colorama Records - page (www.myspace.com/coloramarecords).

Definitely worth checking out.

Paul Weller at the BBC 4CD set out 4th November.

Afternoon all,

A little bit of news has come my way as follows: 

'Weller at the BBC' is a stunning 74-track, digitally-remastered, 4-CD hard-back book set of exclusive BBC sessions and live concert tracks from 1990 – 2008, including a lavish 64-page booklet with extensive sleevenotes, new interviews with Paul and others with scores of rare photos from the archive. 

"The BBC Recordings is a great tradition. I've bought quite a few in the past, from the Hendrix one to The Who to the Small Faces to the Fabs, so for my stuff to be put out alongside them and to be a part of that tradition, it's definitely something special." - Paul Weller 2008

'Weller at the BBC' will be out on 4th November.

Paul guesting on new Steve Ellis album

Afternoon!

Paul appears on the new Steve Ellis album 'Best of Days' which has just been released on Demon Records on 4th August.  Steve Ellis is the former vocalist of sixties popsters The Love Affair who had massive hits with the likes of 'Everlasting Love' and who has been acknowledged by the likes of Paul and the UK Mod Scene.

Paul, Steve Craddock and Roger Daltrey all guest on the album which features a cover of Paul's 'Brand New Start'.

Comp for US Weller Fans

Evening All

 

Some of you may be aware of Subculture, Fred Perry's new music initiative, opened by Paul back in September 2005 at the 100 Club in London.  Subculture supports the best of new emerging musical talent alongside the established greats, i.e. PW.

 

Subculture is running a competition for U.S. based Weller fans which you can access via a banner under the 'Contests' section on the Yep Roc website here.  The winner gets to see Paul at the Nokia Theatre in New York City as well as winning a stack of Fred Perry clobber.

Culture Show on BBC2 tomorrow night

Afternoon people,

Just a quick heads up for those that have not scrutinised their Radio Times listings this week, Paul's going to be appearing on tomorrow night's Culture Show on BBC2 at 10.00pm.  He's apparently going to be talking about '22 Dreams', turning 50 and so on.  Interviewed by Lauren Laverne.
