NO SPEAKAH DE ENGLISH
NO SPEAKAH DE ENGLISH
A bus stops and two Italian men get on. They sit down and engage in an animated Conversation.
The lady sitting next to them ignores them at first, but her attention is galvanized when she hears one of them say the following:
'Emma come first. Den I come. Den two asses come together. I come once-a-more! Two asses, they come together again. I come again and pee twice. Then I come one LastaTime.'
The lady can't take this any more, 'You foul-mouthed sex obsessed pig.' She retorted indignantly. 'In this country, we don't speak aloud in public places about our sex lives.'
'Hey, cooladown lady, ' said the man. 'Who talkin'aboutasex? I'm a just atellin my frienda how to spell ' Mississippi ','

dad vs. dude
Last night at the fair I was feeling much more confident than I normally am, not to mention getting a bit more attention from women than usual which is typically none. Is it any wonder?

Remote Area Medical Foundation
The following segment warms your heart and breaks it at the same time. I can relate for having insurance yet eating nearly $1000 of additional expense from miscellaneous issues over the past 1.5 years which on my meager income has been tough. Private insurance is a disappointment to the working class who ironically subsidize public health care yet are most often ineligible for recieving it.

Chad Pregracke
Had a very inspiring experience last night. Myself along with several other artists affiliated with our Barn Colony Artists group participated in a benefit to help raise money for the Agricultural Watershed Institute whose focus is primarily the Sangamon River. The intent was sell works with proceeds benefiting the organization. I didn’t sell much but I did get the opportunity to listen to key speaker Chad Pregracke. First of all the man is a trip and possesses a ridiculously funny sense of humor (not to mention skates). He went from picking up trash on the Mississippi in a john boat 10+ years ago to now piloting several barges on a few major US rivers. Rather than tell this man’s story i’ll just say that up until last night, I was totally unaware of just how polluted our river systems are. Not sure what to do or where to go from here but damn I wish I would’ve spent more of my life making a difference like this guy instead of wasting time with bullshit. Definitely encourage anyone reading this to look at what Chad is doing and consider getting involved even if on your own. I for one plan to start carrying trash bags in the camera bag. p

The March 12 Supercell
On this date in 2006 a massive long track supercell carved a path of destruction across the Midwest which included the city of Springfield IL. Historic for being the longest lived supercell ever recorded, I was fortunate to see and photograph this storm as it passed through our region. My grainy pictures serve to illustrate the difficulty it was to see this storm for under total darkness, the only available light was that generated by random flickers of lightning. Just about everyone has a story from that night and for me, it was one of the most impressionable events I could possibly ever witness. Pictures are over in my folders, please feel free to comment either here or there. p
