Wedding Anniversaries, what does each passing year stand for?

Commitment most definelty but to whom? To your children or to each other...

Trust? well that's a double edged sword...we say we trust each other but who really ever does?

Fidelity, but then again the definition of cheating differs for all.

Honesty comes back to trust...do you trust enough to be honest?

Love, not just caring, real lasting test of time love, anyone?

Friendship secrets shared, finished thoughts just being undertood and accepted and loved for just being you, too much to ask for?

I don't have any magic answers as to what makes a marriage last or what doesn't. I have been w/ my husband for a decadeand honestly sometimes we don't like each other but we do always love each other. We can be mad, hell lets yell :) but the anger fades (and I am proven right;) you get over it. We are commited to each other to our family to sharing each other's lives through the laughter and tears. We are faithful but we also have faith in each other. We share trust and honesty, but they don't happen magically over night.  We are friends but that doesn't mean we always get each other. We get that we don't have to always get each other; we just need to be here for each other to listen,support and love. Love can be lasting  its just not as romantic as tv makes it. It just is. The person in your life you can count on through lifes shit and sunshine. Not all marriages last for ever but I have faith in us to last.

Or he'll be sorry ;) lol

Christmas is almost here

so I must travel on home

see I do this every year

to celebrate with those I love

share in all the traditions

we've made throughout the years

going home is my Christmas expedition

because I can't afford Tahiti

Advent Prayer

Dear Lord,

As I await the birth of Your only son,

I ask Your guidance

to prepare my heart and soul

for His coming.

Envelope me in the comfort

of Your love

like a caterpillar's cocoon.

Keep me there safely nestled in

until the time has come

for me to be blessed

with butterfly wings.

May I be wise in using my wings

to soar in Your goodness.

and blessing of the precious gift

of Your son, Jesus Christ.

May I fly along side Him

all the days of my life.

I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. As for my

Holiday tis tradition I head home to be surrounded by all those relatives

you really love but don't speak to unless its a national holiday! So I wish

you all well during this Season of Merriment, may you feel the spirit in your

heart and not your wallet. As the New Year approaches, may we keep in

 mind all the possibilties we still can find. So savor the memories you

soon will make for 'tis the time of hope, love and faith. Take it all in, let it fill

you with its warmth, so you can remember it through the rest of the year.
