Hey everyone– a big label change, giving the new album away for free – lots of things happening in the Pennywise world – but the best thing for us is that we can highlight some of the causes we feel strongly about.The first is "A Cure for Cooper."Cooper Glen Jones is the son of a good friend of mine, and he’s been diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
"Muscular Dystrophy" is a broad term used to label gene-related disorders that affect muscles throughout the body. All forms of Muscular Dystrophy are considered rare, but Duchenne MD is probably the most common.
The thing is – Muscular Dystrophy is a disorder that we can beat.Researchers have been making huge gains and are very close to finding a cure for this tragic disease. We just need to raise money and awareness and that’s where you come in.We can help researchers find a cure for Cooper and the thousands of kids just like him who need our help.We are so close but politicians and researchers need to be reminded that their efforts have to be focused on finding a cure for these kids, and it takes money and influence to do this.
So there’s a link on our myspace page to where you can donate and find out more information about DMD.I’d love to see Pennywise fans from all over the world come together and raise a bunch of money for Cooper and the fight for a cure for DMD!Cooper is a real cool kid and he deserves a bright tomorrow and we can help make that happen.So let’s all dig deep and take the time to donate, even if it’s just a little. INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO GET INTO THE SHOW You will need a wristband to get into the show.Wristbands will be available for pick up at Zia Record Exchange’s Tempe location between 5:00 and 7:00 P.M. on the day of the show.
Zia’s Record Exchange is located at 105 W. University Drive. The telephone number there is (480) 829-6898.
Also, wristbands will be available at the club at the normal door times. However, THIS SHOW IS FIRST COME FIRST SERVED, so get there early and stay in line.
