China cracks down videos in the Internet
Category: News and Politics
China cracks down videos in the Internet
Recently Chinese communist government issued a regulation to control videos in the Internet which only allows state-run Internet companies to put videos in the Internet.
Obviously the trigger to strengthen the control of videos in the Internet is that there were two incidents recently happening in China to lead this control. One of them is that at the end of 2007 the wife of a Chinese famous anchor Zhangbin in CCTV exposed her husband having an affair with another woman in CCTV 's news conference . Some reporters shot this event and put this video on their blogs or websites in China. The Chinese government had tried its best to control this video to spread in the Internet , but many people put this video on private-own websites , many of these private-own websites didn't obey the government 's order to delete this video, the government control didn't work very well this time. Another incident was that a blogger was beaten to death by Chinese city inspectors several weeks ago when he was trying to shoot the pictures of city inspectors who were beating the farmers who were protesting the waste disposal near their village , this led huge protests from the public in the Internet.
Obviously the Chinese communist dictatorship government is afraid of exposure of their wrong-doings in the Internet, they can't help but try to control these kind of videos to spread in the Internet. Can they succeed in this control? maybe in short period of time; but following the progress of modern technology and the drive of Chinese political civilization , eventually they will fail, they will be defeated in the near future.

Are current top Chinese leaders willing to conduct political democratic reforms right now?

Are current top Chinese leaders willing to conduct political democratic reforms right now?
For couples of weeks a few famous Chinese entrepreneurs and intellectuals have written public letters to the Chinese communist top leaders and urged them to conduct political democratic reforms and give up one-party communist dictatorship political system. As we know that most people in China are terribly sick of Chinese communist dictatorship ruling, but the Chinese communist government controls the military and police forces , they will exhaust any mean means to crackdown any public protests as they had done to the Tianan Men Square protests in the 1989. These brave men are Chinese conscience and hopes, but the question is : are current top Chinese communist leaders willing to conduct political democratic reforms right now?
As a matter of fact, I deeply doubt that these current top Chinese leaders will be willing to conduct political democratic reforms and give up one-party communist dictatorship ruling .
The main reason is that these top Chinese communist leaders are badly lack of democracy-oriented minds. Why they are in the top positions is that they have been very good at disguising themselves and pretty lucky being promoted thanks to the eliminated system in Chinese officialdom in which the best and most valuable persons are washed out, or they are the offsprings of former Chinese top leaders. Most of them don't care at all about whether or not China will become modern political civilized country, all they care is whether or not they can hold their privileges for good, most of them are totally selfish and self-centered politicians, as long as they can hold their positions a little longer they don't care at all about the evolvement of Chinese social and political civilization.
However , even though there are few current Chinese top leaders who are willing to conduct political democratic reforms , as long as more and more Chinese brave men and women speak out their own wise opinions , these current top Chinese leaders may give the political democratic reforms a second thoughts. Even these current Chinese top leaders are not influenced by the pressures of appeal of political democratic reforms, the next leadership of Chinese communist government may be a little more willing to conduct somekind of political democratic reforms in the near future. If so it is good for the whole Chinese society. If Chinese communist leadership constantly resists against the appeal of democratic reform, then it is very possible that there will be some kinds of color revolutions in China in the future, the drive of evolvement of Chinese political civilization can not be stopped by the corrupted Chinese communist party eventually!

Is Chinese communist government an Internet enemy?
Category: News and Politics
Is Chinese communist government an Internet enemy?
According to recent reports from Chinese oversea Websites Chinese communist government has launched a new round of control of the Internet in mainland China, this time they simply shut down tens of thousands of Websites which have BBS functions or disable the function of BBS. During recent days I have confronted one Website in mainland China which its BBS functions doesn't work . The excuse of the shutdown reportedly is that next month Chinese communist party will hold 17th national convention.
Why do they have to shut down these huge number of Websites or their BBS functions to hold its national convention? According to them this is because they want to show the Chinese people and the world that China has a harmonious society. Is this stupid or smart? we can judge this by ourselves.
When a government doesn't allow its people to say what they really want to say, is this a harmonious society?
When a government is afraid of listening to its people, is this government a confident government?
When a government regards the Internet as somehow an enemy to its ruling, can its ruling last any longer? is its ruling legit?
I am here not to say that Chinese communist government hasn't done any good to mainland China, here I just want to say what they are doing to shut down these websites or their BBS functions is the sign in which shows that Chinese communist government wants to fake an artificial harmonious society in China. Even they are not the enemy of Internet , at least they are afraid of the Intenet.

Why do Chinese media always praise Chinese government?
Category: News and Politics
Why do Chinese media always praise Chinese government?
I haven't watched Chinese communist main mouthpiece CCTV for a certain of years, if I want to know what are going on in mainland China I just go to the Website of Xinhua.com which is also a main communist mouthpiece in the Internet to get what I need, in this way I can save my time to know what I really want to know without bearing the extreme boring 30 minutes of "news" broadcast by CCTV.
As we know that all Chinese media are controlled by Chinese communist propaganda department, so in mainland China there is not free press. Almost all news watched, read and listened in mainland China are positive , this extreme boring things have lasted for more than five decades in mainland China, so I am wondering why Chinese media always praise Chinese government, following two points are my conclusion:
Firstly, Chinese communist party 's leadship in mainland China is not elected by Chinese people, so that they always need their media to report positive news to inform Chinese people how good their leadship is, but nowadays Chinese people are no longer foolish enough to listen to them.
Secondly, Chinese communist party hasn't been mature and confident enough to bear criticism after more than five decades' ruling in mainland China, they are still like a child who always likes to get praises from their parents and other adults. Because they control all media which means that there are not independent media in mainland China these Chinese communist media can't help but praise themselves. What kind of persons do you think they alway praise themselves? egotistic ?moron? or childish ? We can judge this by ourselves.
We don't know when the Chinese communist government will become mature and confident enough to allow its media to criticize its government, which is a key sign for Chinese government to grow up, but one thing is certain which is that whenever China has free press then Chinese government can get respect from its people and other civilized countries in this planet.

A Dozen Roses
Category: Writing and Poetry
This poem comes from a flash show posted by one of my friends King of Chatalot, I like it very much so I write it down and post here.
A Dozen Roses
I got a dozen roses From a friend the other day; But I only have one left For I gave them all away.
I gave one to my sister Who to me is very dear, In hopes that it will bring to her A little floral cheer.
I took one to a friend Who's not feeling very well, The flower or the visit -which helped her more I could not tell.
One went to a friend, I haven't known for very long , She struggles , so in some small way, I hope this helps her carry on .
The rest went to the ones Who' ve helped me in so many ways , They have been a cheerful presence On my dreary day.
The roses were so pretty, I just could not keep them all Except one single bud standing Beautiful and tall.
My friend gave me the flowers To help brighten up my day But the biggest joy I received Was giving them away.

Today is June 4-- a special day in Chinese history
Category: News and Politics
June 4 is a very special day in Chinese history, 18 years ago in this day there were about hundreds or maybe thousands of college students who wanted China to become a democratic and free country were killed by Chinese communist military force by guns and tanks.
Although Chinese communist government has exhausted all means to intend to erase this memory from Chinese people, however many Interneters in mainland China have found some special ways to commemorate this very special day. They wrote poems and put some commemorative articles and so forth in Chinese bbs to pay respect to those who had sacrificed their lives for a democratic and free China 18 year ago.
No sooner had some of these poems and articles been deleted by Chinese moderators than more poems and articles were posted. One of funny things today is that people.cn which is a Chinese communist party's main mouthpiece even doesn't allow bloggers to post blogs in its Website, they are lying to bloggers that its Website needs to update system today.
Coincidently today there was an Earthquake in South of China which was measured exactly 6.4 degree in Richter scale , which may mean that God remind Chinese people and people around the world what happened in this day 18 years ago
Luckily history was and is and will be written by historians not politicians, so no matter how the Chinese communist government intends to cover up this period of Chinese history, Chinese people will never forget this special day in Chinese history.

What kind of government does this kind of things?
Category: News and Politics
What kind of government does this kind of things?
Today I read a news in a Chinese Website, this news said that one of cities in Hebei province of China began to destroy farmers' satellite receiver pans . Many communist officials from different departments such as public security, commerce management , state-run TV station and so forth acted like housebreakers to destroy people's satellite receiver pans in the countryside, their reason for this robbers' behaviors is that they want to keep Chinese society stable and cool down the unstable elements.
Why do they regard these satellite receiver pans as unstable element?
Because these pans can get news and programs from overseas, the Chinese communist government doesn't want their people to get information from overseas, as usual they are afraid of the truth and the free flow of information. Their behavior only exposes that Chinese communist government is not a confident regime, they are afraid of their people, they want to use their state-run media to continue to fool their people.
It is very funny and pitiful that the civilized world has entered 21 century the Chinese communist government still acts like uneducated Goth. We don't know when the Chinese communist government will become more mature and confident, but one thing is certain which is that Chinese people look down on the Chinese communist regime thanks to their this kind of bad behaviors .

A few thoughts about future China
Category: News and Politics
A few thoughts about future china
Recently I read a book's abstract called "First Signs in Chinese History" which tells us what intentions Chinese communist party wanted to achieve before they took power in China in the 1940s from Nationalist party, it is truly inspirational . Although their intentions or goals were originally very encouraging and great which they wanted to build a democratic and free country in which Chinese people have the freedom of speech, press and assembly they haven't conducted many of their promises so far. I don't mean that Chinese communist government hasn't done some good stuffs to Chinese people, obviously they have done a lot of good things to China especially from 1979 after China conducted economic reforms. For instance recent years Chinese government abandoned the crops' taxes from all farmers which is a great achievement in Chinese history, economic development has beem booming for a decade and so forth. However there are still a lot of hard work ahead of China, following the success of economic reforms, now the main question is how to reform Chinese political system in a stable way.
Some Chinese democratic activists propose that China should totally conduct and copy Western countries 's political system, I disagree with that view, most of Western countries such as United States and Great Britain have practised this kind of political system for a long time, they are good at this political system, it works for them but may not work well for China, for a wise choice China can't compete against Western countries by using third class horses to compete against their first class horses.
Some democratic activists even want to rely on Western countries ' influence to push China quickly to copy their political system, I also disagree with that view. Some Western countries can be good friends of China but we can't rely on them to make China more stable and prosperous. Many Westerners don't care much about other people's interests, some of them are very selfish, as a decent Chinese you can't believe them in certain of things, of course there are many Westerners who are kind and willing to help others, but when Chinese interests are infringing their interests they will turn around to oppose you. For instance now many Americans want to withdraw their troops immediately from Iraq before Iraqis government can govern themselve and sustain themselve, of course we can understand their feelings which they don't want to spend too much money and resource to help others, but withdrawing troops without giving Iraq a stable situation is irresponsible , pitifully many Americans have chosen their selfish choices in terms of international affairs.
So in order to make China more stable and prosperous China must find its own special and effective way to conduct political democratic reforms, this requires Chinese communist party gives up their some kind of privileges and returns some rights to the Chinese people and at the same time Chinese people should make some kind of compromises and allow Chinese communist party to continue to lead China in the coming decades, maybe 20 years or 50 years but no longer than 100 years.
If China want to become advanced country in this planet there must not be civil wars in the future and China must focus on its economic development and military build up, only if so China will have a bright future.

The censorship of Myspace.cn

The censorship of Myspace.cn
Today I wanted to post a blog in my new account in Myspace.cn , no matter how I re-edited it the system of Myspace.cn constantly showed " You can't post this blog untill you edit it to be proper contents", I posted this article three years ago in a few main Chinese bbs there were not problems like this time. So I concluded that the censorship of Myspace.cn is worse than most Websites in Mainland China if it is not the worst in China.

Myspace.com may be totally blocked by Chinese communist government
Category: News and Politics
Myspace.com may be totally blocked by Chinese communist government
For four days I and other users of Myspace.com can't access to Myspace.com from mainland China, now I am using proxy servers to access to this site.
About two weeks ago Myspace launched a Chinese version of Myspace , although Myspace.cn keeps most functions of Myspace.com there are absence of some certain discussion forums such as news , politics, religion and history forums.
Now many users in mainland China are complaining that they can't access to Myspace.com, this blockage of Myspace.com is still not confirmed officially either by Myspace or Chinese communist government, but it is highly possible that Myspace.com is being GFWed by the unconfident Chinese communist government which means that Chinese government is using its so-called " Great FireWall" to totally block Myspace.com.
So if it is true then tens of thousands or maybe hundreds of thousands of users of Mysapce.com in mainland China can't access to Myspace.com normally, if they want to access to Myspace.com they have to choose proxy servers to access to Myspace.com. Fortunately there are several softwares created by some Internet specialists which can break through this blockage, the result is certain that more and more people in mainland China are forced and ironically encouraged to use these special softwares and other proxy servers to access to these blocked oversea Websites . Obviously these special softwares got and are getting a free advertisements from Chinese communist government. What does this mean? this means that the more Websites blocked by Chinese government the more people are willing to use these special softwares and other proxy servers to break through this blockage.
Honestly from the point of Chinese communist government this blockage is counter-productive, they do this kind of stupid things again, just like they want to control sexual deseases and AIDS in China but when they find prostitutes bringing condoms with them (prostitution is illegal now in China) they put them into prisons or give them huge fines, because of this most prostitutes in China no longer bring condoms with them , they are afraid of being caught due to the condoms, the result is that sexual diseases and AIDS are widely and quickly spreaded across whole China. Are they smart or fool? you can judge this by yourselves.
