THANK YOU from PHIL'S BROTHER and PARENTS
A Thank You to Phil Phans Everywhere from Keith Stacey:
_______________________________________
Hey folks,
Well, American Idol has been an amazing journey, but all things (sooner or later) come to an end.
Phil was officially voted off the show last night, with (one amazing guy) Chris Richardson.
All I have to say is that Phil pulled out the single best exit I'd ever seen! I think he made his fans proud last night.
For all you mourners and heart broken people (you know who you are, and most of you have already written me informing me of how your life has just come to an end), allow me to remind you that American Idol is really just a doorway into something greater. It is not the end-all-be-all for anyone in the top ten. Phil, with alot of help, got an amazing opportunity to show the world who he is (not to mention knock a few socks off with his amazing talent). He couldn't have asked for more than that! I can assure you there were no tears in the "Stacey house" last night. Just alot of pride and love for Phil.
Trust me, we'll be hearing more from him!
Anyway, from his big brother, I just wanted to give a heartfelt thank-you to Jim and the Philnatics, Sandi and the Phil-harmonics, and all the supporters we've gotten the last few months. You haven't only held Phil up, you've also held up his family and we are eternally grateful.
Also, I'd like to mention how much support we've gotten from communities in Jacksonville, Wichita, Nashville, New Haven, Cleveland and many others in spreading support for Phil on the radio, television, news, etc.
I also have to mention how strong Lee University and the Church of God has been in supporting Phil. It's been amazingly humbling to see so many people acknowledge Phil as one of their own and support him and his family through not only votes, but prayers as well. Thank you!
I've got alot of folks asking what's next for Phil. Just keep him in your prayers! I know he's got alot in store for him. As for now, he's going to have a heavy few days of interviews, hopefully spend some much needed quality time with his girls, then he'll return to the United States Navy and report for duty. He has not forgotten his call to serve this country in every way he can, perhaps now in a much greater capacity. As for what's next, just stay tuned!
Thanks again everyone and God bless,
Keith Stacey philnatic since '78

And here is a Thank You from Phils Parents Gary and Adrell Stacey:
You guys are the best. Adrell and I speak for our entire family when we thank you for your support. We know you voted your hearts out and your fingers off. We have been so proud of Phil and Kendra. When Kendra applauded Lakisha's continuing instead of her husband, she showed a class that few have seen on TV before. God has been very good to all of us through this experience. He has blessed us greatly by coming in contact with you. Our whole family joins together to ask God to reward you for your kindness toward Phil.. You have no idea what a delight this whole experience has been for all of us. Of course there has been the negative but this is a group that chose to focus on the positive. Thank you. This journey is now ended. Now the real journey begins. Our boy gave Bon Jovi and Jennifer Lopez chills. What more could you want? I can't wait for his first CD
