The Status of the film Pieces of you

Hello everyone,

It's been a while since we (Knight Entertainment) Have done for this profile let alone the production of the film. Everyone has been asking me "What's going with the film?" "Is it done shooting already?" "How come we never saw the infamous teaser?!" "Well the movie ever be released?"

Well when making an indie film with a shoe string budget on weekends with very little time. MANY obstacles come in the way. Which is bound to happen. Hell it took Don Coscarelli 2 years to shoot phantasm. Now look at it. Quite possibly the greatest horror movie ever made. Am I saying because "pieces of you" is taking so long I want it to be the greatest horror movie ever made? Well who knows maybe one day it will be considered a classic. Either way it's still a great story to me and I always think of it as a piece (no pun intended) of work to me. Probably because it took me so long to finally come up with a good idea for the film without writing twenty pages into it and tossing it into the trashcan. Even numerous titles that just came to me. Trust me when writing a script focus more so on the storyline. Let the title just come later. Hell even when your done shooting the movie and your in a cramp room with eight people working with you on editing the film don't even worry about the title.

Sorry, back to the answers people have had about the film. Well. It is still in production. Actually it's going through a massive re-write right now. With some new scenes of blood and gore as well as some new character development. Especially some stuff that even creeped me out. AND I WROTE IT!!

The infamous teaser? Well sadly though only two people saw it. Myself and my editor who shot the thing. Why, I'm not going to release it. Well it looks like something a college student who WANTS to make an art film will do. So, when you see the teaser trailer it will be different and with some dialouge. Hell, that might just be the only thing you do see. Until the movie comes out. I don't want to reveal too much about the film or show too much, but just one scene and let the audience decide on what may happen. I think it's great going into a horror movie not knowing what your going to see and when you do see it, you fucking sit there going "WHAT JUST HAPPENED?!"

As far as other test scenes or scenes that were shot. Well for reasons beyond anyones control they are now lost. Don't worry it was just a few scenes. no blood or gore. The reason why production did stop for the mean time was because a lot of the actors/actresses were people donating their time away from their families and jobs so sadly we only got them for a short period of time, but when they were there they gave everything they could and I love them for it and consider myself the luckiest guy in the world for working with them. Watch out for them because in the near future they'll be out in the big movies and probably look back and go "wow...I was in a indie horror movie."

But don't worry. I have not given up on this movie because honestly. It's my goal to bring back horror films to the fans. People that grew up watching old slasher movies from the 70's and 80's. Because those were the two best decades for horror movies.

Blood, Sweat and Tears vol 1.

Through out my entire four years in high school and college my teachers would tell me

"don't do a big movie because it will drive you insane"

I never listened to them just like today I still don't listen to what they have to say. Now I'm 25 making my second film (technically) more likely my first, but that's another story. I'm happy but yet very stressed. Of course this is going to happen with any movie you do whether it's a music video or a movie. You're going to run into little things.

This past weekend was the very first shoot of the movie. It went well some of the actors showed up and the others didn't which was based on an act of miscommunication. Oops. My bad.

On the set I tend to wonder is it ok to be a dictator at times and be bossy. Like to yell at my crew and just be frustrated if things aren't going my way. I know there's a fine line, I am grateful people did show up for auditions and are willing to be in the movie since this is a very sick and twisted horror movie. People look at the default pic and assume it's a ghost story. Nope, this is a very dark film about cannibals and sadistic murders.

I believe on the next shoot I'll just count to ten and try not to be too much of a dictator but more of a director saying listen guys we have a deadline we need to work as much as possible on every take.

oh well this is just the start of something I think is going to be very beautiful
