In addition to Pieta's Midwest fall tour dates, Pieta will join Ani Difranco in the NE to support Ani's November "Red Letter Year" tour. Pieta will be performing old songs, songs from her new EP 'Flight Time', and brand new songs as well! Pieta will have 'Flight Time' available and other fun merchandise at all shows this fall. EP features Pieta's first recording of an instrumental song
'Flight Time' (Oct. 10), the forthcoming EP from rising songwriter Pieta Brown, features seven riveting original new songs, including a piano driven instrumental, entitled, "I thought I Heard You Call My Name." Recorded in Iowa, and produced by Pieta (co-produced by Bo Ramsey), 'Flight Time' is a collection of off-beat songs with a rough-edged, ambient vibe, featuring performances by Pieta on acoustic guitar, electric guitar, slide guitar, and acoustic and electric piano.
Pieta recorded the EP with all regional musicians including Bo Ramsey (guitar), Marty Christensen (bass), Steve Hayes (drums), and others, as well as a guest appearance by Bob Black on banjo (Bill Monroe, Rhonda Vincent). The CD package was made with 100% recycled and bio-degradable materials and includes original artwork by Pieta's sister, visual artist, Zoe Brown.
