Pins and Needles conjure up a year round of Halloween's trick or treat, scratching and clawing at you door like a black feline in heat. With smokey pop rattles, savory deathly hallowed purrs, Pins and Needles invites the suicide phenomenon of The Cure, the vampire urgency of Bauhaus, the beauty of the grave from Sister's of Mercy, the glisten of the ocean from Echo & the Bunnymen, and the blood from the death disco of Joy Division/New Order, yet still manages to make you want to tear off your clothes and dance alone in glory, in front of you silver mirror wearing just your Batman underoos.
