Keep it coming, Pittsburgh, we are off to a good start!

Check out www.pittspace.com to see all of the recent changes we have made.  I think things are off to a real good start and if we can keep everyone together on this we can really help things along in this town. 

Any bands that are looking for some extra exposure - maybe for a big show coming up, or a CD release, etc. - make sure to contact us.  We want to help you put your music out there for people to discover.  Remember that there never, ever, will be any charge to any musicians for what we do (sorry to harp on that point, but I get asked all the time).  We'd like to do CD reviews, band features, interviews, etc.. E-mail me at robert@pittspace.com and lets get the ball rolling!

Also send your show dates AND flyers to robert@pittspace.com - look at the website - the concert flyers get great exposure on the site!

Venues - send us your show lists.  We'll take the time to plug them into the databse no matter what format you have them in now.

Bands - Mini Interviews!

Hey bands, here's an easy way to get people to take a look at your band and get a feel for what you are all about - the mini interview!  Answer the questions below and send it to robert (at) pittspace (dot) com - we will post it on our site and link it with the band directory!  Also include any upcoming tour dates, and send links to pictures, and some mp3s (you can e-mail these also, but if they are already on the net somewhere that we can grab them that will save everybody some bandwidth).  Thanks!

The State of The Pittsburgh Music Scene?

Venues!!!

We want to make sure that people know where the music is being played, and - for the bands - what they need to do to play there.  So please e-mail the following information to robert (at) pittspace (dot) com :

- Venue Name

- Address

- Phone

- Website

- Neighborhood (i.e.: Bloomfield, Bridgville, etc.)

- Description: what kind of music do you host, when, how should bands contact you, etc. - use this space to give people a quick heads up or a full description of what to expect.

We are trying to compile a complete list of active bands here in the Pittsburgh region.  So if you'd like a little free publicity, provide us with the following: band name, three applicable genres, a brief description of the band, a website address, and also please indicate whether you would like to be contacted about gigs.  E-mail it all to robert (at) pittspace (dot) com, and I'll let you know once it's added!
