11:16 PM - the continuation wk26
Category: Writing and Poetry

Lynn sat quietly on the corner chair as her father the Professor fused over little gadgets and putty like liquid. Her stomach twisted as thought of the chase that just ran through her mind they could have caught her, they could have gotten Megan. Did they really fall for it? After all it was exactly planned like that?

Lynn eyes filled with tears as she stared at her absent minded father certainly he was a genius and a bit of a recluse that reminded her a little of Willy Wonka only with science instead of confection ate sugar. Which made her wonder if he was completely sane? After all to go along with this he had to have a few screws lose. The future of what laid in store for them pounded heavy in her heart and hollowed out a pit in her gut.

Lynn walked over and gave a gentle child like tug on her father's white lab coat,

"Did you do everything?"

"I did, but I believe the plan is flawed they are not as stupid as you may think" His piercing blue eyes bit hard in to her fears.

BANG! Suddenly the door slammed open hard,

"It's now or never! The fact that you are a bit too freaking nosey for your own good Lynn is probably what made this so believable. But I am sure they are convinced that this is in fact the lab." Jake's mischievous grin wiped Lynn's heart paused in her chest just for a brief moment long enough for her to become blissfully light headed with his smile.

Megan quickly sprang to her feet and pulled out three dead bodies from a wall freezer, her stomach twisted with the mere thoughts of touching a dead body but the thought of dying herself wasn't any better. Lynn and Megan rushed and placed the two female bodies on a small couch that was thrown hard against the wall just weeks before.

Lynn's father laid one down in front of the table he was constructing what they would think to be a bomb.

"Ok and another slight plan adjustment you need to go out the other way though he tunnel and hope it doesn't collapse when I set the charges, I am sure they are watching the building right now it is a good thing the door faces this side instead of the other but I have to report in after I set the bombs So get going" Jake whispered

"Oh but why do you have to stay why can't you come with us, you know they will eventually find out who you really are" Lynn argued she couldn't bare the thought of them catching him.

"Hey I got everything under control. Stick to the plan this time! Anymore curiosity just might screw things up a little bit more then I want them to be."

Lynn knew he was displaying her for creeping up on the men in the woods but she had to try.

"Jake, we will see you where the two roads meet?" The Professor asked

"If all goes well we will be doing the hand jive by this time tomorrow" Jake added

"OO!" Megan jumped up "but with money right?"

"Well if they haven't discovered the money gone yet now go, I gave the Professor the map" Jake lightly brushed the side of Lynn's cheek "I'll see you soon" and with a wink of his deep brown eye he turned and left.

2:56 PM - wk25 blogophilia
Category: Writing and Poetry

Lynn crouched behind the giant oak silently creeping around the thick tree for better hearing, her gut began to twist in warning…

I shouldn't be here, I shouldn't be doing this

The words echoed through her mind but the urge to find out what a secret meeting in the forest depths was about over took her and silenced the warning thoughts.

Lynn heard a stick crack and it made her jump and then fall over into full view of the three men.

"You imbeciles; you were followed! Get her!" yelled a tall muscular man who was wearing a black traveling cloak with a hood over his face.

She suddenly felt a hand grab her and pull her up so hard that it felt like her arm was going to be ripped out. Her heart sank and images of what they were going to do went through her mind. She just knew she was never going to see her precious father again. Her heart leaped! It was Jake! She had never felt so happy to see him.

"RUN! NOW!" Jake yelled at her. Lynn ran deeper into the woods.

Catching a glimpse of the backside of Megan who was already ahead of her. She then turned and saw Jake in close pursuit followed by two desperately hungry men.

"Just go! Take the path on the left and stay on it; I'll catch up with you later!" Jake shouted.

Lynn could hear Jake's footsteps going in another direction. She could also hear the two men's voices fading a little but she didn't dare stop. Her legs burned with fresh wounds from the thorny brush she was running through. She saw a path on her right coming up, but there was none on her left. Her mind started to race with desperation. She could no longer see Megan and she didn't know were she was at within the forest.

Did Jake say the left, meaning the right? Did she miss it?!

Lynn's desperation turned into panic when, suddenly, a hand reached out and grabbed her. The force of being stopped mid-run made Lynn fall backward. She looked up to see Megan staring down at her.

"Come this way. Hurry, one of them is still back there." Megan gasped.

Then Megan turned and took off down a very narrow path that was overgrown by thistles, nettles, and stinging metal shrubs. Lynn followed close behind. Each time she moved, she could feel pieces of her flesh getting torn away. The sweet sap and small hair from the sting metal plants running into her open wounds making Lynn feel like she were on fire, but she couldn't stop. She was unable to hear the men anymore, but that didn't mean that they weren't there. She could see Megan's blood on the ground and she knew that they both felt and must look pretty bad.

They kept running for what seemed like forever and the pain that was seeping through her body was starting to get the best of her. Finally, some light started streaming through the edge of the forest and Lynn found a sudden burst of energy ripped over her like a water balloon. A clearing! Safety! As she exited the forest, she saw one of the most beautiful sights she had ever seen, her Dads workshop. His studies, his lab everything that was kept secret peaked through the ground she was sure the Megan would keep this a secret she was sure her father that her father would take both of them and wash away their wounds.

"Megan over here" She whispered, Megan quickly followed as she whimpered from the gashes on her arms and legs.

Jake knelt to the earthy ground and an evil grin washed over his face as he looked back toward the men of pursuit,

"That was just too easy" he said

"If we had known that she was going to lead us Straight to it with out hesitation we would have done this months ago, Good work Jake" a gruff voice

"Thank you sir, shall we go in now when the professor is sidetracked with his mindless daughter or wait until he leaves?"

"Just place the charges by the walls of the building our government doesn't want his inventions they just want him dead and anyone who is with him"

Jake stood and his evil grin faded as he whispered to himself,

"Hear now the song of the dead"

She slowly crept to the bridge paying the sign little attention

Do not enter here

For in these woods creatures feed

on dreams humans breed

The waters laid eerie still with a warm mist billowing up as she gentle touched her toes to the mossy stones that were soft as dryer lint on the other side of the bridge. Within in instant she could feel the woods breath, its heart beat felt like a rhythm through her body. No one ever understood that these woods were alive and pure with a mystic life that could never been seen with an ordinary eye. Loni knelt close to the edge of the moat peering the murky depths below with amazement as the creatures swam by flowering their exotic colors. Softly she touched the water's surface as if to caress a loved ones face. She knew in a moment she was where she belonged; the images that danced in her dreams were here.

The rain began to glide down her face as she ran through the chest of the woods with every step the thumping of his heart was stronger, her love was here among these trees

Free like lovers should be. A cave stood still and silent, feeling of cold and hunger poured from the rocky mouth. Fear rose through Loni body had she gone too far? Slowly she began to creep backward when a pair of emerald green eyes caught the light from outside and flickered straight through hers, her heart raced, her retreat froze. The wind blew and leaves drifted to her; creeping vines set themselves around her body. And there she dreams feeding his wooden mystic heart.

Cassie picked through her mother's closet with deep thoughts of the past few years. Slowly she pulled out the dark blue shirt her mother wore just days before her father's death, it was always her favorite the beautiful with the sea weed sequence and the Angel, goldfish so bright and cheery. It was a definite display of her mother constant attitude. But after her father pasted she could remember the joy and the light of her mother just fade away like she had gone with him.

She laid it on the bed and gave a little giggle among the forlorn feelings dancing in her head. Joyce Sturgeon the only woman in the entire cemetery wearing a t-shirt and shorts in her grave. Just the way she wanted to remember her mother inside the laughter of life. She quickly found her way to the dresser and began to rummage through the stakes of cotton shorts only to find cards placed neatly between each pair.

Her child hood memories drifted in to the room peanut butter cookie scent filled the air and she a seven year old child watch her beautiful blonde mother put clothes away,

Way mommy do you have those cards in your clothes?" she innocence spilled out

"Because my darling each day that goes past we spend so many minutes apart, and your daddy says that Valentines Day is the day that should be every day. So no body ever has to wait to hear someone say I love you"

Cassie's tears brought her back to the present she had forgotten her mother and father never forgotten valentine secrets. What a treasure it was to have that memory now wonder they spent seventy years together with never doubting their love.

"Cassie have you found the clothes she asked to be buried in?" Marty came in the room.

She couldn't help but to fill her older brother in on this treasure memory for she was sure he needed to know for times have been so hard for he and his wife that past few months,

"I know when Valentine's Day comes around Dad used to buy 370 cards every year. The Masons pharmacies used to order him a verity and never even put them on the shelf"

"But there are only 365 days in a year why 370?"

"He filled them out and set them aside, shortly before he died he asked me to send one in the mail every day to mom. The day she died she receive the last one. I have been doing it with my wife for a little while and I must say the reminder of how much I love her I believe helps me just as much as it helps her I have had good luck with that, maybe you should keep the tradition going when you get married"

"Who would have thought that a simple 2.00 card could give so much?"

As Rachel was lowered in to the ground the emptiness grew over Kit, Why why couldn't she remember what had happened that night on the hill. She had exhausted her mind in trying to remember what had happen that night despite the police's casual questioning that rapidly raced into blame and guilty theories she still could not remember what had happened to kill her best friend.

Once at home she sunk in to her bedroom playing with a crystal that Rachel had given her for her last birthday letting her mind drift away until it her BANG! Kit sprang back to the present and straight to her feet, there was a man! She remember his face what he was wearing she had to tell!

She turned on her heels and was met with Ralph Fiennes standing at the door,

"It is a shame really, I kind of liked you. But you do remember who I am don't you? So good bye my dearest" he said as he quickly shut the door locking it.

She turned toward the windows just to find they had been chained closed, black smoke began to filter in from under the door with streams of fire racing up the white wooden rods that framed the copy of The Annunciation painting. Kit tired to shield her eyes from the flames as sparks flew toward her body. Flames like a snake slithered from book to book, curtain to curtain surrounding her in the bedroom. She could hear screams on the yard, but the roar of the fire deafened her voice to anyone able to bring her aid.

She searched the room with her eyes to find some way of escape but all she seen was flames as they began to crawl across the ceiling dropping hot ash on to her body, her lungs heavy as she gasped for air just to be met with smothering heat, each inhale brought the fiery vapor in to her tightening lungs the compression weighed her body down violently. Her muscles felt thin, weak the heat seeped through her body stealing her lucidity and replacing it with severe agony coagulating within ever inch of her veins. She collapsed to her knees embracing,

'No where to go'

The words repeated through her mind, as the flames edged her soft skin. Her mind listless in her thoughts; agony ripping through her body, she tired to scream but nothing would come out but small shallow coughs, tears that rose to her eyes; evaporated.

""Help me"

A last whispered plea made in vain. The torture ripped through her body as the flames rose over her like a mouth and swallowed her.

A silent mystery begins to unfold

As the clouds gently rolled

Pasting by my eyes like a slow dance

I become hypnotize

Frail like a child with delight

A cool breeze blows across my skin

Seeping bone deep

I forget the story

Of my misery that I reap

And breathe

Blow, blow thou winter wind

Take me to thee

For the love of hope

I beg your purity

Category: Writing and Poetry

Week 19 Topic: Better Chemistry
bonus points
(hard, 2 points): using the phrase "for whom the bell tolls"
(easy, 1 point): include mermaids

Sissy do hear that? Pippin curled the covers around his head to try and deafen the scraping noise from above. It wasn't just the sound of screeching metal that prayed out the mind of this seven years old the occasional dull thud hitting a solid wall is what drove his imagination to the extreme. What kind of beast would make these noises? Was that his last victim being discarded like yesterdays news?

Pippin was certain that this beast meant business and soon it would be on the doorstep.

Sissy are you awake? Pippin through his three stuffed one eyed mermaids across the room hitting his sister in the head.

"yes I heard it I hear it every night and it is nothing! Will you please just go to sleep!" his 12 year old sister disciplined him.

The night past slowly and the screeching lessened as it always did but tonight was different an extremely low hum could be heard so low that Pippin wasn't even sure he heard it at all. Then suddenly the hum disappeared but that did not silence Pippin's curiosity. He crept out of bed gathering him shoes within his palms he headed out to the hall slipping the shoes over he enormously fat feet he tip toed to the door and ran out to the center of the village that laid ghostly silent in the dead of night. A circle formed by houses shadowed by a large staircase that was forbidden for children to climb. But he knew where the sound came from he knew that up those stairs was a horrible beast. But just how horrible was it he wondered his father always told him that it was only the unknown that could frighten him and he was done with being frighten he made up his mind he was going!

He quickly glanced back at the towns clock tower where the words "for whom the bell tolls" where etched under the clock. He wrinkled up his purplish snout and at the words and ran to the staircase. As he crept higher and higher above the only world he'd ever know he realized that there was no door at the top just a small opening.

If the best was so horrible why wouldn't they put a door there to keep it out he wondered. He quickly jotted out of the opening to see a metal web above him being held by four metal polls, a quickly screech sent him scurrying onto the floor and silence laid around him once more. His heart pounded thick in his chest as he swallowed hard and ran out from underneath the web his three eyes widen with fear, and curiosity at he same time as his wild purple ears pointed straight up he realized that that the horrible beast was just a frighten and curious as he.

He stared at the two blue eye and creamy white skin, Yuk what an ugly creature he thought. Only tow hand and two feet. How does it ever move with only two feet? He thought as he looked down at his silky smooth tentacles that formed his legs.

The giant beast leaned down and picked him up with one hand and whispered

"Are you the monster from under my bed?"

"Monster! I'm no monster. Are you the beast that screeches at night when I am trying to sleep?"

"My bed does screech but I didn't think that it kept anyone awake".

"Well it does! Now if you don't put me down I am going to hurt you" Pippin threatened

"Ha-ha what are you going to do to me I'm ten times bigger then you and besides the rats don't work with my new potion so I think I am going to use you it makes better chemistry to use something unknown to test on."

Pippin glanced at the floor and seen a four dead rats.

And know he knew what his father meant when he said

"Curiosity is sometimes better served when it stays unknown".

1:57 PM - week 17
Category: Writing and Poetry

Sarah sat quietly looking at the pink shade of her lips, examine the texture of her skin. She closed her eyes and felt like porcelain again.

A puff of roses streamed through the air landing on Sarah's freshly powdered skin. She smoothly slipped into her silky red dress and quietly placed her small dainty feet in the perfect matching heels. She stared in the mirror; yes indeed she was definitely dressed to kill.

She closed her eyes tighter and breathed a sigh, it's time. No turning back now the world seemed to fade into a dreamy haze and there she stood entering the Masterson's Grand Hall.

The ball looked more delicate this year than the previous years but this didn't surprise her after all the Masterson's out did themselves year after year. She gracefully floating across the hall her body language spoke to everyone but her eyes searched for one just one. And there he was perfectly placed on the balcony with his new memorizing beautiful arm piece.
A pit of fire began to boil with in her gut as she remembered not to long ago it was her that was the mesmerizingly beautiful arm piece, but that was before she realized that all the stories were true every last one she had ever heard.

'Sarah, my dear you look like a blessing sent from Venus' Jade Matersen took her attention.

' Well thank you Jade, if the women from Venus display a horrid scars across their face then you'd be right' The fiery pit in Sarah's gut boiled through out her body filling her with anger.

'I'm sorry Sarah but you are so strong willed! Just showing up here will teach him a lesson' Jaded tried to console

' Oh sure and maybe his new arm piece will see her fate and leave him before the night is through' Sarah's sarcasm echoed strongly through her words after all she knew that he had already made up a masterful lie to cover his part in the scars upon her face.

Jade meekly slunk away leaving Sarah to her anger and regret that bounced through her mind quickly being joined by doubt and blame. After all she heard so many stories of the violence he was capable of she did have the chance to leave but she choose to stay and absorb blow after blow not just psychically but mentally too.

She slowly opened her eyes and gazed at the now faded scar stretching from the one eye across her nose to the bottom of her cheek. Her eyes closed again and the rose scented perfume took her back to the age of porcelain the age she was still clean of horrid secrets.

She floated to the nearest waiter and asked him to deliver two drinks to to the balcony one for Mae that she placed a vile of bleach in while the waiter was preparing the other for Shane.
As Shane stared at the glass the waiter handed him he dismissed (just like she hoped he would) the the waiter made a mistake and gave his drink to Mae. They quickly exchanged drinks and he  sipped his martietii immediately sip it out instantly becoming anger with Mae blaming her for the burns that now invaded his mouth. He furiously grabbed her face in his hands squeezing her jaw tightly,
'If you ever pull something like that again it will be the last thing you ever do'

Sarah smiled and whimpered under her breath
    'Dance puppet dance'
Within minuets after Shane's dramatic scene darkness filled the hall complete power failure sent tension through the hall. Sarah did even breath a second thought as she made her way through the distorted crowd to the balcony she quickly took hold of who she knew to be Mae even into he complete total darkness that settled around her she knew from he scent that pour over her body the what she knew to be a poison the perfume that Shane insisted all his arm pieces wear.

'I'm Sorry' Sarah whispered in her ear and she yanked the string of pearls off her neck and quickly pushed her off the third story balcony, The heart wrenching scream echoed all the way down until it came to an end witha hard thud from Mae hitting hte concrete below. A maddened paink over came the crowd, and she quickly placed the pearls in Shanes hand pretending to be Mae giving him a quick peak on the cheek so he'd accept the pearls.

She swiftly made her way from the balcony to mix with the panicked crowd just as the light came on.

Sarah shifted quietly in her chair and opened her eyes looking deeper in to the mirror she softly spoke to herself,
'There now it doesn't look that bad, exspiecally since since he'd  been in prison for sixty years for a murder he didn't commite, But he would have' she comforted herself and gave a little giggle
'sixty years of watching that ugly scar fade to wrinkles i believe i am more porcelain that i ever was before' She admired herself on more time by taking a walk through the memory of the night the unsee scars became the face of her.

Week 13 Topic: Who Really Knows The Answer?
bonus points:
(hard, 2 points): use the phrase "six at the price of one"
(easy, 1 point): use the phrase "bane of my existence"

The stresser (making a serial killer)

Striking pain ripped through Megan's mind waking her from warm sleep and wishful memories, the snow had begun to fall making the hole she laid in look gentle and inviting. Was anyone looking for her? she wondered. His voice was so sweet and calm now she was certain she was not his first and probably not the last as the memory of the last voice echoed words of fear as she stared down in to the hole he had dug just for her.

She stared down at her leg seeing the bone that ripped through her skin she knew if no one found her she would be dead by morning either from shock or bleeding to death, she silently prayed she could fall asleep once more and not realize when death took her.

She stared up to the twinkling stars how beautiful they shined mocking her fear; tears began to streak down her already puffy tears stained red cheeks,

"My naivety is the bane of my existence" She whispered to herself just as she began to accept this was her final night her final hour a car door echoed thought the night raising her heart and bring her hope back.

"HEY!" she tried to screamed but her throat was so dry it cracked and came out as a whisper instead of a scream. She struggled to get to her feet,

'Noise' she thought 'any kind of noise is bound to get attention

Sure enough she was right foot steps so closer to her untimely grave. She knew she be safe she was sure of it. But then a pinch of fear gripped her heart she was also sure that Matthew would never harm her.

There he was his soft blonde hair and striking blue eyes stared down at her filling her heart with panic. Why was he back what more could he do for her. He knelt down and smiled at her sending shivers through her body. How could she have ever though he was handsome.

"You know Megan your kind of good for me, it is because of you I got six at the price of one "

He quickly pushed her roommate Carrie down the hole and with her falling brought four others roped together. The hope shattered in her heart as she stared at their bruised and bloody faces, she knew Carrie would put up a fight and she was sure she did but by the looks of her face he obviously won that fight, now her ignorance has taken her beloved friends lives as well.

Matthew laughed a wicked cackle and walked away leaving the bruised and beaten girls to their death.

Megan began to sob murmuring her apologies not that it would not change anything when Carrie stood and slapped Megan hard,

"Shut up!" She quickly twisted her hands free of the rope and began to untie the others. "Gabby give me a lift then Meg next Trinity you go last seeing as how you're the tallest and can jump up in to our hands"

With in minutes the girls were out of the hole and Megan felt relief and life flush through her body.

"What are we going to do about him" Trinity asked

"Who really knows the answer to that?" Carrie spouted in her natural authority tone she pulled out a brown bag from her seat shirt pocket her obsession with chemistry and bugs left the girls to their imagination but one thing was sure Megan breathed within her thoughts she might not be his first victim but he'd be hers. She could get use to and now felt quite comfortable in the idea of ridding the world of the damaged ones.

NEWS--

Those of you who know Chery know that even when the control is out of his hands he can't help but to take the hard road. Chery surgery was early this morning and took 3 hours, they expected it to take closer to 2 hours.

The good news is that the damage was not as bad as they thought and ended up only taking 1/4 of his stomach instead of 1/3.

Bad news is he had a bad reaction to the anesthesia ,they sort of expected it and were prepared for it BUT he has not woken up yet and they said he should have by now and his sensory nerves are unresponsive. Doctors are concerned. Prayers are needed.

NEWS UPDATE:

Chery finally woke up and is trying to speak he said and i quote

"I am nevering doing this again"

then he quickly fell back asleep, Jason says his stats have stabled out and his blood pressure has come up it is still extremely low but not dangerously low.

:-D

SORROWFILLED news - Chery has taken a trun for the worst,

Terry sat staring across the stars looking for that moment when time had lapsed and the black hole manifested in his life. He could only imgine the geometrical property of a black hole that manifests itself in that on the other side of the black hole another set of dimensions has been attached to the one from our universe but that was all he had to hold on to was his imgination.

Tears streaked his face as his memories floated back taking his mind from the star his beautiful Trixie her soft golden hair how it waved in the wind, back to the last halloween they spent together her dresed up in purple leg warmers he was sure that would be the new "hip" thing to do.

He couldn't take it anymore he jumped up he had to do something something to stop this horrible demise, he ran to the kitchen and grabbed his jacket scooted out the back door and plopped on his bike he had to save her from this after all she was his best friend and she would do the same for him.

Down the street he peddled as fast as his feet would go until lighten began to strike in the distance threatening his courage, with all his strength he pushed him self on fearing the sharp turns that laid ahead, he knew if he took them took fast he'd lose control and wind up in the river. grabbing the brakes at the last mintue he truned his bike on a drop of a dime surpirzing himself and giving him the extra courage he need to make the next four blocks.

He came to a scretching halt in front of a large dark brick building filled with errie howls and ghostly winds fear tighten in his stomach leaving him to gasp for breath, he swallowed hard and shot throught door running straight into his mom and there at her side stood his beautiful Trixie, he wastoolate she had no hair the vet had already shaved her bald.

LOL too be a kid again and have what is going to happen to our family pet being the biggest worry.   but hey it got the bonus points and topic in it

No longer is Lucy in the sky with diamonds

She'll have to learn to get by with a little help from my friends

As her deep blue eyes open for the first time

No more kissing the waves with luminance sprays

now her job day after day

is handing out shower surveys

Do you know what this supposed to be?

It's Lucy's life after the tangerine trees dye

And the marmalade skies

Fade to real life and the newspaper taxi's aren't as nice.

So for Lucy's sake come and stop by

and give

Family Pet

The foggy breeze cooled the night down with an eerie mist settling on Kelly and Brent. As they tracked through the dense forest, the green moss moisten fast making the path slippery leaving Kelly wishing she had wore more sensible shoes. But how could she have known where Brent was taking her. After all it was supposed to be a secret date; with him being the only one to know the unsaid rules of how to dress. She silently scoffed at herself for getting in to a relationship with such a spontaneous abnormal guy.

"Your face is so pale. Ease up a little your so up tight" Brent picked on Kelly's anxiety.

"Shut up, I just don't want to get lost out here in the middle of no where" Kelly relented

Brent flashed his huge handsome smile at her releasing every bit of tension within her body replacing it with the real reason why she was so quick to agree to a secret date with him. His bright green eyes laughing with mystery and his shaggy blonde hair taking her breath away with every glace in her direction.

"So where are we going?" She quizzed

"Well I guess I can tell you now, My grandfather has a cabin up here nestled right back against the mountain"

"Cabin? Well now" her heart froze instantly as her mind raced for things to say she didn't want to scare him away but then again what did he expect to do.

"Well it's not really a cabin, it more like a stick frame for one with aluminum siding on it." He continued to explain "he kept all kind of strange things, I thought since this is our actual first date without friends you should know a little bit about my life"

Kelly swished her brown hair off to the side taking in a deep breath to brush off her worries,

"What sort of strange things?"

"Well you know the type of things you would normally see if you'd came from Mars"

Her stomached tight with laughter as she tried to see if he was serious or not. He turned and place a his hand on her cheek, caressing her face he once again flashed his enchanting smile,

"Its ok most people laugh"

She heard the tone of his voice sadden although she had only now him for a few weeks she could tell he had a lot of pain mixed in with this mars thing. Could it have been that he grew up with a grandfather that thought he was abducted? She quickly dug in to her playful creative mind,

"Well if I were from Mars, I'd have to decorate my house in green"

"What?"

"Well all that red dust you know so green so Christmas like don't ya think?" she blushed hoping that she didn't offend him.

"See now that is why I like you"

The further down the path they went the thicker the fog became until she couldn't see even her own hand in front of her. frozen in fear she reached out to find Brent's back but found nothing, she stomach tighten with anxiety and her heart rapidly pound her in her chest. As her breath quickened her lungs tightened as if they were stuck in a freezer. Then instantly she felt a hand tight around her waist pulling her in to a lowly light room filled with shelves from top to bottom and the mouth of a cave leading off the back.

She glanced from shelf to shelf rocks that glittered with reds and blues, small gems that danced in the low light. An almost magical feeling swept over her body, she was breath taken at the wondrous treasures that before her eyes she began to search the room for Brent.

There beside the door his handsome physique stood staring at her with sorrow filled eyes.

"What's wrong?" she asked

"You see he is just well a family pet that has got to eat you understand"

"What?"

"For what is worth I had fun" And with that Brent quickly slipped through the door closing it behind him.

Her heart raced filled with terror as she ran to the now locked door, a faint sound of nails scratching against rock could be heard from behind, she slowly turned to see an enormous beast crouching close to the ground in front of her. His masked black eyes dripped hunger within the wanting stare his striped tail looked matted with bones and dirt, his sharp claws dug down in to the rocky ground inching his way forward.

Week 9 Topic: The Woods Out Back

bonus points (hard, 2 points): Include the breaking of Grandma's ugly vase.

bonus points (easy, 1 point): Mention the Moonwalk
.

Ann sat on her back step staring in the sky, that danced in the darkness with lighten flashes striking her eye. breathing in deeply the sky opens and sprinkles land leaving her exhaling in a sigh. Little blonde heads lay dreaming in their beds, while Ann sits and stares at the thick woods out back.

Leaves falling from the trees, red and gold streaming. fleeing everywhere but to Ann's side. Across the sky pink and green light ripples away and yet they bring around patients the friend. He crawls near and sits at her side with no fear. But where was he when the Grandma's vase broke before this days end

Smile crosses her face as the painting in the sky keeps it pace. Ann knows this is a parade of unknown power and beauty in display. Making her laugh knowing that she never liked that ugly vase anyway. Whispers in her head of the day drifting to her lips this is what she had to say,

"Oh I thank you Lord for this day. The light parade you are putting on display make my heart sing and dance, pushing out this stress filled day. How it dances across the sky with the Moon up high. How did you know I needed to see the beauty you give even in the shadow of the night moonwalking across the night feeling the protection you give in all this light. I hurt no more you take it way. the pain of this day I will no longer put on display. Thank you Oh Lord for this day"

Inner mind

"Hello, my name is Hannah" a soft voice ringed through Markus Bennington's mind. "I am right here next to you" the sweet voice assured. Markus looked around and still he seen nothing, but he could hear her, where did the voice come from where is she. A heavy fog began to lift as she spoke again. " I am 5'2", blonde short curly hair, with brown round eyes. I have a gray sports coat on with matching dress slacks. I wear black slip on loafers" suddenly Markus could see a very beautiful woman standing right next to him as if she was there for hours. "Where did you come from?.." He managed to stutter before a piercing pain shot through his head. A flash of light made him stumble backward right before he witnessed his motorcycle hitting the back of a semi-truck. "W-W-What is going on?"

"I want you to relax and sit down in that nice green lounge sofa right behind you" Hannah voice was so convincing that Markus could not dispute this action. He sat down rubbing the material, he had never felt anything like it before. It looked like cotton yet felt smooth like silk. And warm to the touch ,very inviting. " do you mind if I sit down in that gray office chair next to the corner table" Hannah asked suggestively. Markus took his eyes off the sofa and looked to his right. There sat a corner end table with two cups of coffee and next to that was a gray office chair like what he sits in at work.

"Where did that come from? That wasn't there a moment ago .Was it?" Markus asked just as the sudden need over came him t o lay down. "Now that is better" Hannah said comforting. " ok now for your questions. One .where did I come from? I came from Komodo Island. Where did you come from?" Markus became confused when he had asked the question that was not what he meant, and he had a feeling that she knew that. But he felt compelled to answer her question "Florida"

"It must be quite beautiful this time of year" Hannah said dismissingly.

"um. Where did you come from just a few seconds ago. One minute your not there and the next here you are?"

" I am sitting right next to you in the Madison, Wisconsin St. Mary's hospital"

Markus felt a surge of urgency "HOSPITAL?"

"now the second question, "What is going on? I am a mediator. I can enter the mind a person who has been incapacitated to react with people psychically"

"What?" Markus now more confused then ever.

"third question, Where did that come from? The sofa, chair, coffee, corner table ,even me came from your mind. As I described things to you in detail you thought them ,which brought them to life in your mind. Is there anymore questions you wish to ask?"

"What happened to me?" Markus asked as 5 second flashes of a horrible accident flickered through his thoughts.

"You were in an accident. A semi- truck in front of you stopped with out warning and you ran in to the back of it. You have been here in the hospital for 7 months, your mother and father are here. They brought me. The doctor has told them that if you don't show some signs of brain active they will be faced with the a choice to turn off life support." Hannah explained. "Your parents brought me here to try to help you heal your mind, small steps. You have already taken one."

Markus looked a her confused. "you put two cups of coffee on the corner table I did not suggest that you should offer coffee. You brought it." Hannah took a long deep breath,

"what is next?"

"well we talk, your mind will heal as soon as you relive the accident and face the reality of your future."

Markus closed his eyes this was too much he must be dreaming there is no way that a person can enter another's mind. But when he was in Rome he did hear something on the news about a people who claimed they could but really who would actually believe such a story. "Doubts are good it show action" Hannah whispered. Markus looked up at her quickly how did she know what he was thinking? She looked at him with the most hypnotizing brown eyes he had ever seen, "What you think comes to life I see what you think." Markus sighed and laid back down the pain in his head grew to a horrible intensity. He seemed to drift in to a sleep filled state. His past birthdays swam past in moments even ones he had not thoughts of in years. His eighth birthday when he finally won the bike race down Miller's hill, the way his first kiss tasted sweet like honey, he laughed of course it did they had just been eating honey, the moment he realized that innocent Marie was the one he'd marry, soft golden locks to long hair smelled like a rose even when she didn't have perfume on.

Markus open his mind and felt like he had a complete life time to relive this one. He looked up and seen the beautiful blonde Hannah sitting staring at him patiently. The sweetest smile over took her face and a gentle touch of roses breezed past reminding him of the last day he left truly alive.

"and did you marry her?" Hannah voice melted in the air.

"yes, I did." he answered then grew very quiet "She died in a car accident." a dark gaze flooded over his face. This was one memory he didn't want to relive. He fixed his eyes upon Hannah's sweet smile. Quickly it took him back to that day, that truly happy day. He and Marie sat on the lake just the two of them. Watching the lake flow gently. Relaxed, calm, whole that was the last time he felt truly loved.

He looked away from Hannah and turned his head out, he could see his mother wiping her tears at his bedside. His father standing behind her trying to comfort her Fear rushed through Markus' mind "what if I can't come back."

"you can. You just need to try."

"how do you come and go?" Markus whispered.

"I come through a window. You seen a mind is like a room with no doors, but windows everywhere. A person who is comatose has shut all the window but one that one window is what keeps you alive" Hannah answered. He closed his eyes and his life began to fill his thoughts ,but this time it was different , he wathced sadness of his life repeat day after day no happiness, no smiles nothing. Yet he could not weep not with her there, he started to become attached to Hannah's presences, no matter how loney he felt, no matter how desperate the memory, he knew she was there. A feeling he had not had in a long time. Markus watched a his beautiful wife died in his arms, and felt no grief for the first time in years of reliving this memory. His house brunt to the ground taking the life of his oldest friend, Snapper his Great Dane. He had not realized just how sad his life had been.

Days past then years Markus felt no happiness in any memory, he searched he looked and then he realized that the happiness, the companionship that sweet Hannah provided was the only bliss he had felt since the day at the lake.. He opened his eyes and looked at Hannah who was no longer smiling. "Ok now Markus I am here to help you wake up. You need to wake up" she said with a tinge of fear in her voice. He could tell she no longer felt comfortable with him she feared him his consciences of her. He didn't want to hurt , he didn't want to cause fear. After all she came to him right.

"Markus your mother is waiting" Hannah said

"why should I go back? I have been so unhappy for so long. I feel good here, I am not alone"

"I am not here to stay Markus, I am just here to help"

"but what would happen to you if I do wake up?"

"I would go back to my life in northern Wisconsin and you would go back to yours"

Windows began to appear staggering through out the walls. All closed Hannah's big brown eyes grew huge as she leaped out of her chair.

"I don't want to go back to that life, I want you to stay with me"

"MARKUS, you must stop I have to go, I have to go back to my body" she started to staggered toward a corner in that had no window.

"I don't want to go back, I want you to stay. I like you here. You can stay just for awhile right?"

"No, Markus I mu
