2013
Current mood: determined
Category: Music

2013 is the new song on my bands page its the first friend in my friend list. This has never been on line and is about 8 minutes long. Its about the end of the world in away, if you know anything about the Mayan Calendar, which says the world will end in 2012. It is also the first time we have done a song of ours that I sing in. Check it out and let me know what you think.

Leaf bearing Shadow

This Leaf bearing Shadow
This back of weight bearing load
This trouble with solution
This mystery devoured -

Most cower looking into the Forest.
Most shutter and twitch when not with Tribe,
Clinging to the useless tools of their time.

This Forest behind Leaf bearing Shadow -
This was a maze to my eyes lost to lifetimes.

Not humbled by titles or currencies -
This bounty known as lost and ancient.

Now Buried under this palace of ignorance,

Of rock and rot

Dirt and Death -

Where wisdom is harder to find than water.

My Forest is this language lost to time.

Tumble Dry
Category: Writing and Poetry

Cancer and Tarnish

Grime in the round glass

Clashing strip

           Of tile and dust

         In a place that jitters,

              And whines

         While it's working.

I've fallen deep behind

                   Its shaking

                     of time.

Sleepy – Drifting

Drowsy – Dreaming

Filth on my fingers

When they're supposed to be clean.

Crap T.V. is my Symphony

                 in this hour.

Want to walk away

   When the fabric's done drowning.

I can't stay awake much longer.

Another Life
Category: Writing and Poetry

  Unusual is this lifetime

  Damaged in midnight ravage.

Opening the blinds to see the outside,

                 As it rains

                 As it thunders

                 As it roars and pours.

The roof is leaking

    Onto wood floors swelling.

A tear runs away from my lady's eye,

She is sad that we are here,

    And that we are poor.

White bread and cheese

Our five-star meal for the evening,

    Browned water

                 Our glass of wine.

For dessert - the nap we take after,

                 To leave it all behind.

She brushes her hair

    Using the cracked mirror

That I found in the trash last Sunday.

I'm sorry I say,

    While testing T.V. reception

    With a foil wrapped hanger

                   No picture to be seen.

I tried the raspy clock radio

    With music that's working – Jazz –

With a beat that makes the rain drops quiver.

I give her a hug -

    She's still brushing her hair.

I tell her I love her

And let my lips touch her.

The brush is set down,

The lights soon out,

The music still on,

     It's time in this darkness

                    For hearts to mend.

Poem - Bad week girl
Current mood: productive
Category: Writing and Poetry

Bad week girl

Sweet vision of confusion
Down and out
Somewhat lost
Somewhat lonely
Don't cry
Don't wonder
Don't worry.

The hardest parts of life
Are shown to us
           As surprises.

The greatest victories we have
Are the triumphs that we have
           Over them.

In a week of no sleep
Lonely beds
And raised voices
It's the smile that's hard to come by
That is worth the most.

Poem - Ourspace
Current mood: content
Category: Writing and Poetry

Ourspace

I see all these faces
   With typed hellos

I go page by page in internet wandering,
   Wondering what profile will become
      My next stranger/friend.

We correspond politely
We flirt with intelligence
We are all intelligent,
When given so much time to reply.

Like Old West letters,
And Civil War journals,
Our words can be built into Beauty –
          Without talent –
          But time.

Time to think,
      With no worry of reaction.
Time for life,
With an eye on what's real.
Time for distraction,
With an eye on what remains.

A prize are those eyes on this page.

Poem - Roof
Current mood: curious
Category: Writing and Poetry

Roof

Escape this land
 This city –
  Is a dream.
Completely untied
  To the blues the world
   Is singing.

It's not enough
 And it hasn't been.

Release my mind
 From a prison of shores

To you and your mother
 I'll tell you I'm drowning

I got a book with no backing
That became a house with no roof.

It's been raining for days
But I'm high and uncaring.

I've had chances to fix it
 And I lost them.

I don't know who she is
I don't know where she's been
And  I don't know if I can find her again
But I know where I was
 When I met her.

 Nearly dead
 And barely breathing

The Mother of Mothers
  Has saved me
Her world is my womb
So I may need no roof/

The Father of Fathers
  Has taken me
To his clock. I was brought
 And taught to listen
  For its chimes.
Oh, the distance it gave me
From the rest of the world
  Has saved me.
