weekend trip

Went skiing over the holiday weekend. First time ever. What an experience. Why do they not warn you? why do they not tell you? Your life is at stake!!!

Instructor was a complete waste of time. I guess he was just more interested in getting back to skiing. He said things like, go on, press in your toe to turn, wedge to stop and grab onto the bar to get onto the lift. The end!!! And off he went. So off I went to the ski lift. Figured, sounds easy.   First off, I got onto the lift well enough. Didnt pull down the bar. Didnt realize I was suppose to! So up I go and fear of heights and falling kicks in and OMG!!! I cant do this! At this point there is no grabbing of the bar as I cant pry my hand off the back of the chair. So I breath. Dont look down dont look down. Of course I looked down. Breath breath breath. PS. I made it. Shaking and hyperventilating, I made it. Ok, now I need to go down. Holiday weekends equals millions of people. So I shove off. And this is how it goes. I have NO CLUE HOW TO DO THIS!!! I CANT STOP!! OMG THERE ARE PEOPLE!!! So I am speeding down the hill with no clue as how to stop. None zero. Pizza wedges my ass! I CANT STOP!!! Turning? I was suppose to turn?? So I did the most logical thing I could think of. I flung myself on the ground. Thank gd I stopped. Ok, I slip down another quarter of the mt this was, and now snow is soaking me through all the layers, but I stopped! I went through this process 3 more times. Bottom of the hill I met my friends kid. He's 14. He's an expert. (typical) He said he'd show me what to do. Up we went (down came the bar right away) and then he said you keep turning and then its easier to stop! So down I went. And I was looking and turning and looking and turning!!! This was good! I could do this. Ok, so the last part I lost concentration and started to speed once more, and did "the fling", but I skiied! I look to my left and there are paramedics strapping this guy to a back board!!

And this all took place on the bunny hill!!!

All in all I had a great time!!!! Skiing is da bomb!

So the question becomes one of moral ethics. Or maybe its as simple as eliminating the weird factor. Children on this site. I do know there is an age limit. And allowing them to be your friends? Reeks of something unnatural. Recently found one of my friends was a 15 yr old kid. Not happy. Gonna have to do something about that. If you want to be free in an adult world, you still have to watch out for the next generation. You cant be irresponsible and shrug your shoulders.   Ok, off my soap box.

Debating how much to put here on myspace. Does anyone ever read it? Does it matter? Just to fill a space. Enjoying the warm weather. Hoping to find that amazing song, filling the day with mundane chores. Ahhhh to be alive.

Saw Big Fish Last night. Hmmm not sure how I liked it. Was done beautifully, and Tim Burton did a fab job. But the plot was a bit slow. Jury is still out...
