01:07 - Everything I have said does not matter. This is what is really important.
Category: Movies, TV, Celebrities

No, it isn't.  But I wouldn't have a good sense of humor if i didn't say such things.  perhaps this is not a good sense of humor, just a reality in life.  Anyway, this will probably not make a lot of sense to a lot of people.  I just need to vent a bit.  I don't really even know about what.  I love life.  It is exciting.  And without it, I would probably be about 6' underground.

I love life.  Enjoy it.  It looks like i am angry in my picture.  i am not.  just trying to hold up the evil conservative side.  never take me too seriously anyway.  I have 5 views on my blog today.  at 4 am.  give a shout out.  and subscribe to my blog.

15:39 - Enemy at the Gate
Current mood: depressed
Category: Life

There is an enemy at my doorstep.  This enemy destroys my budget, tramples my health, divides my family and interrupts my life.  Yet I give this enemy my priority.  I go outside to meet with my enemy even though the ones I love are inside.  My children see me with my enemy, and will start to think he is my friend.  I have friends who despise my enemy, yet I pull them outside, or alienate them, leaving them inside alone, so I can meet with my enemy.  Well, after many years, I am kicking my enemy out of my life; for I am tired of him ruling my life.

For the past 3 or 4 months, I have been trying to quit smoking.  I started to cut down to 10 per day, which was successful.  I then tried to eliminate 1 cigarette per day each week.  Again, that worked pretty well, until I hit 4 smokes per day.  Around this time, we realized we didn't have a whole lot of money.  It didn't seem to matter, there was always room in the budget for another pack of cigarettes.

That being said, I have been a whopping day without a cigarette.  woo hoo!  And here I am spending the entire evening sleeping on the couch, being mean to my family, and ignoring my wife.  The funny thing is I don't really feel like I need a cigarette, but I know it would be better if I went outside and had one.  Well, better temporarily.  In the long run, it would of course just be digging the hooks deeper and deeper.

So here I sit, between a rock and a hard place.  I must choose between my family and my enemy.  Yet when I deny my enemy, it certainly feels like I am choosing against my family.  Given a week or two, I hope it gets better.  I hope I am able to keep cigarettes away from my lips.  I loathe cigarettes, yet for so long I go back to them.  I refuse to do so any more.  I just pray for the strength of my family until I can safely remove these hooks from my heart.  I knew this was coming.  For so long I intentionally chose my enemy, because that felt like choosing my family.  Yet now I see choosing my enemy is only leading my family along the path of destruction.  I must endure this, and hopefully my family can as well.  I guess this is one of those times when I have to remember my family will come out stronger in the end.  I know it, I just wish I could believe it.

Ok, so I have had a lot of readers this week.  I am assuming this isn't one person looking at my blog 243 times.  I think I may even have some world-wide readers, as I do not have that many friends.  This being said, now look at my comments.  Very few.  Of course, if you have nothing to add, this does not involve you.  But feel free to show some love, and add a comment.  If you don't disagree with me, show some love.  If you do disagree, take a sip of your haterade, and let'er rip!  In any case, feel free to comment.  I enjoy the feedback.  Oh, and if you are not on my friends list, introduce yourself, and get yourself there.  I like people.

Ok, I think I am now boring you.  Sorry.

whelp, see ya later!

17:27 - And in other news...
Current mood: busy
Category: Goals, Plans, Hopes

Delhi's deputy major dies after falling from a terrace while trying to fight off a horde of wild monkeys.

Now please understand, I typically try not to laugh when there is a news story about someone's tragic death, but I simply could not help it when you throw in the tragic death was due to severe head injury inflicted by a wild horde of monkeys.  If you can read this with a straight face, you are a better man than i.

Please note the pinnacle of the story (in my opinion, anyway), where the Delhi populace came up with and interesting solution, "One approach has been to train bands of larger, more ferocious langur monkeys to go after the smaller groups of Rhesus macaques."  Can you say Planet of the Apes?

Anyway, I am doing homework, trying desparately not to get distracted, so I leave you with this:

Whelp, see ya later!

18:26 - Conspiricy from Beyond the Sewers, Pt. 3
Category: Quiz/Survey

Well, by popular demand, I have decided to enlighten you on the end of my toilet story.  I had planned on writing this before, but other things had come up, and I had, truthfully, forgotten about it, until a great friend brought it up again, and I remembered I had left all of you hanging.  Sorry.

Ok, so since the toilet problem, I had discovered a new problem:  A wet spot lying between my kitchen and livingroom.  The wet spot, about three feet long and a foot wide had surfaced on my carpet.  My evil genius hypothesized a leak behind the walls of the kitchen, travelling under the linoleum, surfacing at the carpet.  I also figured all these problems must be together, due to the proximity to the satan toilet.  In any case, I also presumed my DIY...self...was in over my head.  So I call the plumber, hoping to beg his mercy in the bill.

Plumber comes out, and I attempt to impress him with my witty theory.  My theory got shot down before I finished.  Plumber says let's try snaking out the pipes, see what happens.  He says this should stop the gurgling, leaking, backing up, and the previously unmentioned garbage disposal issues (the garbage disposal had started backing up as well.)  I like this plan, as it will cost me a quoted $85, which is better than the ka-gillion, ba-gillion of my nightmares.  Plumber comes, snakes, leaves.  Toilet flushes like a dream.  The plumber even offered to differ payment until confirmed remedy.  I will definately be repeat customer, if necessary.

So I pull the carpet up, dry the padding, soak up the water, and dry the carpet.  Time now to wait.  So far, all seems well.  A couple days later, however, wet spot comes back.  Julie calls the plumber on Friday, but the office said he had to run out of town.  DIY Joe is back in full effect.  The toilet is still all going well; actually better than ever, so I think perhaps this isn't the problem.  My theory is still tagging along in my mind, so I think, why not, I will pull out the dishwasher, and see what I can find.

In May, I installed my automatic ice maker, tapping into the pipe behind the dishwasher, running the tube around the kitchen floor to the back of the fridge.  When I installed said tube, I had no leaks.  Lo and behold, the tube was dripping once every 5 seconds or so for who knows how many months.  As I pull out the dishwasher, I see the floor covered in about an inch of water, and the tube dripping.  So I pull off the nut, put on some teflon tape, tighten the nut, and watch.  No drip.

I dry off the floor, let the fan sit on the wood for a couple of days, re-dry the carpet, and wait.  No drip.  I put the dishwasher back in, tack the carpet back down, and watch.  No more wet carpet after a couple of weeks.  I WIN!  not only fixed the problem, my theory was right all along!  WOO HOO!  I have not yet called the plumber to rub it in yet.  Maybe in a couple more days.  Or perhaps I will just brag to my wife a little more.

Oh, in my self defense, if you see what I am watching, not my pick.  Don't hold me responsible.  Oh, and i give this movie like 1 out of 5 *, unless I can give less than one *.

Whelp, see ya later!

23:04 - Some peoples’ kids...
Current mood: geeky
Category: Movies, TV, Celebrities

Ok,  I just finished playing scrabble online (www.scrabulous.com), and I had to share the conversation I just had with this kid.  A little background, my avatar is a pirate.  Ok, that is all the background you need.  So without further ado, our conversation while she is schooling me in the ways of scrabble:

pollofeo : howdy....

wordynerdy:  ugly chicken, haha :)

wordynerdy:  hey

pollofeo : dats me...

wordynerdy:  are you latino?

pollofeo : nope...just a white boy w/ an odd sense of humor...

pollofeo : plus, no one ever takes my name...

wordynerdy:  had a feeling u weren't

pollofeo : the eye patch give it away?

wordynerdy:  actually i wasn't going by your picture

wordynerdy:  just women's intuition

pollofeo : oh...must be the accent then...totally fake, i admit...

wordynerdy:  i can't hear your accent over the computer!

pollofeo : right.

Now don't get me wrong, I have a very dry sense of humor, but I just don't think she got it.  I mean, usually people understand my sense of humor, and don't find it funny.  I expect this.  What throws me for a loop is when people respond as though I was offering valid conversation.  At this point, I have no clue what to say.

Anyway, just wanted to share.  Hopefully will bring a smile to your face, then not all my efforts will be wasted.

Whelp, see ya later!

08:13 - You reap what you sow
Current mood: optimistic
Category: Goals, Plans, Hopes

We have all heard this:  You reap what you sow.  I know what it means:  You do evil, you get evil in return.  You do good, good sprouts up.  Until now, I have not understood the full ramifications of such.  For a very long time, my family has spent money when we had none.  We spent it on stuff we didn't need with assets we didn't have.  It is beginning to catch up...no, it has caught up to us.  We are in full harvest of our reapings right now.  I don't want to air all our dirty laundry, as it seems we don't seem to want to do that; but last month, we had $800 in service charges.  Well, we are in the process of turning our trends around.  We have started spending only cash.  The only thing I fear is our cash stash is fairly low, even on pay day.  This is the consequences of our harvest.  But if we can survive one or two paychecks with little more than gas and a few groceries, all the while spending only cash, we are beginning to sow a new harvest.  God as our leader, we will make it through this harvest season.  I hope it is a short one.  I will let you know.  Be warned, if you are sowing evil, it is what you will reap.  Quit now.  Don't sow evil, the harvest sucks.

Current mood: content
Category: Life

Ok, so my last two comments have been some fairly disturbing videos.  It would seem as though I have been a bit of a magnet to odd videos.  That is cool w/ me.  I like video comments.  These are disturbing, tho, I will admit.  However, I don't like denying comments, so i usually don't. Enjoy the videos. Don't take them seriously.  I don't. Oh, and enjoy. This is myspace. no, your space, our space.  It is the space we tread together.  No reason to get all worked up over nothing.  Ok, now i am rambling.  Do not forget to water your plants.
