Tampa, Florida (June 21, 2007) - PrivacyView Software, LLC the developer of award-winning Internet and computer privacy software, today announced the release of its Anonymous Proxy Server, Private Proxy.

Private Proxy is a 128-bit encrypted anonymous proxy that guards against Internet search engines, Internet Service Providers and IT Departments from tracking the Internet communications associated with your computer.

Private Proxy is a secure tunnel that routes all Internet communication to a secure anonymous proxy server.  This provides two benefits to the users:

  • Secure communication to an anonymous proxy that eliminates an Internet Service Provider, or an IT Department, from knowing what websites are visited and what data is exchanged between your browser and the sites you visit;

  • Secure browsing of websites without the sites being able to track back to your computer.

PrivacyView Software has long been known for its secure privacy software, PrivacyView.  Unlike most privacy software that deletes Internet history or cookies, PrivacyView enables users to hide and encrypt Internet traces on their computer.  With PrivacyView, users can bookmark favorite sites, download private movies and pictures, and even set a private home page for their later private surfing.  PrivacyView enables users to feel comfortable browsing the Internet with the knowledge that all web traces are hidden from others who have access to their computer.

Now with Private Proxy and PrivacyView, users get the best of both worlds, an anonymous proxy that protects their IP address and Internet communication's along with an anonymous surfing tool that enables them to keep all local browser traces and personal files safe and secure from others who have access to their computer.

Your privacy...is not as private as you think.
Current mood: worried

Top Tech News Article About Google

EETimes Article About Google

Those two links are from different websites, but about the same story by Privacy International.  Anyway, I will give you a brief synopsis of the situation:

Recently, Privacy International ranked all of the "big guns" of the web including EBay, Google, Wikipedia, etc.  While none of the websites ranked in the "green" (Privacy-friendly and privacy enhancing), a few came close (Wikipedia recieved the blue "Generally privacy-aware but in need of improvement).  Google, on the other hand, is the only one that was ranked black (Comprehensive consumer surveillance and entrenched hostility to privacy).

I must say it is pretty scary that the leading search engine is considered "hostile to privacy."  Everything is Googled.  If you need information, or are conducting research, you will usually end up on Google.  Google is basically synonymous with search engines at this point.

This is...craziness, frankly!  If this isn't a cue to start protecting your privacy, then I don't know what is!  None of these companies are in the "blue" rankings.  That means while they attempt to protect your privacy, in some cases, they actually do not.  You need to take Internet privacy and security into your own hands.

Up and running...
Current mood: excited
Category: Web, HTML, Tech

New site up and running...it looks awesome!

And introducing PrivacyView Software's newest addition...PrivateProxy

With Private Proxy, your IP Address will be hidden so your Internet Service Provider and the Internet Search Engines have no way of tracking your Internet browsing behavior, and building a profile of your surfing habits. You will be connecting to the Private Proxy server where your IP Address will now appear as the Private Proxy server's IP address. Your Internet Service Provider and the Internet Search Engines will be tracking the Private Proxy IP address but there are many others using this same IP address so the data will have no relevancy to you specifically.

With one simple mouse-click, you can turn Private Proxy on or off so you only use it when you need to. You will be given a username and password in order to access the anonymous proxy server so you can log in from any machine with Private Proxy installed. The Private Proxy server only keeps your records for 5 days to protect against spammers, hackers, and other threats. After that time your records are deleted – we don't need your information and neither should anyone else.

For added protection, Private Proxy allows you to select from multiple domain names to use while browsing the Internet. If you are using the Private Proxy at work, your IT Department may be monitoring your Internet surfing. By going to one of these generic domain names, it is less obvious to the IT Department what you are doing. There are also instances where your IT Department may block one of the Private Proxy domains. If this happens, you can select another domain name and keep on surfing in private.

In addition to hiding your IP Address, Private Proxy uses a secure 128 bit encryption to protect the data you are sending between your computer and the Private Proxy server. Only encyrpted data would appear, not any of your information, until it reaches your computer for your eyes only.

Hello there friends! A bit to get to know PrivacyView
Current mood: excited
Category: Web, HTML, Tech

Well hello everybody!

This is just a small introduction to PrivacyView Software.

We are a group of technical and marketing people who were tired of Corporate America. We decided to branch out and try something new and fun. And that is how PrivacyView was born.
Our headquarters is in Tampa, Florida and we are a privately held company. We founded the company in April 2003 and launched the first version of the product in June 2004.
Our philosophy is simple; create an easy to use product that protects our customers' computer and Internet privacy. Thus our users are very important to us. Excellent customer service is one of our highest priorities. If we are in front of our computer when we get an e-mail, you can bet that you will have a response within a couple of hours. We enjoy hearing from our users and how they are using the product. It helps us to make the product better for you.

PrivacyView software encrypts all the Internet files you download including images, movies, cookies, history and temp files. PrivacyView software maintains your privacy by not allowing other users to see these Internet files. PrivacyView software enables you to download any Internet file and store them based on folders and categories. Once stored within PrivacyView, you can search files, view pictures and launch movies. You can even import existing files already on your computer; PrivacyView software ensures your file protection by encrypting and hiding them from others who use your PC.

PrivacyView Software is working on some new products and a new release of PrivacyView, so expect to be hearing from us soon!
