Put it Out...

I've just uploaded a 1st mix of my new tune 'Put it Out'.

There's still a little bit of tweaking to be done to it, but I thought I'd give it an airing all the same.

Below, there's a brief explanation (of sorts) about the event that inspired it.

As with alot of my tunes including 'Son of a Hermit', it harks back to 1994 when I was suffering badly from panic attacks. I'd first got them when I was having a smoke & then just started getting them out of the blue when I was straight.
I had 6 months off work & was fucked for a while.
For a couple of years afterwards, I was convinced that if I was near to someone smoking weed, I'd end up having a panic attack.

I'm an Evertonian & when I was at a cup match against Bolton, there was these young lads about 2 rows in front having a smoke.
You should've seen their fuckin' faces when I asked them to put it out... The best excuse I could come up with was I was allergic to weed, the truth seemed too weird for a football match. They thought I was taking the piss...
They put them out though...Funny as fuck thinking back.

Anyway, we were 2 up (courtesy of local lad Stuart Barlow') but ended up getting beat 3-2 in extra time.

The joint's we're resparked as their 3rd went in (You couldn't blame them).       I tried to get out early but I must've looked edgy as fuck as the stewards got 2 police to interrogate me before they let me leave.

Happiness & Peace of Mind

I think this is possibly my favourite track of mine so far.

I'm well pleased about that as I've only just wrote it a few weeks ago as opposed to some of the others which I've had knocking about for a while.

I also love the fact that it was recorded with the help of some fine musicians & feel very lucky that they have given me their time.

The song is inspired by & dedicated to my 2 beautiful daughters, Leah & Lucy.

Below, I've listed who did what...

Lee Rogers -Lead vocal, backing vocals & 1st guitar

Dan Brownrigg - 2nd guitar, double bass, mandolin, harmonica & glockenspiel

John Snodden - Strings, piano & backing vocals

Mark Riley - Drums

Thanks also go out to Podge of 'The Castlehaze' as the lyrics to their excellent track 'Patience' were also an inspiration.

The Nebyudelic Sound System presents...Church of Nebyudelia Space Gospel Remix

Hear this...

I'd been partying too hard & started suffering from panic attacks.
As if that wasn't bad enough, I was also showing early symptoms of Hermitism.
& it wasn't going unnoticed by the missus.
So I wrote a little ditty to amuse me'self.
Some time later, I recorded it & released it to the masses via MySpace.

Fast forward to the present...

The Nebyudelic Sound System has reworked the track with epic results. Let him take you on a journey visiting eastern mysticism & tripping in psychedelia before arriving at your final destination, freaked out in funkery. What a joyous agoraphobic hymn...
