His Holiness Rocks!
Current mood: contemplative
Wow!
What an amazing day at Qwest Field! It was amazing to play in front of thousands of energetic folks and just a little disorientating to see yourself on a jumbo-tron! The Dalai Lama was insightful, humorous, and inspiring. He was immediately accessible and channelled tons of positive energy into the crowd. We, along with much of Seattle, are bowled over and thinking about how to put all of our goods thoughts and intentions into action.
Take care and be well!

We’ve got lots of shows in the Seattle area coming up in April and May, including the incredible Seeds of Compassion event at Qwest Field on April 12th, with the Dalai Lama!!! This is the coolest thing ever!!!
And for the latest RM press: http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/musicnightlife/2004297497_recessmonkey22.html

A Thankful Recess Monkey
Current mood: thankful
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!
We just want to say thanks to everyone who has supported us this past year! Whether picking up a CD, playing tunes on the radio, writing nice things, or saying hi at a show, folks have been awful kind and we truly appreciate it!
This week we felt like rolling out the red carpet in Monkeytown! We were honored to be part of the Fids and Kamily Top Ten family CDs (so many great artists being considered) and super jazzed that our t-shirt got a Parents Pick from the kind folks over at Hilltown Families!
There's lots more in store for 2008! Stay tuned, it will be "Goody Goody!"

Double Phew!
Jack has finished the first round of mixes for both cds [songs and narration]!
We're also teaching a Young Artist Workshop camp at the EMP [Experience Music Project]. It's made up of 30 super cool 5-8th graders who just formed into bands of 3 and 4 members. They start writing and rehearsing their own tunes tomorrow.
We should have some new tracks up soon. Be sure to friend our new characters!
Take care,
Drew

PHEW!
After a month of tracking, summer camping, overdubs, narrations and late nights, we are ready to mix Wonderstuff.
That job falls to Jack. He has the best ears of the bunch. No, really, they're nice ears! He's also our resident pro tools whiz. Good luck Jack!
We're equal parts exhausted and proud. Excited for everyone to hear it.
