We made some great new friends including the super awsome guys from the Madcowboys. Those guys kicked some ass, we hope to play with them sometime again soon.
Thanks Again to all those who came out and made it a memorable night.

INTERVIEW WITH DEADBOY PRODUCTIONS
Category: Music
Hey Folks Check out this interview Dan did with Dead Boy Productions.
Dead Boy Productions with Rehab For Quitters Rock band Rehab For Quitters performs live
Where is the band from and when did the band form?
We're From Toronto, Ontario, Canada. We came to be in late 2003 via an ad I posted online. We've had some lineup changes since then. How would you describe your music?
The best explanation I've heard about our sound would have to be, Rock n roll with a punk edge and a 1950's flare. Some people call us old school, some punk and some even psychobilly, but for me it's just Rock N Roll. I do take my influences when writing music out of a lot of 1950's acts like Buddy Holly, Dion and the Belmonts, etc. I like to keep things aggressive and melodic.
Tell me some more about your punk influences?
As far as punk bands go, I'm influenced by bands like Social Distortion, Black Flag, the Dead Boys, Gen X and of course the Ramones, Misfits, and even the Offspring. Where have you played and what bands have you played with?
We've played all over; You name it we've probably played it. We have some tours in the works for 2008 as well. Some of the most memorable bands we've shared a stage with would have to be The Misfits, the Dickies, Zeroscape, Trole but to name a few. We've played with countless local acts as well. My favorite shows are at the small bars packed with rowdy rockers. I love to share the stage with straight up punk bands like Hollywood Swank, They get the crowds nice and rowdy, by the time we hit the stage the crowd is nice and primed, makes for a fun show. What are your thoughts on downloading music?
I have no problem with people downloading our music. I think it's great when I get e-mails from kids in Germany and Japan, all over really, telling me about how much they dig the tunes and how we've got a special place in their iPods ha ha. I find that the same ones downloading our songs are the same ones paying to get into our shows and buying t-shirts and supporting us that way. How effective do you think MySpace is to your band?
MySpace Is incredibly important for our band. And I think most up and coming bands these days. Most business is done over MySpace now as far as tour planning, gig swapping even things like finding places to record or master our music. Finding band members, blah blah blah, The music business can be pretty hard at times, but I can't even imagine how hard it would be to move forward without this resource. Do you have any releases out? If so, where are fans able to get them? We have released 2 EPs. The first was called LEAVE EM WANTING MORE, and the second was called SAVE ROCK N ROLL!! We're completely sold out of both. I don't even have any copies for myself, if there's anyone reading this out there that wants to get rid of any of those original printed CDs please let me know. We will be releasing a full length album that we will be recording with Doc Sean at Voodoo Records. No set date yet, but definitely by summer. It will be available through Interpunk when it comes out, we haven't decided which other distribution company we will be dealing with yet. What bands from Canada besides Rehab for Quitters should we be checking out?
There is such a big scene here in Toronto. Most of it is good but there is a lot of bad noise out here too. The bands that really shine and are definitely worth a listen are bands like, The Creepshow, which really needs no mention, A band called Zeroscape, which fuses Reggae and metal in a very unique way. A rockabilly act called Trole is a must see, they always put on a great show. And if you're in the mood for an energetic beer swigging party night you gotta check out Hollywood Swank or Outbred Inlaws. Sometimes you'll have to sit through a couple really bad bands to get to the good one at any particular venue in a night, but it's usually worth it. Anything else you would like to add?
No I think we're good. Thanks for the interview.

New Line Up, Same Rock N Roll!!!
Current mood: aroused
Heeeeeeeey Folks, Dan here.
Unfortunately Scooters life schedule left no time at all for us to rehearse. And in pure Scooter fashion he let us know with gunuine dissapointment in his eyes that he just didn’t have the time needed to be a part of the band. I still love Scooter.
As luck would have it, I ran into a bass player from New Jersey who now lives in Toronto. We got drunk and laughed alot and we got along like old buddies while we stumbled through the streets. I asked if he wanted to play in the band. He hiccuped and said ok. So Ladies and Gentlemen, On Bass, I would like to Introduce. Formerly of the band Centsless/Crash Romeo, Richie Bones
Now as I am sure most of you already knew, if you have been to a show in the last year or so, Every second show has been with a different drummer. This was due to Matts Hectic schedule playing for psychobilly sensations the Creepshow. And who could blame him, The Creepshow kicks ass. Now Although Matt is still a big part of Rehab for Quitters and a very close and dear friend, he wont be playing with us any longer.
In his place we have a hard hitting hulk of a man, A man I have partied with on many occasions at the never ending parties at Swank manor. Ladies and Gentlemen, Formerly of Hollywood Swank, Dickey
We just had our first jam all together and it was stellar. So much Fun, So Much energy, So much rock n roll!!, In three short hours we went through the Rehab for quitters stage staples and worked on some new material. And for the most part, its as tight as its ever been. Can’t wait to hit that stage with these guys.

SOME COMMENTS DELETED
Hey Folks.
We had to delete many comments because of someone posting some html code that required people to enter their passwords when they visited our site. As a Result we have had to disable html in our comments to ensure this doesn't happen again. We don't want anyone supporting our band to have to deal with any kind of bullshit.
We apologize to any one who may have been affected by this minor event.

QUEEN ST BURNING
Current mood: bummed
We would like to express our deepest sympathies to all those affected by this mornings fire on Queen st. It was The worst Fire in Toronto since 1904, many people lost their homes, their businesses and their livelihood. Its the coolest part of the city and home to the coolest and most colorful people. Our thoughts are with all those whose lives have been impacted by this disaster.

LOOKING FOR A BASS PLAYER
Heeeeeeeeeeeeey,
Chris has decided to step down from Playing bass in the band to pursue his first love of the six string guitar. We wish him luck and we stand behind his descision. Before the rumours start flying, we want to point out that were all still great friends, there are absolutely no hard feelings on either end.
That being said the bass player position is now open. If you think you can fill the spot drop us a line or e-mail dlobalsamo@sympatico.ca
Fuck The World, SAVE ROCK N ROLL!!!

THANKS
Hey folks Dan here.
Just wanted to post a thank you to everyone who has sent us e-mails and comments with kind words about the band. You make it worth our while when you let us know how a song has helped you through a tough time or how much you dig it. Were all in this together, and your the reason we keep doing what were doing.
On the Band front weve been working on lots and lots of new material and were trying to get it out to you as fast as possible. Unfortunatley some financial problems have been keeping us from finnishing the long time comming e.p. but rest assured the ball is rolling and we'll have some rock n roll for everyone real soon.
Once again thank you all very very much and we cant wait to see you at our next show.
