PHILLY - HOLLER!

Hey everyone-

Thanks for coming out to the latest round of shows. Had an incredible time and am eternally grateful for your love and support.


After much, much demand, we've got TWO shows in Philly on May 24th and May 25th.


First is Jam on the River, May 24th, with the Flaming Lips, featuring the FULL RJD2 BAND. Word.


Second is a DJ-only gig on May 25th, at the Fillmore at TLA on South Street.


So all my Philly folks, show some brotherly love. It's a holiday weekend, you have no excuse.


Come out! Also, Europe, you're gonna get it this summer.

January Blues? Nah.

greetings ladies and gents.

hope you all had a good holiday season; youre probably now back to work. i'm back to work as well here in the studio recording, and have a few songs done that im really excited about. i dont want to say too much more about it, and i dont put myself under deadlines, but at some point im pretty sure i'll have a record done to share.

i will also be hitting the road in april, through the midwest and the west coast, and a few dates on the east coast in may (dates forthcoming right herrrre). in addition, the gods of television have blessed us with a plethora of upcoming shows-the wire and prison break are back on, and new episodes of lost are coming soon as well. im looking forward to enjoying many a cheeseburger in front of the tube this winter.

work it out video, alt. version up now

so here is a link to a side-by-side viewing of takes a and b for this video. im sure you can make out by now that this video was pretty demanding, as any flubs/unintended collisions/cars/buses/etc caused a take to be thrown out. we did end up with 2 full takes that we really liked, so have a look at both:

Instrumental version of The Third Hand out today

Here it is-enjoy! Keeping in tune with the soul posiition instrumental albums, and the "in rare form" compilation, I wanted to do an instrumental version of this record for the folks who like their beats more beaty and a little less sing-y; hope you like it.
