For 12 years we treasure the memory of the samurai, rock n' rollers,

Summer Sonic '06

It's that time of year again! Summer Sonic is back in Osaka for 2006 with another great lineup! The event is actually on the 12th & 13th of August, but we're getting the party started early on the night of the 11th! Then in the morning, the Rock Rock crew will be on hand for the festivities, manning our usual booth and the backstage bar. Make sure to come by and say "Hey!" Of course we'll be going straight from the event back to the bar for another all-nighter! See you there!

Udo Music Festival!

July 22, 23 Rock Rock set up at Izumi Oats for the Udo Music Festival.
KISS, Santana, Jeff Beck, Paul Rogers, Alice in Chains, Godsmack...
altogether about 30 bands. The festival was held on an open lot just
outside the city and because it rained everyday up until the event,
there was plenty of mud - perfect for a rock festival! Everyone was
setting up knee deep in a marsh of muck and silt.

On the first day the weather cleared up and things at the RockRock
booth were pretty busy. Personally, I didn't think I'd be able to see
Alice in Chains again so I was happy they were there!
No rest for the weary - after the festival it was straight back to
RockRock for a party until morning! Then after we shut down the shop
it was straight back to the grounds after only a couple hours of
sleep.

On the second day, it totally rained and we worked the whole day
covered in mud. But no one was letting the weather get them down - the
whole place was still going strong! We also had a spot in the catering
room which I had to work on the second day - so even though I was out
of the rain I didn't get to hear a single song. After the live, it was
back to the bar for another party until dawn! All in all, I think we
slept 10 whole hours in 3 days.

To all the hard workers and hard drinkers, Thanks to everyone for
their hard work!
It was great hooking up again with bands we haven't seen in a long
time and partying till dawn!
Let's do it again soon!

RockRock's next big outing will be next month (August) on the 12th and
13th for Summer Sonic (Osaka). Come by one of our booths and say
"Hey!"
