The new TV show starts tonight
Current mood: excited
Category: Life
Now THAT'S Weird the radio show has been airing now for two and a half years, and tonight is a landmark, because the Now THAT'S Weird TV show is about to begin!
Well the first four TV shows have now been recorded, and the first one (a special on UFO's) airs tonight at 8 p.m. on Edge Media Television (Sky Channel 211).
Next week's show is all about the mystery of 2012 and features Geoff Stray, Adrian Gilbert, Siobhan Peal and Andrew Smith.
Each show is a debate and chat show filmed in front of a live studio audience, with an update from the ATS forums by my wife Penny.
The first couple of shows were made as "pilots" and therefore have a very basic studio set, but the next set of shows, once we get a sponsor etc, will have a nice backdrop and a better dressed set lol!
I was pleased to be able to give first and second year media students at Strode College in Somerset, the opportunity to film the show and get their first CV credits for broadcast TV under the direction of their Media tutor Mell Turford.
So please spread the word and tell everyone you know that has an interest in strange phenomena, to tune in tonight (Sat July 5th) at 8 p.m.UK time to Sky Channel 211.
Feel free to copy and paste this to everyone you know!
Hope you like it!

The Glastonbury Festival - round-up
Current mood: tired
Category: Music
Well what a GREAT weekend we had at the Glastonbury Festival.....
Yet another sell-out event with some wonderful acts, and Glastonbury Festivals gave us a Press pass which allowed us access to all stages, backstage and the press pits, and they parked our caravan in the "Winnibago Park" behind the Pyramid Stage in the VIP hospitality area!
Penny and I were in the pit with the photographers at the front of stage for most of the sets, and will be posting some great pictures real soon. Poor old Penny was in there for the Amy Winehouse set, whilst I was backstage at the Acoustic Stage interviewing Glen Tilbrook from Squeeze!
I also got a great interview with Katie Melhua and her manager Mike Batt (I once recorded a couple of demo's for his daughter Sam whilst working at Gary Numan's Rock City Studios!) I also had a chat with the fabulous and ever-young WURZELS!
One of the best gigs over the weekend was that of reggae superstar Jimmy Cliff, who for me stole the show! Although other great performances came from Joan Armatrading, Glen Tilbrook and The Fluffers and Neil Diamond!
I will be doing a special show later in the week with a whole series of interviews and anecdotes from the festival - so keep an eye on the website at http://www.glastonburyradio.net for details of days/times of broadcast.
And don't forget - The Glastonbury Extravaganza is coming up soon featuring Squeeze, Lulu, Kate Nash and The Feeling and tickets are on sale now!

Guest needed for TV show tomorrow - please spread the word
Current mood: busy
Category: Life
I have had a guest withdraw from tomorrow's filming in Somerset and need a replacement who is knowledgeable on the 2012 prophecies and conspiracies.
I am filming two shows from 9.30 - 5 p.m. tomorrow in a TV studio in Somerset and the guest would need to be able to get here under his/her own steam.
Guests would need to be comfortable in front of cameras in a studio environment and a live studio audience.
If you are interested or know anyone who you think maybe, please e-mail ross@nowthatsweird.co.uk.
Please feel free to copy and circulate this to anyone you think may be interested.

We did it!
Current mood: happy
Category: Life
The first ever Now THAT'S Weird Conference was a great success and people leaving were shaking our hands saying things like "this was a landmark event" and the "best conference they had been to in years!"
Every speaker delivered brilliantly and there wasn't a bad or boring talk the whole weekend!!
The thing that made me sat and think, was that the evidence of people from so many different areas of research all seem to show a connection to the UFO, ghost, crop circle and 2012 phenomena!
It will now certainly become an annual event and I will be meeting my co-organisers over the next few weeks to see how we can make it even bigger and better next year!
DVD's of all the talks are now on sale by mail order, with box sets at £125, and individual talks at £10 + £1.50 postage and packing. E-mail ross@nowthatsweird.co.uk for more info.
Thanks to all of you who came down for the weekend (speakers and delegates) and for everyone that supported the event.

A very different live show tonight
Current mood: busy
Category: Life
As I type this I am about to go into one of the busiest weekends of my life lol!
The Now THAT'S Weird Conference starts tomorrow and tonight at the venue we will be broadcasting the radio show live whilst also being filmed for TV broadcast next month!
It's going to be quite a challenge doing radio and TV at the same time and explaining to both audiences what is going on!
Many of the conference speakers will be taking questions from myself and the audience tonight and you can tune in LIVE from 9 p.m. GMT + 1 HERE
There are still some tickets left for the conference and you will be able to get tickets on the door for the full wekend, individual days and even lecture by lecture.
The conference has the biggest and by far the best line-up in town this year despite what others may say - and this will be your only chance to see JJ Hurtak in the UK this year. We also have a real life well-documented "alien abductee" joining one of our speakers on stage!
So no more blogs until Monday at least - but have a great weekend!

Two days to the conference of the year!
Current mood: chipper
Category: Life
As I write this at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, I am just about to leave for Bristol Airport to pick up Paola Harris, one of the speakers at this weekend's Now THAT'S Weird Conference!
Profs JJ & Desiree Hurtak arrive in town later today too, so the buzz is beginning for what some people are calling "the biggest conference of the year", and with the line-up we have over the two days, there isn't a bigger one in town this year!
That said - ticket sales have been slow to start and although picking up now - it's been a worrying few weeks! It's always like that here in Glastonbury, very few conferences ever seem to sell out in advance, most sell in the last few days before the event!
If you're thinking of coming, find details of the incredible line-up HERE.
It's just two days away now as we do the live radio show from the venue Friday, which is also being recored for broadcast on EMTV (Sky channel 211) for broadcast in July.
Ah well, off to the airport!
