Permuted Press: Robots Beyond Cover Art Revealed!
Category: Writing and Poetry

go here (http://permutedpress.com/smf/index.php?topic=3118.0) to view the amazing cover art.

What the editor had to say about my story:

" "Surveillance," by R. Thomas Riley, is not your traditional cop story. It's a bleak, dark look into the soul of a robot who would be a man--and by reflection, into the soul of Man. You may not like what you see in the mirror."

No release date has been announced just yet. Stay tuned for details.

New Home Owner
Category: Life

Well, it's all finalized as of this morning. I'm officially a new home owner. Not sure how I feel about it just yet, but it'll sink in eventually, I'm sure.

AND this time, nobody walked out on me just before closing, that's a change, isn't it? :)

Huge news for Permuted’s Giant Creature Anthology!
Category: Writing and Poetry

My story, The Locusts Have a King, will be in this:

From the Editor, Ryan C. Thomas

Two big developments have occurred of late:

1. Marvel Comics artist Jeromy Cox will be painting the cover. His stuff is fantastic. You can see some of it here: http://www.roguecreations.com/jeromy_cox/artwork.html

2. Steve Alten, author of Meg, will be writing the Introduction. If you don't know him or his best-selling series about a giant prehistoric shark, visit his page here and be sure to pick up a copy of his latest political thriller, The Shell Game, while you're at it: http://www.stevealten.com/

Horror World Reviews Gratia Placenti...and they dug it, of course!
Category: Writing and Poetry

Full review can be found here: http://www.horrorworld.org/reviews.htm

About my story:

"...This run of truly exceptional short stories is continued with R. Thomas Riley's Only Spirits Cry, another lyrical and well written story, part childhood recollection and part adult going-home-again to face his dying mother. But the story, its setting, characters, underlying mythos, and message are all extremely and uniquely well done..."

About the anthology:

"....This bears repeating – Gratia Placenti is an exceptional anthology filled with good-to-great short stories by some highly gifted authors. It is an award caliber book, filled with many very entertaining good short stories, more than a few of which are certainly of award caliber themselves. Certainly one of 2007's best anthology titles, it receives my highest recommendation..."
