FetishCon 2008 Wrap-Up (pics)

I just got back from my annual trip to FetishCon in Tampa.  I was one of the guests of honor again this year and it was a great convention as always.  There were lots of familiar faces that I enjoyed catching up with and I also met some interesting new people too.

I arrived the day before the convention started so I'd have plenty of time to get my booth set up.  My booth had a few new additions since last year, with a larger than life photo backdrop and a new vacuum box device (more on this in a moment). 

I had been worried about my brand new "rubberdoll tattoo t-shirts" since they took a little longer than expected to produce and I wasn't sure they would make it in time.  But luckily, I changed the shipping address to the hotel and they arrived the day before the show opened.  And I'm glad they did since they proved to be very popular.  They came out great and the artwork by Gina King was incredible.

Thursday night was the cocktail party, which is always a nice way to get the weekend started.  There was a good turnout and it was a good chance to chat and enjoy a few drinks.  It also gave me an excuse to wear a brand new Maggie Delena dress that she custom made from a design idea I gave her.   I was thrilled with how it came out.

The show opened on Friday and was more crowded than I expected for a weekday.  My booth was quite busy and the time flew by.  I brought my wheel of pain along and it got a lot of action too.  The new addition this year was the vacuuum box, which is a large cube-shaped frame with a latex covering that you connect a vacuum to and create a suction that seals a person inside.  It's like a vac bed, but allows the person inside to be on all-fours.  People were very curious about  it, and several lucky ones won a trip inside throughout the weekend.

Friday night was the first official afterparty and it was held inside the hotel for the first time.  This was a nice change since it didn't require taking a cab or shuttle to a club off the premises.  And it also allowed for a more comfortable and laid back atmosphere.  The hotel's rooftop pool was open 24 hours, so as the party inside wound down, the action at the pool picked up.  It all made for a very enjoyable time.  I walked in Maggie's military theme fashion show at the party and then had fun hanging out afterwards.

Saturday was another great day at the convention floor with an active crowd and lots of entertainment.  There were some special events, like a superhero fetish show, and my booth kept me busy all day.  So busy that I was a little too tired for the Saturday night party and decided to have a relaxing evening in my room to recharge my batteries.

I was up early on Sunday and ready for the last day of the show.  The convention was only open until 3pm on Sunday, but I had a pleasant surprise at the end of the day.  A myspace friend named Jeff stopped by my booth to show me the giant tattoo he got of me on his leg.  I had chatted with him online before but this was the first time I had seen his tattoo in person.  It was really impressive and I'm happy he came to the convention to show me.  I signed below the tattoo and he then went and had my signature tattooed as well.  How cool is that?!

I didn't make it to the Sunday night party since I wanted to get on the road home.  Tropical Storm Fay was approaching and I wanted to make sure I was home before it arrived.  It turned out to be not much of a storm, but better safe than sorry.

Altogether it was a very nice convention and I'm already making plans for more kinky fun next year.  :)

Official Motley Crue Video Model (video clips)

I am happy to announce that I have been selected by heavy metal legends, Motley Crue, as the official video model for their "Saints of Los Angeles" tour.  The tour features massive video monitors that display a combination of live concert footage and pre-recorded material.  The Crue wanted something cutting-edge and sexy for the video presentation, so I was invited to provide my own brand of kinky fetish videos for the show.  I granted leading concert video designers, Daddy Van Productions, full access to my archive and they produced a series of awesome clips that compliment the songs.

When the show is performed live, the big screens cut back and forth between the clips and live shots of the band performing on-stage.  The result is almost like a music video that is custom made for that night's performance.  I have posted three of the clips that are currently being used on the tour for you to check out.  These are the actual videos that are being used on the tour.  As you will see, I pop up quite often in them.  Here they are:

The tour is currently storming across the U.S., with international dates coming up before the end of the year.   Then, word is that the Crue will be back in the States for more shows.  So, if they come to your city be sure to check out the show!

Amsterdam & Atlanta ( with pics)

July was a super busy month for me.  I started off with a trip to Amsterdam for an FAQ vs. RubberDoll show that was took place at the Boudoir Bizarre party.  Amsterdam is always one of my favorite places to perform, since anything goes, and this event was a lot of fun.  We did our show and also had fun hanging out with everyone.

I stayed in Amsterdam for an extra day to do some shopping.  I picked up a great outfit from Absolute Danny, and then it was back to Switzerland.  I had extended my trip a few extra days to do a band photoshoot, but that ended up not working out.  But, lucky for me, it allowed me to see Duran Duran in Zurich.  I've always loved their music but had never seen them live.  They were awesome and I had a great time at the show.

I flew back to Florida for about 2 days of rest and then I was on the road again.  This time, I was headed to Atlanta for the Kink Patrol party.  I have a lot of friends in Atlanta so its always a lot of fun to party there, and this time was no exception.  I did a performance (with some help from Dystroy) and had a great time hanging out afterwards.

All Access 2 Interview

I recently did a very in-depth interview for the "All Access" website.  You can read the interview by clicking here.

I will be featured as one of the cast members in the upcoming film "All Access 2", and the website is featuring interviews with me and the other cast members.  All Access 2 was produced by Martin Perreault and features a unique behind-the-scenes look at the Fetish Weekend 2007 event in Montreal.  It is shot in a documentary style, but also features plenty of latex eye candy.

The film will be premired at a special screening during Fetish Weekend 2008, and I'm already making my plans to attend.

So, make sure you check the film out when it is released in a few months.  In the meantime, read my interview.

Rome and Berlin Shows (pics)

I just got back home from a mini-tour of europe with FAQ vs. RubberDoll.  We had two shows lined up, the first in Rome and the second at the German Fetish Ball in Berlin.  It was a very busy trip, but I had a great time and enjoyed meeting lots of new people.

After arriving in Switzerland, I immediately had to get ready for the flight to Rome.  There was no time for rehearsal, but fortunately I've been doing the show with FAQ long enough to have it down pat.  Once we arrived in Rome, we hit Club Ritual and had a great show there.  The people were great and really knew how to party. 

I got to stay a few extra days in Rome which was nice since I had never visited there before.  So, I did plenty of sightseeing and got to check out the famous landmarks.  The only downside was that it was May Day, so all the shops were closed ... so no shopping spree for me.

After Rome, we flew back to Switzerland for a little rehearsal and to get our stuff ready for Berlin.  We traveled to Berlin by car which was another first for me.  I usually fly when I'm in Europe.  But it was cool since I got to check out the German Autobahn.  No Speed Limits!!!

Once in Berlin, I started three days of non-stop activity.  It began with a nice cocktail party on Friday night, which was a perfect atmosphere to chat with friends.  I didn't go to the afterparty though, since I had a photoshoot early the next morning.  The shoot was with Maxime Avet and we got some awesome shots (some samples are below).

After the shoot, I was off to the German Fetish Fair, which was an expo with lots of latex vendors.  I was scheduled to do a signing at the Dark Spy Magazine booth, where I got to sign copies of the latest issue (with me on the cover .. :)).  I was also finally able to do some latex shopping and I got some hot outfits from Fetish Universe and Inner Sanctum.

The shoot and the fetish fair had me wiped out, so I didn't make the Saturday night party.  But I got some much needed rest so I would be have all my energy for Sunday night's main event.  At that party, I was serving as the mistress of ceremonies, so I MC'd and introduced all the fasihon shows (which had some awesome clothes).  I also got help hand out the European Fetish Awards to the winners.  And finally, we closed out the evening with a high-energy FAQ vs. RubberDoll show. 

The German Fetish Ball weekend was tons of fun.  And before heading back to Switzerland, I got to visit the Berlin Zoo.  I really wanted to do that since that is the zoo where Knut the Polar Bear lives.  I am a big fan of Knut's and finally got to see him.  He's grown up quite a bit since he was born last year but he was still very cute (even though he was kind of dirty from rolling on the ground).

Now, I'm back home catching my breath before I start another round of events.  Next weekend is the Fetish Factory 13th Anniversary Weekend (don't miss my show at the Sunday night Xtreme Party ... it will be Xtra naughty!) and then the following weekend I will be in NYC at the Smack 12 Year Anniversary with an FAQ vs. RubberDoll show.

Night Magazine Cover and Article
