oh, canada...

As a completely last minute decision, I flew to Toronto not so long ago on the 18th, and so here I am until this saturday.  The flight and stuff was kind of weird.  I know Toronto has loads of ethnicities etc. etc. but my flight had nearly no white people on it.  There were little brown children asleep in the aisles.  That was weird.  I left all my music at home as I didn't know it was ok to bring them on flights now, but there was some light-hearted entertainment from the guy sat in the windowseat next to me, who huffed and puffed about everything like a right diva.  Once I got to Pearson airport I realised I'd forgotten my aunt's address, so ended up getting interrogated in customs with questions that were so thinly veiled it was almost pretty funny.

It's all a bit suburban hell where I am, very Wysteria Lane in appearance.  No foxy housewives though.  Met some cool people at the mall, but I must admit there seems to be mostly meatheads and barbies there.  Still, not the best place to meet interesting people I suppose.  Went to some random place and bought an amazing pair of old skool reebok pumps, in white, pink, sky blue and orange.  Ever since I was about 4 I've wanted pumps, and now I have some!  Looking at them actually makes me smile, which shoes have never done to me before.  Might try put a photo up sometime.

Anyways, now I gots to go and play mario kart with my 6 year old cousin.  He's a joker, full of random cool facts.  He told me if you run away from the police in Sri Lanka, they'll shoot you.  Wise words from one of his age.

...and then he got into a fight with a wasp. that apocrita bastard was asking for it though.
Current mood: dorky

It's been good to get back to Prague.  And just in time it seems, what with the palava of planes and bombs and stuff in London.  Not too sure if my flight back to London on saturday is still happening, but here's hoping.  I heard you have to check EVERYTHING in now, even little things like ipods and glass cases.  There are going to be way more annoying, pissed off children on airplanes now.  Still, I think it's reasonable enough given the reasons involved.

Last night I had the weirdest dream, and because I don't want to revise for my exam tomorrow, I'm going to tell you what that dream was.  I 'awoke' on a sunlounger beside a lovely blue open air swimming pool surrounded by bushes.  I then realised I had broken into someone's garden.  However, I must have planned this criminal act, as I was just wearing swimming shorts.  Orange ones I think (obviously Hasselhoff has a huge influence on my subconscious self).  Then this girl came out of the house and saw me, but ran away; oh the familiarity haha.  I went inside to see if she was alright, as you know, I don't like scaring people.  I found her hiding under a blanket in her bed, and I peered under it to ask her why she was scared.  She said "because I'm home-schooled".  I told her it was alright, because I don't mind home-schooled people.  Turned out she stayed at home because if someone touched her her skin would get all red and flaky like a rash or burn thing.  I did find that odd, even for a home-schooled kid.  But in the end it was alright, we just talked about stuff over popcorn and I made sure not to touch her when we both went for the bowl.  I liked her glasses, which were those hugehugehuge nhs type glasses in brown plastic.

I really have no idea how to read into that one.  Any ideas?

Other than that, I'm feeling like there's a huge world of promise right now.  Music, writing, going out, all that stuff.  Well up for it innit.  Looking forward to going out tomorrow night with Prague chums, and then possibly shopping in Manchester before a house party-white heat bonanza on tuesday with a fellow Prague-ish Londoner.  And then I'll probably have to work for that exam all over again.  Still working on the perfect hangover cure.  I think the only reason i persist is because as a vegetarian, fast food is never enough.

Oh yeah, the funniest thing I saw in a while was one of my flatmates actually pursuing a wasp, arms flapping in some form of primitive combat.  And he won!  With him, even if you don't pay for it, you get some entertainment.  Mentalist.

Back in London, for quite possibly a limited time only.
Current mood: relaxed

And so yes I am back 'home'.  Thing is my family moved house, so this place we live in now is a bit alien to me.  I'm still a bit foggy on where we keep stuff like jam and loo roll.  Luckily I can't think of a scenario where I'll need both those things at the same time, so I've managed to avoid being overwhelmed with frustration thus far.

However, it's comforting to know things don't change too much, like how retarded I can be.  I just realised today I've kind of been buying shoes a bit too big for me, all this time I could've gotten UK9 instead of 10.  I feel well stupid, but at the same time there's a small joy awaiting me when I get some shoes that fit properly.  Bemusing information like this is why I rarely end up writing blogs.  Whilst I'm in England I shall be frequenting:
V&A Museum
British Museum
Adventures In The Beetroot Field boat party thingy (the one on 30th june I'm thinking; Simian Mobile Disco, hooooooray)
Tate Modern
Sausage and Mash Cafe (the mighty S&M)
Covent Garden, Carnaby St., Camden, Oxford St. etc. for window shopping (and to pick up these beauties; I have an affinity for question marks http://www.officeholdings.co.uk/perl/go.pl/mens-style.html?webcode=71&style_uid=2766&color_uid=6477)
Afterskool (especially since it sounds like it won't be here for long)/Trash/White Heat/Panic and some bars i spose.
Your mum's bed.

Ok not the last one. We'll get a room somewhere.
Back to biochemistry revision for me now.  I'm hoping to find the perfect hangover cure along the way. x
