Darren has also stated in the VALLEYOFDRYBONES.tk forums, that the trio is actually busy writing new songs for a forthcoming cd... confirming that a new chapter in the band's history will finally see the light of the day.

I know many fans are still asking the reason why SADUS wasn't a part of the DESTRUCTION tour this winter. This is a statement Steve released in his official forum on Sept. 30th 2006:

"Two things I hate about this kind of thing.
First, when news from Blabbermouth gets posted as a thread on my forum having to do with my band.
Second, when news gets posted anywhere that isn't totally confirmed.

I appreciate the buzz it creates. But what if something goes wrong and this tour doesn't happen. Then I have to explain why and it seems like we pulled out when in fact it was never fully realized. And a little less important, but still worth mentioning: what about getting news from the source first? So now either way we have a sort of anti-climactic response coming soon regarding all of this. Hehehe... "

So please be always sure to connect with the band's official web presence to get the facts straight:

OUT FOR BLOOD review ONLINE

taken from http://www.metalact.com/recenzii/detalii_recenzie_en.php?id=37

1. Have you ever had the feeling of being sedated after playing one album? That's the exact way I feel when writing this review of the latest Sadus album, called Out of Blood. For the young readers, I have to add that Sadus is the main band of Steve DiGiorgio (ex-Death and other big monikers), a true legend in the thrash-death area. Although they have been playing since the mid-80's, Sadus hadn't offered us too many albums, it's enough to say that their last was Elements of Anger and no more no less than 9 years have passed since its release. After playing the albums in heavy rotation couple of times, I can tell that it is worth waiting for so long; as it is literally an album that weeps everything in the way. I still can't believe how great DiGiorgio's bass sounds on Out For Blood! It is a true bass-lesson taught at the highest level by one of most gifted men playing this instrument in the entire metal history. Its useless to say too much about this new Sadus as what can be heard is beyond words. Its unbelievable how an old band like Sadus managed to come back after 9 years with a so fresh album, modern and classical at the same time. The balance is the key-word describing perfectly the new songs of these Americans. There are heavy songs, slow songs, fast songs, the whole concept making you realize that everything has been planned to the smallest detail. The thrash and the death combine in a great way and the climax is the rhythm section, absolutely stunning for the beginning till the end. I am sure that this album will stay in my personal Top-3 this year, as it is very hard for anybody to come out with something better. Enjoy!

Author: Ciprian

2. If someone would wake me up in the middle of the night asking me to tell him my favorite bass-player, Id answer Steve DiGiorgio before even opening my eyes. For those less familiar with this genius instrumentalist, Ill try to list the albums he contributed to, without assuming I havent forgotten any of them. Of course, Ill keep Sadus out of this list, as it is the subject of this review and it would be useless. So heres the list: Death- Human, Individual Thought Patterns, Autopsy-Severed Survival, Fiend for Blood, Control Denied- The Fragile Art of Existence, Testament- The Gathering, First Strike Still Deadly, James Murphy- Feeding the Machine, Vintersorg- The Focusing Blur, Vision From The Spiral Generator, Quo Vadis- Defiant Imagination, Iced Earth- Horror Show and many more.
I had no idea that Sadus was ready to release a new album. In my mind Sadus was a thrash legend, one of the many childhood recollections I kept in a corner of my soul. I couldnt even say I have listened to Elements of Anger lately. And someday I get a message from the most thrash to the bone girl Ive ever met or heard of, Mrs. Mustaine: SUPPORT SADUS! OK, lets see what weve got here! And we had a link containing 2 fresh new songs: Out for Blood and Sick. WOW! WOW! Mamma mia, this 2006 Sadus fucking rules!
As the technical details have been already offered by Ciprian- balance, heavy-slow, great technique, death elements (maybe even Death elements)- what I have more to say is that this Sadus album is overwhelming for each and every fan of this style, that signore Steve DiGiorgio is creating pure art with that bass-guitar, that my favorite song is Cursed, that I dont have the lyrics yet so I have no idea what theyre dealing with, that Darren Travis vocals are better than any other time, that one of the most complex songs of the album, Crazy, has a heavy slow death rhythm above whom a fantastic duet- Darren Travis and Chuck Billy (!!!!! ) is superposed, that there are 11 good songs out of 11 songs, that it is a Mascot Records release. I should add that even though Sadus consider themselves an underground band, the big American thrash bands will be in serious trouble if theyll try to equal this Sadus masterpiece!
No doubt, 10/10 all the way!!!!!

Track list
1. In the name of
2. No more
3. Smackdown
4. Out for blood
5. Lost it all
6. Sick
7. Down
8. Freedom

OUT FOR BLOOD: witness the sickness, FEBRUARY 2006!

So here's to all of you loyal supporters,

SADUS is going to release its new album in the first weeks of February 2006 thru MASCOT RECORDS. The album will include an all exclusive bonus disc filled up with "a making of" video, several renditions of some legendary songs from the band's inspirators and some more stuff to come too. The album was recorded at the Trident Studios in California and is currently undergoing postproduction in the Netherlands.
The bloody artwork was once again handled by master of illusions Travis Smith, and Chuck Billy from TESTAMENT fame sung with Darren on a crazy song too... for your elusive pleasure only!
This fifth step into the SADUS progression will also lead the band to a new online home which will be hosted at www.sadus.us; Steve Di Giorgio released an official comment about the new course of things on his own website (read it here) and the band is expected to define details of a worldwide tour very soon.

We hope you enjoyed this big bunch of news, cuz SADUS is gonna kick your fucking asses once again... prepare for the bloodshed!!!

Yours truly,

Massimo 'CHAINSAWMAX' Usai
