Hooray It is finished!
At last I can do something else rather than obsessing over this - knowing that Dearest DS3 will spill something on it the moment he puts it on (see hoops pic below for his normal state of play)

I'm getting there!
Well i survived DS3's Birthday and party - and then we all had variations of the coldy stomachy thing :( ugh! So I am a bit slow at updating on here.. So here we go - I've even sewn the ends in at the back :) Only one more sleeve to go (the same as the other one)

Back finished
Well finished-ish as I have loads of swiss darning plus sewing in ends (a hideous amount!)

Started on one of the fronts last night and have done the bottom bit with the triangles - all whilst watching 'The two of us' - not the best musical accompaniment..

On a roll...
Current mood: artistic
Madly knitting this for DS3's Birthday next week - he was a little suspicious when he saw it as the only A and E trip he has had so far was as a result of one of my birch double pointed needles stuck in the palm of his hand - so knitting needles, swords, knives and guns are on a par as far as he is concerned ;) He seemed to think he would have to wear it with the needles still in it - bless! Anyway started it on New Years Eve and have chugged away ever since - it is a cardigan from a Zoe Mellor book called Colourful Knits. All in Rowan Cotton Dk and the yarn cost A FORTUNE! I daren't give up on it! Watch this space for updates.

This gnome has a home
my home to be exact. I am so behind on Christmas knitting that this little fella was only completed a few days ago - the same day i took the decs down! He will have to live in a discreet corner till next year - hopefully I'll have knitted a young lady for him by then ;) He is from a highly sought after Christmas supplement that was with the December issue of Simply Knitting last year - they have finally realised how popular it is and have republished it apparently. It has some cute knitted tree dec patterns in it too - one day.....maybe...

Hugs
Current mood: tired
Found this today and thought I'd post it: JUST A LITTLE HUG
A hug can say "I'll miss you," or, "I'll be thinking of you," It can say, "You're someone special," or, best of all "I love you," It can smoothe a hurt, or calm a fear, or cheer us when we're blue - It almost seems a miracle all the things a hug can do! When the sun is refusing to shine on your day and you're finding it hard just to cope, When you're seeing more rain clouds than stars in the sky and you just feel like giving up hope, That's the time when someone comes along with a smile and a warm hug that says, "It's okay, tomorrow is coming so don't give up now, brighter moments are soon on their way!"
