An unofficial guide to world peace
Current mood: awake
Category: Writing and Poetry
A person who turns a blind eye to the killed Might as well have removed the sword from its hilt
Might as well have helped cause that rose to wilt In the garden of loveliness we've built
Might as well have taken that stab and spilt another drop of blood in the rusting sea
Might as well have befouled that view of the sky with the wretched hue of the green of greed
When the selfless are made into selves and victimized and the guilty cease to be shunned and vilified
As unfortunate women take gasps and cry as the rights to their bodies are ignored and denied
We stand corrected on the terms we've agreed and signed and stay determined in our selfish goals to find
Another way to enslave, force and bind another generation to make and wind
Makeshift toys to dance on china plates and create giant speakers to reverberate
The same old messages of lust and hate Fishing for criminals, casting out bait
Filling more chum buckets and casting sail Never managing to catch sight of the white whale
Yet we keep blaming others, riding coattails Finding methods to muffle the sorrowful wails
Only time will tell if a leader is seen Who is wise at handling blades, and keen
Enough to not let the many memories fade and with these substantial lessons pave
A path to lead us from ignorance that blinds under the olive branch's shade to find
A valid reason to hold back vengeful fists Only then will we ascertain the meaning of bliss.

I’m free.
Current mood: peaceful
Category: Writing and Poetry
Free of all the vestiges vilifying the voids in my menagerie of a mind. Free of the burdens that bind and the coercions that blind.
The aching to be has ceased and yet the aching to cease, ceases to be.
Now vulnerable to the irony of mortality, I see a gaseous ball swing by daily to witness me diminish. Why fear the final act in the play of existence? We cringe every time the curtains close and the performance of light pauses, yet even stars die.

My Whimsical Cadence
Current mood: pleased
The Achilles' heel of adolescence Sought with congenial lyrics of chicanery Bearing false witness and testaments To fill abysmal corporate pockets
Masks of black chemicals Cloud authenticity's illusion Feeding the psyche of the proletariat With vocal vituperation
Waves upon waves of new hosts Withered by text messaging's toil Search for the spring of submission And find the black suit's banality.

Unyielding Revealing
Category: Writing and Poetry
A hero is just someone who has been on a lucky streak during the noticed interval, much like a worn plank of timber, rising momentarily to the surface, gleaming with the insignia of a long lost legendary ship.
And so fickle faiths are not such a hard concept to grasp- like ageless superstitions, they provide a miniscule foothold on the mountain of knowledge we thrive to climb in our lifetimes.
We all falter, we all give in to our inner demons, we even instill hope in false faiths.
Yet one thing never changes- our fundamental reliance on the self.
From this base, all attributes of a person gravitate in rings of varying lengths- the closest being the unseen, the furthest- tantamount to material things.
And so I say to you: keep your priorities in orbit!
Make sure your rings are discovered by wandering astronauts in the way YOU would want them to be.
I'm a perorating preacher barren of persuasion, a picaresque Pope devoid of a palace, a penurious priest fanning a conflagration, imbibing prodigous sips of Pandora's chalice.

Bolero Of Brutus
Current mood: hopeful
Riving at the purlieus In ever ebullient zest Sedition structured his onus Emblematic by his jest
Astounded by the aftermath Guilt-ridden, ostracized A mollified monstrosity Invests in praetorian eyes Northern lights irradiate Substantially illuminate The venal vagrant's path
Tides have turned, and still it seems he Yields dismally to fate's yoke Restrained from Good Will's courtesy A sapless sumpter provoked Nightly weeping vile volitions Now a peon of perdition Yabbering at his cage encloaked.

I Am Not
Current mood: restless
Category: Writing and Poetry
I am not a soldier I am not a saint I am not yet modernized I am not yet quaint
I am not a passing craze I am not a prophet I am not a businessman Seeking a large profit
I am just a writer Moved by warming words
I am just a poet Is that thought too absurd?
I am just a dreamer I write what my mind sees
Now I see an olive branch Swaying in the trees
Now I see a shining dove Flying over Greece
Now I see a homeland fostering world peace
Now I see a guiding force Orchestrating the unseen
But what do I truly know?
I am just a teen.

Foretold Fallacy
Current mood: productive
Category: Writing and Poetry
I knew that you'd find another symbiotic host
The guise of close friendship was too much to boastYour beauty was subtle, with no features too alarmingWhile I lacked all of the fundamentals of a classic Prince Charming You say that you've differentiated yourself from the mainstreamTalking about how you've led the life of a straight-edge prom queenClaiming to be adventurous, boisterous, and boldYet you recapitulate the horrorsand demonstrate what you're toldSpinning spoons of silver into shirts of shallow silkDeteriorating the gold into cups of curdled milkWhisking away the winds of free thoughtInitially you seemed to be a bit distraught, butNow I see that your insecurities are part of your composureYou morph yourself into many molds, amplifying your exposureDonning the mask that you had once condemnedRising to new social heights, you start to condescendTo the common social folk with which you had once mingledComplimenting your roof, reinforced as your shanty town's shinglesAt present they lie in dirt, enveloped in fabricTo end another cycle of a story so tragic.

Paradigm Shift
Current mood: exanimate
Category: Writing and Poetry
Don't sink too far into this tangible domain, with prophecies foretold of powers arcane, nuclear wastelands of sanity's Ukraine; for all hope is not lost.
The winds of change will blow once more, opportunity will knock upon your door, the euphoria will shake you to your core; for patience is well worth the cost.
You'll be mislead by bursting beams of silver pseudo-light, coerced to cry and purify by Madman's flawed insight, be perplexed and vexed to no distinction twixt the wrong and right;
but know that Logic will be there to navigate your plight.

Felicity's Phantom
Current mood: stressed
Category: Writing and Poetry
Bewildered you'll stand appalled at my form, for shattering the mirror; redefining the norm.
While in a fit of ecstasy you'll fail to reminisce of all the nights when something was amiss;
The simple songs I recited grew increasingly faint, as my goals became infected with motivational taint.
I'll acquire that paper seal I'll be "happily" employed at the cost of a childhood I could have enjoyed.
The cost of contentment has so suddenly increased as the value for free pleasures has all but deceased.
You can't sell sunshine for you're just a pawn who will cry for daylight at the crescendo of dawn.
As the decades defeat you, monopoly hat, your offspring will quickly beat you at the tragic game that you devised that led to your own youth's demise.
