Coming back home

Hello, everyone!

As I'm typing this I am 36,000 feet in the air. I'm coming back from my Spring Break trip to Florida. It was amazing and awesome to have a chance to kick back and unwind.
I went with my mom, dad, and friend, Gabi. I met this dolphin that actually comes up to the boats and smiles at the people. You can never make enough new friends. I think I'm somewhere over Texas now and then there's a layover in Vegas, so I'll probably be home in three hours or so. We had to put my best four-legged friend, Barkley, up in a kennel while we were gone. I hope he's made some friends. I can't wait to see him!
Last night, we went to a restaurant that had an open mic and I was a featured singer. It was a blast! I even got to do the electric slide with the locals and the person in charge gave me his shark tooth necklace!
The beaches were so warm, too! The pool was a dream. I'd recommend the Gulf to anyone and everyone.
There's this incredible shop that sells 50's and 60's nick knacks of all kinds. It was the coolest place. So, of course, being the massive Beatles fan that I am, I bought two lunch boxes, a Yellow Submarine notepad, and a funky little purse. There sure is nothing like the Beatles. What are your favorite songs of theirs? Just watched Hard Day's Night for the first time and loved it!
As soon as I set foot on familiar ground, I'm getting right to work on the new CD. I'm sooooo excited and I can't wait for you to hear it! It's definitely different from the last CD, but still me. I'm loving the new direction and most importantly, having fun.
I hope all is grand with you! It's so nice to finally have a thawing-out from the cold wintertime, eh? Stay well and thanks again for being so cool.

Hi everybody!

I've been getting a bunch of messages asking about the New Music Weekly Awards.
Thank you soooooo much to everyone who voted! You guys rock.

The awards show was a blast. I presented three awards, then sat back and enjoyed the show. There were tons of great artists, radio stations, music programmers, and music directors who won. There was a red carpet and an after-party and it was awesome to be around so many talented people.

I didn't win for Best New AC Artist, but I was honored to be nominated.

Thank you so much for all of your support.
I'll make sure to post some pics soon.

NEW SONGS, and PERFORMANCE, and NOMINATION - Oh my!

Hi everyone!
Yay! It's Friday!
Wow, it's been forever since I've written one of these. Already it's back to school (well, actually, in August for me)... Where did the summer go?
I'm sitting in the living room with my mom, dad, and dog, and there's the remains of a once- roaring fire in the fireplace. I'm ready for fall.

This Sunday I'll performing at The Feast of San Gennaro at 12:30 PM - a 15-20 minute set on the Jimmy Kimmel stage in Hollywood. I can't wait!

Vacation!

For a second, I thought I was almost home... weird... We still have a couple hundred miles to go. As we're driving over the scorched freeway (I say "scorched", because its 110 degrees), I thought I'd fill you in on my little summer adventure.
My family, neighbors, dog and I went to the lake for a long weekend. It was amazing. We rode seadoos, wakeboarded, tanned, swam, etc. It was incredible. I love summer.

Okay, I'm going to get back to eating my box of Everlasting Gobstoppers. Would you believe they only last about five minutes? Now that's false advertising... Haha

EXTRA! EXTRA! SING ALL ABOUT IT!

Why does it seem like all of my blogs come from the car? Ahh the freeway is my home... I'm coming back from the studio - just finished putting some "finishing touch" vocals on a new song.

The new "Popular Girl" single from Teen Witch the Musical is going to be ready to blast from speakers - car, ipod, and club alike.

Singin' the nite away!
Current mood: relaxed

Before the feeling drifts away - like notes escaping an instrument, I want to capture the nite - like sheet music penned and published. 
 
Tonight was pretty incredible. I'm in the car riding home from the Grand Patron Dinner for The Music Center. It was fantastic. For some reason, today feels like a Sunday, not a Monday. 
 
The other entertainment was incredible and the cause - honoring and supporting theatre - could not be any closer to my heart. 

I am so elated to have had the honor to sing and represent Center Theatre Group.  With the ridiculously amazing David O playing piano, I sang "What It Means to Be a Friend" from 13 and "Ordinary Miracles".

All of this, and the food was fantastic!

Nite Lite

There is a slight hold up at the airport, so it's blog time... As we "remain in our seats with our seatbelts securely fastened", I'm home. Its getting late here in Cali, and its three hours later in my head, but I'm drowsily relaxed and happy to be back.

Flying over Florida, I realized there are a lot of swamps. I have to say, Florida was pretty cool... Under the dim lights of the glow and through the tired voices explaining their day to their loved ones, the florescence pervading through the terminal in the distance is a welcoming beacon.

Today was EpCot day. We got to go to Norway, China, Germany, England, Morracco, and all within the confines of the "Happiest Place On Earth" ! It was quite happy.

The trip was fun and now it's nice to get back to reality. Some exciting promos for Teen Witch coming up, I can't wait!

So in the plane, on the track, at LAX, in lovely California, I'll close this blog...

When You Wish Apon A Tornado

I guess I can only play "PacMan: Sidekick Edition" on the phone for so long... The trip's been pretty exciting. We sang at the Disney Honor's Festival yesterday, and it went really well. The itinerary plan was to go to Epcot today, however, I'm laying on a rainbow bed in a Disney themed room with the weather channel on. Calm before the storm... Well, perhaps not... Its pouring and they report to me that there is a possibility of a tornado, although there is not a warning condition yet...
I'm pretty sure the plan is to go to the 5 floor archade and stay dry and have fun. Hey, maybe I'll play REAL PacMan! I had Micky Mouse waffles this morning and they have Micky soap, butter, shampoo, and more!
I'm going to perfect my PacMan skills and wait for news from our Choir Director and Assitant Principal. It may be stormy and wild, but I'm feeling sunny and fine...
