If you’ve got 42 cents just laying around...
Hey Gang, Just thought I'd try to give this whole thing one last push to see if we can get our frikkin' show back. I figure the one thing we haven't tried yet is letter writing. It's a lot harder to ignore than an email or a signature. HBO actually has to pay someone to sort all the mail, so at least you know your time spent helping this cause is noticed by someone. So, if you are so inclined, please send a cleanly-worded letter to HBO expressing your extreme disappointment in their decision making skills and express whole-heartedly everything you loved about Lucky Louie. I'm told that complaints that are ended with "and if you continue to disappoint me, I will be canceling my subscription to HBO" are taken more seriously, but who knows? Thanks again for all the support! You can send your letters to: HBO 1100 Avenue of the Americas New York, NY 10036 I'm gonna make this easier for anyone who wants it. Just copy and print this letter. Just make sure to type your own name at the end: To whom it may concern, PLEASE BRING BACK LUCKY LOUIE!! I have been a loyal cable viewer for many years and I have enjoyed being an HBO customer, but at this moment I am highly disappointed. Lucky Louie is one of the greatest television concepts ever conceived. Taking the standard sitcom formula and pushing aside all the sappy, politically correct, lowest-common-denominator "jokes" for more hard-edged, relevant and raunchy material performed by some of today's top comedians. I was very upset when the show was canceled. I have since bought the DVD of season 1 and shown it to countless friends. I don't think this show was given enough time to find its audience, but through DVD and HBO-on demand I'm sure you will find that interest in this show will have doubled or even tripled since it was taken off of the air. An online fan-base with nearly 7,000 members has organized at: http://www.myspace.com/saveluckylouie An online petition with over 21,000 signatures can be viewed at: http://www.petitiononline.com/louisck/petition.html Please reconsider the future of this fantastic show. Sincerely,
