A Little on the Lovable Side
Some men – they make you cry
Some men – plain color blind
But he's just a little on the lovable side
He's the one who's occupying my mind
There is no real reason – why I must let this grow
Fester and bloom –
Just building me another garden of doom
Sowing with care – some pointless tears
Such a bore
But a such a maddening affection
Never caught hold of me before
I can try – but what's the point - why hide
He's just a little different – dandy and assured
And a little on the lovable side
And what's to give and what's to lose
As long as I get to quit – and get to choose
The vibrant colors of my affection
The heady sense of loss of direction
Vamoose
He's not the kind you can lay your finger
And say – I want you
It's not easy - coming
But the thrill is in the moment
When he turns back around – saying
Good, I think I want you too!
Nervous rush – I know his love's all sold
Last winter he got a good price
I'm a little late though
But I think I've got my reasons – to fight the cold
I think I believe he's rather nice
I feel deprived – when he's busy – in a rush
Inside my cold bed – I'm thinking as such
About the day – he leaves –
Leaves me so empty and so cold
But still flashing the sign – his love's already sold
No rankling promises – he's no permanent fixture
But what's when I'm addicted to his hair's texture
Why hide?
Just a little cold – hot – self assured
Why hide – when love's still home
Until such time when we switch to being unknown
Why hide – can't deny
He's a little on the lovable side
