SEAN WRIGHT RELEASES 16TH ALBUM IN 16 MONTHS
Current mood: breezy
Category: Music

UNDERGROUND is my 16th album release in 16 months. It contains 12 brand new tracks which were written, recorded and produced by me, and released at the end of July 2008.

"Underground is my biggest challenge to date in the album-a-month project. I learned a whole new production package in the midst of the album. I feel liberated with the huge creative potential Digidesign and Protools have unleased. I've combined my trusted Boss BR-1200 digital recorder with Protools, too, with exciting results."

Sean Wright began his album-a-month project in April 2007, and so far hasn't stopped.

Listen to the whole album at Last FM for free. You can download the MP3s of the tracks for free, too.

LEGEND is Sean Wright 13th album in 13 months, making Wright one of the most prolific songwriters in the history of music.

LEGEND contains twelve new, original tracks. The album chronicles the month following the death of Wright's father.

"LEGEND is a painful and emotional album for me," Wright said. "The songs are the most personal I've written and recorded so far in the album-a-month project. LEGEND is a tribute to my dad and his noble and brave battle against cancer. He'll always be a legend to me."

MARK TINLEY TALKS ON SONICSTATE ABOUT SEAN WRIGHT
Current mood: relaxed

Podcast: Sonic TALK - 083 I've Got a Talkbox and I'm Gonna Use it

Ostend, Beamz,fairground technology, Garageband.com and more   24-Apr-08

SONIC TALK 083 I've just got back from Belgium where I had a short break, visiting the delights of Brugge and the rather unusually titled Plopsaland, a sort of gnome-styled theme park, where the kids had a real blast - I can recommend it.

I digress.... this week I'm joined by Noneric from Musotalk.de - the finest German language video podcast site, Dave Spiers of GForce Software, makers of fine software musical instruments, the reclusive Mark Tinley who's recently come out of hiding to work on Sean Wright's latest album, and Rich Hilton currently working on his chops for a gala performance with Chic, Slash, Patty Labelle and Micky Dolenz in New York.

After discussing the merits of Ostend we move on to the bizarre Beamz laser musical system, then talk boxes get some love - we missed them out last week due to time constraints, then a brief sojourn into music technology spotted at the fair (or carnival if you're US based), Garageband.com get some attention after last weeks Talking Heads topic, Mark's tinitus eq theory, a brief musical interlude from Marc JX8P and a JMJ acapella, then we're homeward bound with 25 top tips for musicians.

Remember... Do Call Us We've set up a Skype account for people to leave comments (which may be played on subsequent episodes) or requests to be considered for a part on the show. You can contact using the Skype handle 'sonictalk' or if you want to use the phone, our number in the US is:

SEAN WRIGHT DIGIVEGAS PODCAST INTERVIEW
Current mood: jedi
Category: Podcast

SEAN WRIGHT DIGIVEGAS PODCAST INTERVIEW An interview I did with Paulie at www.digivegas.com has gone live on show eight-six. I had a great timediscuss the album-a-month project and many other topics. Plus eight of my songs were played on the show too! Here's what Paulie had to say on his website link to the podcast.

Sean Wright is my guest for DigiVegas episode 086. Wright is a British novelist, songwriter, singer, guitarist, and record producer. He's been around for a very long time, cutting his first record in 1978.

Possibly the most prolific musician in such a short time in musical history. He began writing, recording, and releasing an album-a-month in April 2007. Think about it, 12 songs per album, times 12 albums, equals 144 songs written, arranged, recorded, produced and delivered in 1 year. That's an average of a song every 2 and a half days IF he doesn't take a day off.

Listen to Sean Wright's Digivegas interview.
