**If you are like me and know that you will probably be taking the slow boat out of here due to the weight of vinyl on your person and you would like to trade/buy/sell some of it with other people in Seoul this is the night to do it.
It’s not limited to DJ’s who want to trade vinyl, anyone can come and grab some music.
There will be a couple of listening stations set up or you can get one of the residents to play your tunes for you on the club sound system.
If you are coming and you have a portable record player: please bring it! :)
Cargo has had a mini makeover in recent days, so the addition of couches will make it a lot easier to chill and have the space to have this ’market’.

A night dedicated to the kind of selectively soulful grooves that one might find sprinkled through jazz, down-tempo, latin or bossa influenced lounge styles. Limited by nothing, Karen Jones comes with the release of her CD, accompanied by some of Seoul's blue-chip musicians. Lisette St.Louis opens for the band with all original material and Brenda takes the mic for some early night spoken wordisms.

Karen Jones BIO:
Who is Karen Jones? She is a being of infinite talents. She has been placed in so many musical categories it's hard to know which one truly defines her. Its no surprise that "Eclectic" is her Modus Operandi.
Indeed, as a powerhouse singer, Karen's vocal styles range from Jazz to Rock to Italian ballads. Like her singing, her musical compositions flow like ballads to a musical soundtrack or groove like an earthy Brazilian bossa or move you like a bouncin' Latin Jazz groove. There are no limits to her talents and abilities.
Childhood was rich with music for Karen Jones. Daughter of the most famous swing bassist of our time, Eddie Jones, Karen grew up in the Jazz world in Brooklyn, NY. Her father played with the Count Basie Orchestra for over 10 years. He also loved classical music and played with the Village Light Opera Group at the Fashion Institute of Technology in Manhattan. Karen absorbed it all.
Today Karen is internationally respected. She began her professional career in Europe – specifically Italy, where she created her career from the ground up. While Karen created a name for herself, she maintained an avid interest in spiritual research. This search would turn out to be the basis for lyrical and life choices she would make later on in her career.
Performing in piano bars in Rome, Karen launched her career. She eventually met all the right people and found herself performing in her first Jazz festival and participating on her first album. She toured that first summer with the famous Italian entertainer, Renzo Arbore, and sang in front of 100,000 people! Shortly after that she recorded a soundtrack for an international film, for which she also wrote the lyrics. Karen's recording career has since been blessed with over 50 dance singles and 4 albums. As Karen's vast array of performance venues has grown, so has her seasoned, unique sound. The ability to sing in other languages has also added to her vast repertoire, which of course has been developed over the years to tantalize her audiences throughout the world. Karen's professionalism follows her wherever she goes and her reputation precedes her.

Eden's last hurrah of 2007 has taken the cue to get dimensional. To start the eve off, a screening of Tim Burtons' "Nightmare Before Christmas -3D" will take place at 10pm.
Then spoken word poetess the dialectic will speak her words to beatz. For early comers: sushi and sake will be served while you enjoy the film.
Daoine Sidhe enters with her delicious Mandala Danannce performance in between sets.
Also: 2nd Hand store wil do a fashion show with all vintage Japanese clothing.
Eden's lady DJ's provide the beats with hip hop, downtempo, drum&bass, deep house, electro and a hint of disco.
Despite being busy little bees, the ladies of Eden, Seoul, SK, have apparently still found the time to address a rather important issue currently hitting the Seoul music scene: A Gender Crisis! Cocks in Frocks?! Birds with Beards?! "They're on it" said some random. However, it seems the problem now posing the Collective is that in trying to deal with this rather worrying state of affairs (MC Bride? Skirt Friction?) is that the ladies have apparently found themselves becoming a little seduced by it all...

Eden has been on seista for the past few months, but the ladies are back for a mid week gathering of beats and performance.
Inspired by the summer the theme is fans.
Allison will be performing a delicious fan dance at the strike of midnight.
At 10pm we will be showing a short film made by Lisette St.Louis: "FAN DEATH" (hilarious..if you know anything about the korean 'belief' of fan death you will find this rather amusing)
Food will be on the Eden house and supplied by the new mediterranean bistro :
