Courtesy of VAN RICHTER RECORDS we'll have copies of their debut album "TRANQUIL PLACES" to give away! i slip down
and submerge myself
into the dark pool
breathing in deep
i let the thick liquid pour into me
filling me completely
i breathe easy
breathe in these waters
i sink...

i let my breast cavity
be ripped open from me
swirling out in bleeding colors
a deep scarlet, a rose fuschia
escapes me
and mixes into the deep

her body sinks further down
her flesh further stretched from
her frame
i sliver out from the skin
and shimmer away
into the invisible

and she falls onto the ocean floor
sprawled out in a loving embrace
her body peels outward into the sands
and becomes the ocean
the sea life
the water
the dark pool
and the gift is made

heather the amazing tattoo artist and me. the beauty of this photo is that you can see the drawing hanging on the wall between us in the photo... ahh.. the becoming!



and here it is! She's a Beauty!

The Meaning of the Tattoo
The tattoo is of a Treble Clef shape found in the body of a two headed sea-serpent dragon. The creature is depicted as coming out of it's shell. This is significant of the magickal place of it's origins. The two headed sea-serpent dragon creature is symbolic also of my Astrological Sun sign which is Gemini. The shell resembles the Amonite Fossil which is also symbolic of the Golden Means Spiral. The creature is placed within the deity rune named, INGWAZ. He is known as the phallic God who is full of "seed". He is the one who brings manifestations. He is a Sun Deity which goes along with my sun sign of the twins. This is symbol is also used magickaly as a 'doorway'.

The Ingwaz symbol is also marked by North and South points as well as balanced by the two phases of Crescent Moon in both waxing and waning phases on each side - East/West of the futhark frame. The blues and greens of the sea-branch and filigree artwork is representative of the Elements Water and Air. The Red in the triangle celtic knots framing the moons is representative of the fiery life force of the sun that the moon reflects is light from. The combination is the result of passion and emotion in the creative aspects.

In all the tattoo represents my relationship to my vocal expression with the magick of music.


NOTE:
of course this is just the first layer of completion. I'll have a touch up session in a couple months and as time goes on we may work on depth of colour and dimension. All in all the tattoo was done in just over 4 hours. Nice work Heather!!!

these past few weeks are a blur of rushing.. fun times. days in the sun. a little boy named Sky who brightens my everyday. his stories of fun parks and swimming at summer camp. my days of work drama. employees coming. going. hired. quitting. training. my staff that will miss me. and I am like a mother bird afraid of leaving her little flock of chics concerned that thier wings are not ready yet to fly on their own. yet the time has come when i must take flight from here. tomorrow is my last day. other times include wonderful dinners with friends. universal city walk and the movies. walking on the sandy beach of venice. enjoying the drum circle. embracing my best friend. afternoons exploring places like the science center. nights at the bodhi tree. espresso at indie coffee. shopping. mad rush evenings recording the myriad form. laughing with bandmates. staring into the eyes of the sweetest babygirl. daydreams and best wishes to a baby boy in the womb. excited for a dear couple about to turn into a family. marveling at the friendship of an 8yr old and the love of my life. plans for bats day. practicing cylab. celebrating the perfection of percy's mad musical compositions. feeling very lucky and very honoured for the family, the bands, the friends I have. stealing glances at my fiance in this mad rush of days and seeing forever in him.
I'm looking at things longer than usual. I'm taking in this place of angels or is it lost angels called los angeles... and seeing the beauty, the fabulousness, the history, the future, the now of this place i normally curse but will soon be far from.
I know I will miss it and the friends that have grown so close and dear.
my heart is ripping. breaking. expanding.
in love with life.
I am alive.
