I'm still not convinced the earth is round... Buda... how many soul mates can one person have if its all the same soul? ohhhhhhh yeahhhh.... what's it like being an internet star? I don't know. A woman simply is, but a man must become." - Camille Paglia
Squeeze every drop
Have the courage to dream great dreams. You're worthy of greatness. You're capable of greatness. The priceless treasure that is your life positively obligates you to make something grand out of its moments, its days, its years.
When you focus on just getting by, that's the most you'll be able to do. Yet when you set your sights higher, when you dare to dream big dreams, when you make the effort to make a difference, those same moments you would have spent just getting by will bring you, and your world, so much more.
Once this day is over, you cannot go back and reclaim it. What a waste it would be if you failed to squeeze every last drop of living and joy and love and achievement from it. If your aim is to just get through the day, if your goal is to just get by, aim higher. You're spending the moments, so make them really count. Start right now to live the greatness you were born to live.
I'm not sure if some of you have been seeing "friend requests" from the same blonde chick with the same fake smile with the name "amber, julie, jessica, alisha, etc" but seriously, leave me alone. I'm getting pretty tired of the friend request software trying to add me to make your numbers look good.
So unless you happen to be Alicia Keys, Beyonce, Mariah Carey or a combination of these three women with a red cape that has SP on the back of it, leave me the fk alone before I have to call Luca;-)
8:09 AM - My short and sweet music bio

Heeyyy... if you happen to be reading this, you are reading the first "bio" for the musical fiend, Aja Zinner, acoustic singer / songwriter and founder of Dutch Records. The music I write is harmoniusly interesting and rhythmically aggressive while my melodies tend to follow the styles of my favorite singers (Wonder, MJ, Prince, Marley, McLaughlin).
Usually, I'm up every day at 4:20AM next to my pzzy (kat) to get to work at Dutch Records seeking out new avenues to get my music heard, shooting video, meeting fans online or seeking out new artists that I would like to work. I take a siesta about 3PM and get back to work being "Aja" the pro$titute performing in the evenings.
Some of my past...
awards: Sam Goody Best Unsigned Band in America - been there, done that (1st place winner).
performances with national acts: Blink 182 were pretty cool to open for and that short gig that was rained out at the Kennedy Center wasn't bad.
memorable gigs: three years learning the ins and outs of record labels working at the RIAA (don't worry, you can download my music from azureus, bittorrent or limewire).
In the future, you can expect to see me working my fan base as I put together a group and contemplate new releases from artists that I think you should know about.
For contact or to hear some demo's, check out my home page at www.dutchrecords.com

Jardin d'Hiver (Keren Ann Zeidel & Benjamin Biolay)

THE DONKEY
One day a farmer's donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do. Finally, he decided the animal was old, and the well needed to be covered up anyway; it just wasn't worth it to retrieve the donkey.
He invited all his neighbors to come over and help him. They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly. Then, to everyone's amazement he quieted down.
A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well. He was astonished at what he saw. With each shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something amazing. He would shake it off and take a step up.
As the farmer's neighbors continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it off and take a step up. Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and happily trotted off! Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt. The trick to getting out of the well is to shake it off and take a step up. Each of our troubles is a steppingstone. We can get out of the deepest wells just by not stopping, never giving up! Shake it off and take a step up.
Remember the five simple rules to be happy:
1. Free your heart from hatred - Forgive. 2. Free your mind from worries - Most never happen. 3. Live simply and appreciate what you have. 4. Give more. 5. Expect less
NOW --------
Enough of that crap . . .
The donkey later came back, and bit the shit out of the farmer who had tried to bury him. The gash from the bite got infected, and the farmer eventually died in agony from septic shock.
MORAL FROM TODAY'S LESSON:
When you do something wrong, and try to cover your ass, it always comes back to bite you.
