You know how sometimes people on your friend's list post about stuff going on in their life, and all of a sudden you think "Wait a minute? Since when are they working THERE? Since when are they dating HIM/HER? since when???" And then you wonder how you could have missed all that seemingly pretty standard information, but somehow you feel too ashamed to ask for clarification because it seems like info you *should* already know? It happens to all of us sometimes.

4. Occupation: In the fall I will primarily be a student, but this summer I am working at Water Country USA and might be doing some sound engineering work too!

5. Partner?: none at the moment;

6. Kids: none yet.

7. Brothers/Sisters: I have 3 sisters- Nicki, Laurie, and Michelle; Laurie graduated from Law School recently (yay!); Nicki is coming back to the East Coast to go to Grad. School at Duke University and Michelle will be going to Mary Baldwin.

8. Pets: One dog- Buster, an Australian Shepard

9. List the 3-5 biggest things going on in your life: Find at least 3? wow.. that might be hard- well, here goes- I'm getting ready to go to school at VCU and working this summer towards that goal. I'm also looking forward to working with some more musicians sometime!

10) Where and for what did you go to school?: I am going to VCU for International Studies with an area focus on Western Europe (or maybe Eastern Europe) with a minor in math. (I plan to study German as my language)

11) Parents? Yes, they are divorced now. Both still live in Yorktown for the moment, but my dad's looking at moving either to Suffolk or Williamsburg- he's a student at William & Mary now for his Ph. D.


12) Who are some of your closest friends?: I've been struggling with this question- I thnk because I really have lots of good friends, but I don't know which friends I would chose as my closests. I could pick out some groomsmen (if i was to get married right now); but, like, I'm not sure who I would call first if I were to get engaged tomorrow. Hmmm.

Debriefing, Homecoming and new Joy in my life! :)

So, 2 weeks ago was debriefing week- a week for the ministry team I was on to discuss high's and low's. After that, we had one big Homecoming celebration! So now my time with Watermark is over. I had a great year with them! Touring Denmark was amazing (great country to visit).

In Joyful news- Yes, I am dating the most incredible woman I have ever met! :) Her name is Bria, and she was on Captive Free Gulf Coast 2005-06 (for all those YE Alumni out there).

I had a great week off with Michelle and my dad. We visited North and South Dakota! :)

This past week I helped out in the Sound Repair Department at Youth Encounter and will be on the National Training Music Staff this month! *Yeah! Captive Free Luther Dell!*

But for now, I am going to get to the shower- my teammate is getting MARRIED! I will be standing in her wedding- so its time for me to put on a Tux! :)

Hey ya'll.. so the organization I work for (Youth Encounter) is looking for a drummer with a passport and a love for Jesus for one of their music ministry teams!

Youth Encounter's International Teams are music ministry teams that present programs about the gospel of Jesus Christ using word-witness, music, puppet shows and drama. Each International Team will have many opportunities to listen, learn and share while visiting homes, schools, churches, orphanages, hospitals, nursing homes and youth conferences. Youth Encounter plans overseas visits at the invitation of national churches and mission organizations. Since 1964, Youth Encounter has sent young adults to over 40 countries. The team they need a drummer for is Watermark- a team to Denmark!

Watermark is an International Team sponsored by Youth Encounter. This group of young adults ministers throughout the United States and Denmark for one year with a faith-encouraging program of music, testimonies, drama and puppetry to inspire people of all ages!

This really is an amazing year, and I would like to encourage all my drummer friends to consider it.. pray about it.. etc!

counting down the days- where did all the time go?

The days are counting down

in 26 days will be Homecoming where did the year go? man! already!

then a week off, and then new teamers- wild- this will be my first year working at training- which starts 8 days after homecoming..

and then,

its 40 days until Reese & Kelly get married!

so in 2 weeks time, i will be able to see all of my teammates (except for Anthony).. saying good by to my Watermark team, and celebrating with my East Lakes team.. wow.. that's going to be intense! :)
