So you've had your fill of Turkey dinner and need a way to work off those excess calories? Family drama driving you nuts and need to get away? Come see the drama of All-Star Championship Wrestling at the "home of ACW", the Watering Hole in Howard, WI on Dec. 6, with a bell time of 8PM.
Season's Beatings, the last show of the year for ACW, has always been their biggest card of the year (ACW's answer to Starrcade!), and they always pull out all the stops. If you recall, the previous year, some members of the family came back home to ACW and it was a huge success. For those with faulty memories, we have added the video promo for Season's Beatings 2007. Video courtesy of All-Star Championship Wrestling.
For 2008, ACW knows they have to top everything else they have done this year (which has been quite a lot!), so Season's Beatings 2008 has to be a BIG card. Who better to be the special guest star for a BIG card than the ACW debut of former WWF and WCW World Heavyweight Champion & current TNA superstar "Big Sexy" Kevin Nash!
Not only will "Big sexy" be in action (against none other than NWA Wisconsin Heavyweight Champion Mason Quinn), but you can also get a chance to meet "Big Sexy" during a special one hour meet-and-greet before the show (catered by Subway of Denmark), and also a special VIP 8x10 picture to get signed at the meet and greet.
These VIP tickets are only $25! This includes a front row ticket to the show, and admission to the pre-show meet and greet with Kevin Nash.
The entire action packed Season's Beatings show includes:
"Big Sexy" Kevin Nash vs NWA:WI Heavyweight Champion Mason Quinn
Nash has faced some of the best competition in the world, and now he faces NWA Wisconsin Champion Mason Quinn. Nash, The Silver-Haired Fox, is always a dangerous compeititor, but Quinn isn't exactly a slouch himself, and has certainly proven his worth in big matches, having battled back ACW Champion Nick Colucci in title vs. title matches on three separate occasions. Quinn has had the luxury of seeing tapes of all of Nash's matches, but has Nash scouted Quinn, or will he take him lightly?
ACW Tag Team Title Match: "Cookie Cutter" Chris Gambino & Mase Morgan (C) vs "Smokin'" Don Gotti & Jerry Styles vs Justin Dredd & Jared Johnsonville
As you may recall, after the controversial ACW Tag Team championship tournament finals, where The Dream Police retained their belts, but no team won more than one match in their bracket, ACW Commissioner The Thrill put up the ACW Tag Team Championship in a special tournament where each team would participate in a sort of Triple Threat Tag Team match, where any member of a team may tag any other team member. The first wrestler to gain the pinfall would be one-half of the Tag Team Champions, and the second wrestler to score the pinfall would be the first wrestler's Championship partner. After ACW's Hot Blooded last month, "Cookie Cutter" Chris Gambino ended up as one half of the Champions, with his partner being Urban Assault Team member Mase Morgan. Now, the teams battle it out again. Can the Champs survive, or will the makeshift teams implode under the pressure?
J-Ca$h vs Mickey McCoy
Ca$h is not happy about how his bad knee was attacked mercilessly by McCoy after the Triple Threat Match at Hot Blooded, and realised his mistake was trying to take on both Brandon Haze and McCoy at one time. Now, Ca$h will take on the Fighting Irishman in singles competition, but you know Ca$h will have one eye on the back, since there is no doubt in his mind that McCoy doesn't come to the ring alone.
Dysfunction vs Brandon Haze
This should be an interesting styles (not Stylz!) clash between "Dys" and Haze. While Brandon Haze has shown his ability to wrestle a "big man" match (as has Dys!), there is an x-factor on whether or not Haze can take to the air as Dysfucntion can. Dysfunction also has a willingness to put his body on the line, as he showed at Hot Blooded last month when he took on ACW Champion "Cadillac" Nick Colucci. Although Haze did battle the demonic Sam Hayne, it's unknown if he can take the kind of punishment that Dysfunction likes to inflict.
Douglas "Do Right" Peterson vs Shane Hills
Last month at Hot Blooded (see what you miss when you're not there??), Shane Hills dominated the "Nicest Guy In ACW" Douglas Do-Right Peterson when they met. Hills already broke the arm of Peterson previously, and Peterson got lucky that Hills didn't feel like breaking any more bones. SFP, Inc. had a chance to get an exclusive interview with Hills, and it was very clear in the brief moment we got of Hills' time that he was NOT in a good mood. Peterson is always pleasant and an all-around positive guy, and we can certainly understand and even admire his determination. In an exclusive segment filmed exclusively for NWA Wisconsin Home Video, Peterson commented that Hills may have broken his arm, but that he would never break his spirit. On the NWA Wisconsin message boards (located at nwawisconsin.com/boards), Pterson commented that he is not going to back down and not going to give up, and that he does not care how many bones Hills breaks. Maybe it's just us, but Hills is the kind of guy who just MAY break all your bones.
Snakes on a Train vs Sharp Dressed Men
The Playas In Pink, err...The "Sharp Dressed Men", Bobby V (who is reputed to have some "issues" involving homosexual tendencies) and Diamond Dave Demone will battle "Snake Eyez" Jason Reiley and his partner, "K-Train" Kody Rice. This team harkens back to some of the greatest tag teams in the history of the sport. Rice is stocky and powerful, and Reiley is slim and quick. An excellent combination, with the two learning from each other. Snake-Eyez teaches the bigger Rice how to be quick on his feet and even take to the ropes, while Rice teaches "Snake Eyez" to make the most of his strength.
The Sharp Dressed Men (and manager Weasel) seem to believe they are some sort of international fashion icons as opposed to wrestlers. However, don't let their looks and tactics fool you. They're a lot tougher than they look at first glance, and with Weasel in their corner, that makes them ultra sneaky, since he's not called "Weasel" because of his firm belief in abiding by the rules. This match is almost three on two.
Also appearing at Season's Beatings, ACW Heavyweight Champion "Cadillac" Nick Colucci, ACW X-Division Champion Chase McCoy, Tejas, Thomas Walton III, and more!!!
Ticket Prices are: $25 for the VIP front row ticket, $15 for regular front row and $10 for general admission.
Reserve your advanced tickets by emailing Josh.Weimer@hotmail.com with "Tickets" in the subject line.
Don't miss this huge night of action and the rare opportunity to meet and see "Big Sexy" Kevin Nash in action when All-Star Championship Wrestling returns "home" to The Watering Hole, Saturday December 6th for Season's Beatings 2008.

Since you are backyard wrestlers, and thus likely unable to read, we will attempt to say again what we have previously composed in one-syllable words, so that you might better understand.
Professional wrestling is just that: professional. No untrained person should ever attempt to emulate what they see on television or arenas. We do not affiliate with backyard wrestlers under any circumstance, and encourage them to seek out a qualified school of professional wrestling to receive appropriate training.

We post things like that in our profile so that uneducated and ignorant individuals such as yourself may know in advance that we are in no way supportive of children who think they are somehow "extreme" by diving from rooftops in an attempt to impress their similarly brainless friends.
However, your "extreme", "hardcore" ignorance did make our blog. -- Shadow Fire Promotions, Inc. There is nothing "fellow" about you, for starters.
Second, as it again clearly states, we reserve the right to publicly humiliate you if you have difficulties reading.
Third, you are not a wrestler, nor a wrestling promoter. You are a child (as indicated by the original e-mail showing your clear inability to properly spell) who is unable to properly learn how to be involved in this sport, so you pretend to be involved by rolling around in your backyard.
Mud wrestlers have more in common with us than you. -- Shadow Fire Promotions, Inc. Subject: sponsors
We're intrigued. What does a bunch of children rolling around in their backyard need a sponsor for? Do your parents have you renting their backyard?

HULK HOGAN’S CELEBRITY CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING, PART DEUX
Category: Movies, TV, Celebrities
So at the end of Hulk Hogan's Celebrity Championship Wrestling, the winner gets a belt?? That's it?? A stinkin' belt?? No mention of a prize, just the "prestigious" (why is it so prestigious??) CCW Championship Belt? Hell, there are at LEAST three places you could get a belt made for you, and not have to get your @$$ beat for 6 weeks, or whatever the length of time is. Besides the fact that long time wrestling fans will recognise the belt as one of the old WWF 1980s tag team title style, and not an original design Hogan could have paid someone to make, really, you go through all of the training to get a belt? Is it just us, or is this somehow not worth it?
It's the equivalent of paying your $3000 (or more) to train as a wrestler, and then never set foot in the ring again (and yes, many people do that. It's usually because you have to pay the majority of it up front, and if you miss one payment, you're gone. It's a cute way for sleazy promoters to make some money, gambling on the fact that you likely won't pay off the entire thing before they can get you to quit.)
In any case, for those still watching (it's definitely a train wreck, and thank goodness Hogan doesn't book for any real wrestling promotions. He may have been a friend of Hogan's, but if Curt Hennig were still alive, the Mr. Not So Perfect gimmick Hogan has given to Todd Bridges would kill him.). Another note on the "personas", is it just us, or are these more random nicknames, and not really any sort of "character" or "persona"? With most wrestlers, (to include the independents) if you ask them what their character is supposed to be, they should be able to give you some sort of detail as to what they're about. However, for most of these "personas", they're just names. There's not really any "character" or "persona" (not to mention character development) given to any of these people. It's a sad world when Trishelle has the most character developement. The rest just seem to be dressing up. Danny Bonaduce IS his character.
Yes, it's a train wreck, and probably not worth the 45 minutes of your life you spend each week watching (if you still do), but every week, they talk about how "prestigious" this title is (without explaining WHY it is so prestigious), but we can't help but think that there must be a better way to get a title belt than that... -- Shadow Fire Promotions, Inc. As of last night, Brock Lesnar captured the UFC World Heavyweight Championship from Randy Couture in his fourth MMA fight.
Now, there is an even bigger hurdle for Lesnar to face.
Randy Couture has been in the sport a long time, and has faced a wide variety of people. Lesnar has had 4 fights thus far. Now, Lesnar's new challenge will be to defend his newly captured belt and prove himself worthy of the title. Certainly, first in line would be Couture, in a rematch, which will undoubtedly draw large numbers on PPV.
Lesnar is going to have to prove himself as either a fluke, or that he truly is "The Next Big Thing".
Will Lesnar prove himself to be worthy of the nickname, or is he simply a transitional Champion? -- Shadow Fire Promotions, Inc. So sports-entertainment is dead. Now the proper term is "entertainment". Aside from the fact that ALL sports are entertainment, making the name kind of redundant, we will paraphrase a publication that stated that you wouldn't see actors in a medical drama calling each other an "actor" so they don't get treated like a real hospital.
The idea is supposedly that Vince McMahon wants to further avoid any possible regulation (such as the one we mentioned in GA a while back), but such an arbitrary thing as how you address your contracted talent on the air will have no bearing on how McMahon's company is or is not regulated.
In our opinion, not only will this continue to drive away fans, but it just may drive them to the UFC. -- Shadow Fire Promotions, Inc.
