1. I obsessively check my checking account balance, many times a day. There is almost not one minute that I don't know how much money I have.

2. I really enjoyed the movie Twister (and I think Bill Paxton is sort of sexy)

3. I walk over ten thousand steps a day. How do I know? I wear a pedometer.

4. If asked I would marry Eddie Izzard.

5. I can tell if a coin is Canadian by the way it sounds when it hits a surface.

Kissing In The New Year

The break down of my kissing options to ring in the New Year.

1. women..........I didn't drink enough for this to be a viable option

2. 18 year old married man/boy.........I don't do married

3. 21 year old baby daddy..........close enough to being married, again I don't do married

4. late arriving male.......................not sexy at all, and he was making goo goo eyes at the dog

Needless to say I did not get kissed (my party plans changed at the last minute).

Maybe next year?

My future with Zach

With fingers crossed and good luck on my side I will finally get to see the amazing Zach Galifianakis in person...............in April.

April 2008 would be the month that I celebrate my 14th wedding anniversary, that is if I was still married. Thankfully I am not! So instead of dwelling on the marriage that could not be sustained I will be in a great city, San Diego, in great company, and with the Zach. 

I am so looking forward to this.........hmmm maybe Poltz will be in the area at the same time, what a great trip that would be.

Of late I have heard nothing but compliments. The people I work with have been praising me again and again. Everything from my work ethinc to my shoes and even my laugh have been commented on, in the positive. I must admit that this is quite nice and it makes getting out of bed and going to work so much easier.

The problem you may inquire........well I just don't really know how to accept a compliment graiciously.

Take for example today. The accountant walked past me and said "you smell good"

Instead of saying thank you or just simply being flattered I responded with "well it's not because I took a shower this morning."

Daddy’s Girl

My dad loves me there is no doubt, however on occasion I wonder if he wishes I would just shut up.

To understand you need to know that my father will only eat New England Clam Chowder. He does not eat any other soup. In fact he hates all other soups.

So the other day my mom and I were getting ready to go to the grocery. My mom asked dad if he needed anything.  As they talked the tv switched to a commercial for Levitra.

Mom asked Dad if he wanted some of his beloved soup and Dad replied " Yeah I would like some of that"

I chimed in "what............Levitra?"

My poor Dad flushed and said "no.....no chicken noodle soup..........I mean clam chowder"

All the way to the store mom and I laughed and repeated "chicken noodle soup"

Going Private!
Current mood: tired

I decided, well my bank accounts have made the actual decision, that I must put myself out of financial misery and find a new job. This job will pay significantly more than I make now and will be close to my home so I don't have to purchase gas every other day, just to commute into the "big" city.

Conveniently enough I have found such a job. It is at a privately run facility and I start my training tonight. By October 17th I should be fworking full time there.

However, I will not be giving up completely on this place. I will be working here some during the next few months and occasionally after that.

Hopefully over the next few months I will be able to get my finances in order and actually have some fun for a change.

Mona, wanna go to NY with me? I think I need to go there.

Currently I am in my very cozy bed, resting after my VERY LAST night working the 10pm-6am shift.

Monday I am going to join the ranks of the "normal" people who sleep at night and work during the day. This also means that I will have my weekends off for real.

Closed for the Sea on

When I was just a tiny babe my parents would pack my brothers and I into the car and head down to the local Drive-In. The three of us always in our jim-jams because we could never make it through an entire show without

By the time I was old enough to remember these movie going experiences the Drive-In was closed and sported the title of this post on its reader board. So all I have are the stories.

My senior year in HS, a nice boy from my neighborhood tried with all of his might to make me his, he even took me to the local Drive-In (which is in a different state than my first Drive-In) on a number of occasions. Poor guy, I didn't want to be his, but I loved the Drive-In so I went. This place was great, there was always a double feature, one older show and something brand new. I loved going and since I moved away I have searched for another Drive-In because there is something special about the experience.

Tonight my search is over I have discovered that there is such a place (in the same state as the first) not far from here and I am counting down the days until I can  hook that speaker up to my car.

Sometimes it is the little things that I love.
