NOTE1: I am leaving on Wednesay 27th of August to visit and perform my songs over in Los Angels, New York and Paris until the end of September. It would be nice to see you before I go overseas…
NOTE 2: It has been almost a two years process for me to be able to independently produce this record. It is called "part one" because I originally started to record an album but wasn't able, due to finances and time restrictions, to release the full length project titled "Drifting Upon The Above" which I hope, one day, will come to life and maybe end up somewhere between your stacks of CDs...
NOTE3: Limited tickets only available on the door on the night: $15 or $25 with the CD
NOTE 4: The SiB EP "drifting part one" is also available for $15.00 in all good Melbourne Independent Record Stores. For overseas ordering I recommend to go through RARE RECORDS:

"If i Left You Baby" for the first time on Triple J last night...
Current mood: thankful
Category: Music
Dear friends,
I just wanted to send out a BiG UP to Rhino from TRUE LiVE for plugging us last night during his interview on the Triple J show "Home & Hosed" ...
Yesterday i spent most of the day recording vocals for "Green Eyes" in the studio with KiNG CHARLiE and when 9pm came around i still hadn't have diner and realised that i didn't even own a Radio transistor that actually worked... So i found myself wondering down Brunswick street in Fitzroy in search of a place that would let me listen to the radio... I ended up in one of my favourite restaurant/bar called Gypsy Bar where they let me, a celebratory beer in hand, hanging out with the kitchen hand amongst the piles of dirty dishes, listen to the radio show just in time for the friendly push... After so many years working in hospitality in order to sustain my lifestyle, i found it quite ironic how this little adventure turned ou to be... All my worlds collided into one!
"If I left You Baby" was played nationally for the first time and I am very grateful to Ryan for making this happen... Much Respect!
Peace, Blessings and Much Love to All...

SiB Bio...
Category: Music
In a few words....
Inspired by the true essences of hip-hop and armed with paint brushes and a guitar, I moved from Paris, France to Brisbane, Australia, back in 1997, in hope of becoming more familiar with my Australian roots... Always in touch with my emotions and feelings, I have been seeking for the healing factor and the soul-searching that lies in the process of creating art and music. My songs have lived and traveled with me over the years and have become a representation of my true self. This original material embraces all my influences from sex and love to blues and funk and I hope that it will talk to you as much as it brings joy to me and my peers... Peace, SiB (2002)
In a few more words...
Back in Paris (1995-97), I used to play the skanky wah in a live Hip Hop-Jazz band/skate crew called "La Chelouchessee" but we never took the music thing too seriously, it was more of a party vibe kind of thing... Then I spent a few years studying fine arts & organizing painting exhibitions and moved from France to Australia...
For the first 3 years that I lived in Sydney I co-wrote & performed with Andrew Jans-Brown in the organic poetic entity that was iRiS (independent EP releases: 1999's "distance 'til empty" & 2001's "You Got Me Thinking"), highlights include video clip featured on "Rage", collaboration with Tyrone Noonan (george) and supports to Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds.
In 2002-2004 I worked with Aya Larkin (former lead singer from 90's Acid Jazz/Funk band Skunkhour) on his solo project. He now lives and works in Los Angeles… Highlights include shows at the Sydney Opera House, live performance on TV show "The Fat" and music to the world-acclaimed Neil LaBute play "The shape of things".
As a session guitar player I have been featured on Jade Macrea's "Feel", Mahalia Barnes's "Ass King 4 It", Tina Harrod's "Long way from home" (remix), Lachlan Doley's "Sugar Mama", Seanie T & M.A.S. Production's "Seven Days Of 'Erb" and Jase's (from Nubreed) "Four Seasons" featuring Phrase & Daniel Merriweather.
I have now been living in Melbourne since May 2005 and have kept working with Josh Wermut from M.A.S. Production (Sydney) towards the completion of my very first solo album... That same year, I also co-wrote, performed & produced new tracks with local Soul talent Daniel Merriweather (Best Urban Artist, ARIA 2005). He is currently living in New York and working with Dj/Poducer extraordinaire Mark Ronson on his album...
Daniel introduced me to Jules Pascoe, Bass player from FAKE CiTY: Marc Cascarino on Drums, Gideon Preiss on Keys and Kumar Shome on Guitar. They have been backing me up since August 2005 when we first started performing together around Melbourne... In October of that same year we scored a residency gig at the Evelyn Hotel on Tuesday nights. We have been performing there for over a year and a half now... It has been an amazing journey and it is needless to say that this ongoing support from the Evelyn helped in carving the band's profile... Performing there every week has lead us to fine tune, not only the songs, but the full live show experience. Adding a horn section to the band (Joe Greenway on Saxophone, Peter "Slide" Slipper on Trombone and Paul Van Ross on Baritone) and the sensual Rebecca Ari on Backing Vocals has definitely elevated the band to deliver our music, that embraces everything from Soul to Rock'n'Roll, with a powerful impact. Front of House Sound Engineer, Philip Schreck, who has been working with us pretty much since day one, has also helped significantly in shaping the band's live sound experience...
It has been almost two years now since the band formed and we have had the pleasure to perform at some of the most prestigious venues around Melbourne and also had the privilege to support great local and international acts to sold out shows such as The Cat Empire, True Live, Sneaky Sound System, Josh Owen Band, Offcuts, JACKSON JACKSON, Psychedlic Soul Hip Hop novators Dudley Perkins & Georgia Anne Muldrow and also American Soul Rebel, Cody ChesnuTT...
I cannot start to describe how excited I am about releasing my album this year... It has indeed been a long and exciting journey so far and am thoroughly looking forward to performing our music around the country...
Peace, Blessings and much Love to All...
