i love salsa music...god it feels so good...it just gets into your blood and makes you feel something...

lol...too bad my music is not genre specific cause i would totally rock out some salsa or meringue if it twas...

i want to make something happen

i want to make something happen with my music but nothing has been forthcoming lately...

i do have some new angles im working but still nothing...

although i might have a new idea just given to me by this cool looking musician from brasil...he has like four different music spaces dedicated to different aspects of his music making...im like why didnt i think of that along time ago...

i think the main thing is right now i dont have enough room or space and things set up the way i like them nor time or money to sit down and do what i want to do with my music...i feel encroached upon and crowded and lazy...

creativity

she is fleeting sometimes...

i feel her when i cant have her and she disappears when i have all the time in the world... lol...she is tricky...

i guess making music is hard as one man...and not as satisfying with many people...for me that is...

when youre making music...its not just the music, but what are you trying to say...how are you trying to say it? are you going to used the prescribed form of saying or do you have a way of fucking it up a bit(in a good way of course)?

its poetry and its pop-lyricism...its profane and profound...

and its sacred while being sacreligious...

i guess a bunch of catch 22s to sum it up...but thats okay...

try and try i will...just for those few moments of clarity...those few moments of brillance...

UPDATES

Well Im still workin on the ep...(thats going to take me awhile)...and i have to shift focus for a second cause i got a show coming next month and i always like to feel prepared for that and i want to make it spectacular...

other than that, i think i might be reuniting with a former bandmate and there might be a move in the future

also i was out of focus for a second but now im getting back on track...

so viva la musica!

what i am listening to at the moment

the new albumns from rilo kiley, iron and wine, and beirut...

the new beirut has still yet to grow on me, although i love his music....

the iron and wine and rilo kiley albumns are amazing...i just cant believe how these artist continue to come out with great albumns that are a little different in scope and surprise me, yet are something i really dig...

i think my fav is the new rilo kiley...
