new years in june

ok, if we can have x-mas in july, why not new years in june? hell yeah. the best day of the year, fer damn sure. why? because it's a new year, dummie! whadya want to be? who would you like to transform yer everlovin' self into? remarket, reposition, remanufacture. screw evolution, i'm all for transmutation. and yeah, we could do this every day, but really, it's a bit much to be popping up all bright and shiny every freakin' day. but once a year just isn't enough for my eager butt. so i, mr. king goofball, am having new years in june. today. right this second, golldurnit. anyone wanna celebrate the new you with me?

so i am really thinking hard about changing my name to the ranticore. whadya think? it's better than rant-o'-war, rantaloons, rant-ickki-taffy, or ranta clause. i can have my own country (irant) and we can invade that other country (iwreck). ran't we all just get along?

i posted a bunch of new pictures to my profile today. tattoos, artwork for sale, and old art that is already sold/given/claimed by time. the work that is available can be purchased at the shop. it all follows my new esthetic of fast and cheap :) most works are done in one sitting and emphasis color and humor over technical perfection. and they are all priced to sell. most of them are less than the price of a quality print, for an original piece. and not a churned out, formulaic whatever, but something new and different. so check 'em out! i will be putting more larger pieces (mostly acrylic on canvas) up as i complete them, as well as more smaller pieces. we also have a bunch of artwork from other artists available for viewing/sale at the shop, so definitely come by and get a gander in person.

my new shop!

signed the lease yesterday on my new tattoo studio and creative center! mystic monkey tattoo emporium, on bolm and springdale across from the blue theater. i got a big retail/studio space in front, a huge warehouse/gallery/playroom in back, and a huge fenced in lawn. and plenty of parking. i am spending the rest of this month getting open, going to burning man, and then coming back and really getting going the begining of september. yippee!
