i got my album cover taken...haven't picked the winning photo yet, but will do so in the next week. erika nusser took the pictures and her work is amazing. i feel really lucky to have worked with her. we set up a faux 'mug shot' setting. 'alibi bye' will be out really soon and i just can't wait for it to be 'out there'!

So Nate Shelkey and I are trying to venture into reality television. it's a show that pits jingle writer against jingle writer. DRAMA, right? for the audition, we had to compose a jingle about a made up product. we chose Fruit it Up!, a fruity-flavored gum, naturally....Check the video out on my page. hilarity!

hello there!!
if you may have noticed, large porky creatures are flying outside your window right now. and the folks down in hell are remarking what cold weather they are having for this time of year.
point being, after years (YEARS!) of recording, and hold-ups, and then other things, my album with the Blue Cocoon label is going to be available for public consumption! an actual physical copy (um, CDs is what i think you call them) will be out in a couple months, but right now--starting today, folks!--you can buy the album off my myspace page. the digital age is upon us and the fact is, selling mp3s is the way to go(....but a CD copy will be out shortly as well). as you may well know, i worked my heini off this thing, a good year and a half of blood sweat and broken guitar strings. i would love love LOVE for you to listen to it and enjoy it! who knows, there could be a song about or for you on the album (yes, you! jean!).
and for the next couple days only, you can download 'give me the creeps' for free! yes! you can go on a song by song basis (75 cents a piece--the price will go up to 99cents once it's on itunes) or you can just go ahead and get the whole album (please do!). press the + sign next to 'alibi bye' to buy individual tracks.just click on my page and go on down to the 'snocap' box on the right.
i've been playing these songs around the country for the past two years and having them come to fruition with a great producer, and great studio musicians was an awesome, awesome honor. steve rossiter, producer extra-ordinaire, really was beyond helpful and believed in these songs and me sometimes more than i did. steve doyle, lonnie solaway, roger lent and doug shanks are awesome musicians and check out their links to go support them the way they supported me (http://siobhanomalley.com/links.html). the sound is much bigger than i've ever had, so it's pretty exciting.
okay, i am fully exhausted now from trying to be a saleswoman. phew.
love, siobhan
p.s. if you are 'old school' and only buy cds, sit tight, b/c the cd will be out in two months time. http://www.siobhanomalley.com
i made this poll thing, so people could vote for my album, but it had all these annoying pop-ups attached to it and also seemingly messed up the html of my page. so screw that! if you’d like to suggest titles, suggest away! the poll had these choices: a. we’re all relics b. the better things fall down c. some horseplay d. alibi bye e. on ice f. [your choice] pick one and comment back!
on my myspage page, please vote on the poll as to what i should call my album. i just don’t even know anymore. there are options, you can vote, you can feel good about voting and i can feel good about having input. win win situation!
i recently played at a singer-songwriter festival in cape may, nj. ’science can’t be coy’, a song of mine, is getting played on the radio down there. i was told it was getting "medium airplay", which i’m not really sure what that means, but... 101.5 WCFA. if you happen to have a spare moment, and want to help me out, email WCFA@centerforcommunityarts.org.and tell them to play it more!
