Alright so there have been bare conspiracy theories since September 11th 2001 of varying degrees of credibility. Most lack the rigorous analysis and academic style necessary to be taken seriously, but recently a group called Scholars for 9/11 Truth (S911T) have released well-sourced papers which, I believe, prove conclusively that the official story (that the twin towers collapsed due to a combination of damage from the planes and intense heat causing the colums to fail) is false and that the only logical explanation for what occured that day is that the towers and building 7 were brought down by controlled demolition using explosives.
