Alamogordo Street & Skate boarders needed for photo shoot

Pass the word around please.  Fantasy Photographer, Joseph Corsentino will be at the Cloudcroft Renaissance Fantasy Faire June 28-29th and he will be photographing in Alamogordo and surrounding areas June 30th-July 3rd.

He needs guys who can skateboard, do athletic tricks and look urban street. They need to be nice looking and in pretty good shape.  You do not need to be too muscular but nothing chubby.  Some girls will be used as well.

No, the guys will not be faeries, they will just be guys but they do get to be with some very pretty models!

This is not a paid gig.  It is an opportunity of a lifetime and can be used for Jobs and portfolio.  You will need to be at the faire on Sunday for Joseph to look at and give you a schedule.

Faire Location: Cool Pines RV Park, mile marker 30 on Highway 82 past Cloudcroft ,going toward Mayhill.

Legion 2009 Horror Movie Extras

Basic Story:

The story follows what happens when God loses faith in humanity and sends his legion of angels to wipe out the human race for the second time in a terrifying biblical apocalypse that descends upon the world. Mankind's only hope lies in a group of misfits holed up in a diner in the desert who is aided by the archangel Michael (Paul Bettany)

After this group of strangers are stranded in a remote truck stop diner in the Southwest (New Mexico), they unwittingly become humanity's last line of defense.  During this time they discover the diner's young waitress is pregnant with the messiah.  

Outside of this diner there are possessed humans who attack while inside they do all they can to keep this child alive.   

How we come in:

Our group signed up to be extras in movies and a few of us decided we wanted to be part of this horror film !

So here we are at 3 pm in the afternoon on a Wednesday, out in the middle of nowhere with no idea what to do or where to go but we are just happy to be there!  We are hearded into a large tent like cattle so we can get our vouchers signed and we are given a speech to insure we know the rules and are in fact able to follow the rules. 

Once that is established, we are asked who would like to be dirt bag rockers and out of those who raise thier hands, we were chosen to include around 20 other people. 

That afternoon we are taken to hair and make up and then instructed to take our (payment) vouchers to wardrobe where they hand us items or clothing needed to finish the modern possessed look.   Once we are in costume, a few of us are selected to wear black contacts and either sharp teeth or what they call baby teeth. 

I was chosen to wear sharp teeth the first night but by the time they got to me, the teeth were all gone.  I was a bit disapointed but I did get the contacts.   As we stood there, I was so amazed how the veins, contacts and teeth had changed everyone.  We were ready to advance! 

When it came time to film, we were instructed to form two lines across from each other so Lucas Black, Adrianne Palicki and Willa Holland could pass through with the new messiah.  Lucas held a gun and as he went by he would point the gun in our direction.  It was quite a rush but we had to keep up the blank stare that followed the child till they got past us and climbed into a cop car where a girl dressed in agown and a funky bag over her head pounded a stick on the car.  This went on many times as they changed camera directions. 

The night was very cold and we did our very best to look like we didn't give a damn.  As they would call cut, we would relax and the actors would rush back to the diner to get warm.  On one occasion, Lucas Black rushed back between me and a guy in a tuxedo.  He brushed my shoulder then apologized right away.  It was nice to to see that kindness from an actor. Later he even spoke to us a few times so we felt tickled to have that experience.

On Thursday we got into our "Dirt Bag Rocker" attire and learned how possessed rockers run or charge a vehicle.  I admit it was fun, especially when we got to rock the van back and forth.  After several takes and camera changes, we were experts in the art of stalking.  

It was still cold outside but all that running and movement helped to keep us a little warmer.  We finished filming at 5 am with the 45 minute ride back to our rooms.  Good thing I was able to stay awake as I had no help from the girls. (You know who you are! )  Each night they fell asleep in the car and left me to force myself to stay alert.  I still love you both!

That morning was Friday so most of us had a day off while they filmed in Albuquerque.  I slept a couple of hours, did some brief shopping and that evening I played some Lazer tag with a few local college students.  I learned a long time ago if you have to eat alone or be in a big city alone, find something to read or do so the time goes by faster.

On Saturday evening we filmed the van explosion scene.  We had to get up next to the van, pretend to rock it and when the director called action the stunt double for Paul Bettany acted like he was shooting the gas coming out of a hose and pointing it at us.  We pushed away from the van as quickly as we could while the van was on fire.  (No actual gas or fire during the filming, they add that in later)  I can't wait to see me set on fire!

It was great getting to speak briefly with Paul Bettany, a very nice English man and seeing Tyrese Gibson slide off the roof a few times was fun to watch but the real fun was being with other "abby normals" laughing and getting to know one another as extras really made the experience more enjoyable. It may have been cold and the hours were very long but I thank God for the group we had to work with.   I would do it all over in a heart beat!

Great News Faerie & Troll Fans!

Reaping white ravens
creaking croaking
Gothic tower looms
silver palace of night
it's iron shod doors
open ..

she leaves, a dryad in
woodland dress, azurite
hair, eyes crystal ice
Her glimmering cape
made of wolfskins
A crown of ivy, sticks
and thorns, a scepter
held her lithe hands

Wolf Lord bows his head
his black pelt frost coated
like the armor of Thor;
his alabaster eyes watch
breath mists, noble calm

She glides over the snow
no footfalls, no tracks

His voice rumbles
"Queen Mab, I come
to thee", gruff, wintered
his muzzle bruised, scarred

smiling, lips a scarlet blush
old friend, you please me

"Time has been kind"
heartache holds him back
tears fill his eyes, "I'm
tired, Sweet Fata"

I know
soft fingers run along his
