Six random things about me....
1. I am deathly afraid of people in mascot or clown suits...any one where you can't see their face. I never know what slimy, scary person is behind it!
2. I love ketchup with potato chips.
3. I love to read a book and have it look like I never opened a page of it. Most of the books on my bookshelf look like they are brand new!
4. I would watch a scary movie or action film over a chick flick any day.
5. I love music...anything from Enya to Godsmack. My playlists are crazy and unpredictable.
6. If I am eating candy such as M&M's or Skittles, I have to eat even numbers...one on each side of my mouth.

An absolutely amazing author I read sent out this tag and I had to play along, especially with today being the day it is.
I have a dream...
That one day I will walk into a social services office and see mothers with their babies looking for and receiving help without ten tons of gold jewelry on, expensive intricate hairstyles and equally costly manicures. That will mean people have learned they must put their children first in everything, they have learned where their priorities must be, and understand that abuse of the charity of others only hurts the givers and those in need they might have helped next had you not hurt and jaded them.
I have a dream...
That all tribes become one tribe. That we will delight in our one tribe being the most exotic, intricate and diversified collection of human beings there can possibly be and it will give us pleasure to celebrate our differences...together.
I have a dream...
That one day everyone will realize that domesticated animals depend on us and we are responsible to them for all of their lives just as we would be for our natural born children. Without us to shelter them as we promised, they are cold, wet and vulnerable to attack. Without us to feed them they will starve and be forced to hunt with weakened skills since we purposely bred them out of them. Without love, cuddles and snuggles of affection they will suffer alone and lonely, unable to trust...unable to comprehend...and unable to feel needed and wanted just as everyone craves to be needed and wanted.
I have a dream...
That fear and self-preservation will lose the battle against conscience and righteous indignation when it comes time for us to bear witness to cruelty, abuse, or a crime of any kind. That people will understand that their silence may not have involved them in the present crime, but it will aid and abet the crime of the future if allowed to. Speak up. Be unafraid. Be a moral force of nature. Say NOT THIS TIME...NOT THIS ANIMAL...NOT THIS CHILD...NOT THIS NEIGHBORHOOD...NOT THIS TIME AND NOT EVER AGAIN!!!

One hot man and a contest

Wow, sounds like something naughty. Ahh, if only. Well, for this contest I have to nominate Roarke from the In Death series by J. D. Robb (Nora Roberts). Wow, where to start.....
Anyone who reads this series knows exactly who I am talking about and why he is so amazing. Talk about a dream man: money, looks and personality. He is a bit of a fallen angel, but doing quite a job to redeem himself...although it is a bit of the fallen part that you have to love. He is the understanding, patient lover we all wish we had. Ahhh, and the accent, who can forget about that one.....
Nice Nalini, now you have me jonesing for the next one to come out!!!

Pills r good.....pills r good......
You know, I discovered a sad fact about my life the other day. I find that many of the sayings I have, the one above as an example, come from the movie Dumb and Dumber.  I wonder, what does that say about me? Random thoughts.
Well, lucky me. I caught the fabulous cold that is going around. Just the first of many I am sure. But at least I think I am on the tail end of it...I hope I hope I hope. Until then, NyQuil is my dear friend. (We won't tell the NyQuil that the blackberry brandy is my good friend too!)  I have to wonder where your body comes up with the interesting things that come out of it when you have a cold. Where does it all come from? Yuck.
I hope to get all of my Christmas shopping done this weekend. I always wait until the very last minute. I just hate shopping this time of year. I always think that I will get out earlier in the year and just get it done....ya right! Once again, here I am less than two weeks away and having to go out.
OH, and I am so excited. I actually get a little vacation at Christmas. Whoo hoo! Two weeks off. I so don't know what to do with myself, but I am sure Logan will figure it out for us! I will probably be so sick of Transformers by the end of it that all the little figures we painstakingly looked for for our little angel will just be a pile of unrecognizable plastic rubble. Wait, that could be fun......
Well, that's it for today. Time for more pills. *ack* *sniff*.

Ahh, Saturday. Boys at the store. Jammin' to some tunes.
Life is good.
Can you believe October is almost over? Wow, time flies anymore. It will be Christmas again before we know it.
It was supposed to be a rainy, windy day all day today, but I am seeing the sun peeking through the clouds right now. I love the rain...yes, I am weird, I know what you are thinking. Always makes me think of my Grandma who has passed, so I love it. We used to sit up (I spent quite a bit of time with my Grandma when I was younger) with her and we would just listen to the rain and storms. She made them awesome and not scary at all. Just a little flash back there.
Sorry, just rambling today. No real point to this blog.
Sold my car yesterday. F I N A L L Y!!! It has taken forever. Sure takes a big load off. Back to a 2 car family. Am going to miss my little Caliber, but I do love my Pontiac, so all is well. If only the stereo was a little louder....
Planning on watching a little football (Go Boise State Broncos!!!) tonight and a little UFC. Yummy half neked mens beating up on each other. Does it get any better? Oh yes, add Mr. Smirnoff and whoo hoo, watch out.  Yes, I know....I am challenged at times.
Well, I am off. Just felt like rambling.

Me time!!!

Happy Friday all! I thought it was about time I wrote something when I wasn't super bored or tired.
I am very excited.....I have the house to myself for a few hours!! Don't get me wrong, I love my boys dearly--but some ME time rocks!!! Watching what I want to watch on the TV, eating my son's birthday cake for dinner, playing my music loud, and roaming on the computer without the "how much longer are you going to be" comments. HEAVEN for a time. Ahhhhh.
Actually, hubby took my son to the fair about 6 and 4 hours later they are still running crazy. Hubby calls every once in a while to say he is running amock! That's my boy! Carnival rides are the best.
Well, I am off to play some more. Nothing to exciting here, just wanted to say HI and let everyone know that I can write a Blog that is not about being bored.

B O R E D ! ! !

Oh my goodness, what a boring day. It is so slow here--not that I would wish a hospital stay on anyone, but dang! Maybe I will get out of here early today. 
Had a pretty mellow weekend. We were just recovering from the loss of Niko, so didn't feel up to too much.
One thing that was crazy though....on Sunday I get this call from the humane society and I am thinking to myself, "OH GOD", they weren't able to put him down, or he bit someone or something like that. It was actually the guy that was there when I dropped him off calling to check on us and make sure we were OK. How cool and nice is that??? He said that he had Rottweilers also and knew how special they were. I cried. What an awesome man. It really helped to know that Niko was with someone who understands and loves the breed at the end. Bleh, can't talk about it anymore.
Supposed to be another hot one today. At least it is not supposed to get to 100, but damn close.
Hummmm, nothing else at the moment that I can think to ramble on about. It is that boring here. Oh well, lucky for you, I will stop now.
