There was a party at the weekend in preperation for the wedding. Was nice to see everyone have not had so much time with all the work .Am back lamb bananaring today getting everything boxed off. But not in tate so is a little more relaxed.

Worked the day after the party so didnt drink to hard. One chap nearly knocked the fridge over and my parents were dancing in the living room at 4am and telling me to go to bed. I took there advice.

There was also a lamb banana compertition and everyone got to color one and they were pinned on the fridge for judging. There was extensive coruption though with adults taking the choclate bars to be used as prizes and nobbling the judges.

A 2 bar bribe to my nephew was enough to secure his vote silenced and my niece had a misterious change of heart and retracted the winner and gave top prize to someone else.

There was a lot of presure from artists copying favourate designs from childrens T shirts and parent power that proved in effective also.

over worked

Am being forced to sit still so will blog as have fallen out of habit with time issues. The gustav klimt exhibition is super busy we had 150,000 visitors in june. The target for the whole year is 750, 000.

Honeymoon is in meltdown as is eileen. We wanted to see the grand canyon but chopping and changing dates means we have not booked hotels in the middle of peak season. She reacts badly when i mention this as she is stressed in work with out 2 colliges there to help with the work load. I have to wait now as she sent a text that she has gone straight to bed and wants to talk when she is rested. Hope i get to the studio tonight.

Got my jerwood drawing prize entry in and will find out in a few weeks if there is any luck. Am back on the lamb bananas also was hoping to have them finnished tonight but dont want to push eileen didnt talk to her on sunday as she was out and went and did work which was  a crime as was not in to be phoned up.

will be glad when is all over. Bought a new pen today as a treat but am disapointed with new pink ink. dose not smudge how i would like.

master in skem

Friend was telling me about a master painter from russia who lives on a small estate in skelmisdale. Am going to try and meet her today in my lunch break, is always difficult as you never know what shift your going to be on.

AM having the morning off from painting lamb bananas is a never ending job. Also have to organise my entry for the jerwood drawing prize hand in is tomorrow and i need to frame the stuff tonight.

leaflets with enthusiasim

We were chatting about the tennis today and how attitude is important i was saying that the people who win play to win and dont play to play well. It was like my attitude to giving out leaflets in the foyer at tate and explaining were the toilets are.

Proberly the most novel point in the day was were i had to check the toilets and explain to a collige to tell the cleaner that there was brown sauce on the toilet seat in the mens and then trying to explain to eves dropping tourists that i wasnt using a euthamisim ,it actualy was what i said.

That vandal has an art degree im sure.

One of the hats has been torn off now and the one that went on a trip to blackpool hasnt turned up. Will see if the theif gets somthing in this weeks paper.

Had a bit of a tough time off some of the older dears at the art club over a painting at other blog . One said it looked a bit like a bondage peice which was ok as its what you want realy. She went on to tell them about a 50 year old toy boy shes eyeing up and they all got in on it. Felt terrably victimised and after standing my ground for a good 3 minutes against the 6 of them i ran away before my next shift started back at tate.

Stayed till 8.30 but wont work tomorrow night am not getting enough painting done ,am off to the dentist first thing though.

I got in touch with the marketing company that came up with the concept for the herd. Its now been seen in blackpool but I painted 6 large ones and there all individual so we will see it as it goes on its travles if its the same one or if one has gone to london and one has gone north as so on.

Is a good laugh now its starting to look like its not so serious I got a bit of a hard time today as i came across funny on the radio aparently. Reminds me of when the BBC interviewed me is very difficult when people just put short questions to you and theres no script.

Apparently the ransom is 11 lambs and 52 bunches of bananas. Everyone seems to be having fun with it Id say that its a virual campaign being run by the people who are doing the marketing. Banana HQ isnt in on it though and there not happy about the phones constantly ringing.

But there getting a lot of exposure. I had to paint 11 of the things and im kind of wondering now if this is why.

on the radio

A local radio station phoned me and asked me some questions about how i thought the missing one might feel. Is always difficult when your put on the spot with short questions am not looking forward to hearing how i came across but thats the comedy peice at the end of tomorrows breakfast news.

It made the local telly news tonight my mum said. And it comes up  in google if you put in liverpool theft lamb banana . Will be interesting to see what gets said tomorrow. Theres talk of a ransom that isnt getting paid. would not be good with another 120 round the city.

The drama is still unfolding. The theif has contacted a radio station there was talk of a ransom which is ridiculus as everyone will start stealing the things. But he dosnt want money and he dosnt want to give it back as his children like it and will be sad to see it leave.

Its my understanding from superlamb HQ that the police are not yet involved. And i may have to go on the radio to give my side of the story. I havnt been following the drama to well as i cant listen to the radio in the gallery.

Also the story about someone vomiting on the lord mayor banana is not true. The BBC broke the story over breakfast but there sources were incorrect.

crisis meeting

I went down to the clients offices to see the scene of the crime today there are 2 lamb bananas bolted to the floor outside and 3 in the office surounding a secerteys desk. They looked quite cosy inside its raining on me.

I then went down to lamb banana HQ to see if there had been any developments. Nobody was in the office so im guessing there is a crisis meeting or somthing.

Ive sent  a text to the super lamb banana co-ordinator and hopefully she will be in touch with any breaking news.

Ive set up a folder of images on facebook and will do the same here, theres plenty of CCTV around the city so hopfully someone will have seen somthing.
