Jim Armstrong & the Sonic Deli Band are joined by a couple of special guests; incomparable David VanDuzen (Chuck Berry; Ronnie Hawkins and the Hawks; Looking Glass; Seadog; Moxy; Motherload & more) filling in on lead guitar for SDB's Phil Kane.
And all the way from Montreal, Little Birdie. Here's an excerpt taken directly from the band's myspace page - "Little Birdie led by singer-songwriter Orit Shimoni, is an up-and-coming folk/alt-country band based in Montreal, and steadily spreading into the hearts of many, with CBC radio play across Canada, performances at Mariposa Folk Festival and Canadian Music Week, and radio and TV. appearances.
Known for her "siren's voice and songwriting pearls" (the Montreal Mirror), Orit's lyrics are "truly profound" (the Suburban) and captivating. Backed up by Andre Kirchhoff's intense musicianship and harmonies, the band plays as a trio or four-piece when on tour. In Montreal they often perform with members of local band Lil' Buck, the front-man of which, Mark Goodwin is responsible for the "stellar production job" (Montreal Mirror) of Little Birdie's debut album, Cinematic Way, which was nominated for best country album in the GAMIQ (Quebec Independent Music Awards)."
Come help celebrate the first anniversary of the Savannah Room with this great line up! Show: 10:00 pm Cover: $5.00
Thanks for your time and continued support - we really appreciate it!

Come be in our video shoot this Sunday? - TORONTO
Current mood: accomplished
Category: Music
Hello Fellow Torontonians (and those in the GTA) We’re putting out the word - we need volunteers to be in Jim Armstrong’s video for the song, Tomorrow’s Gonna Be Grand. Our friend and colleague, Tom Canton of Canton Film Studios is producing and directing this music video and we require "pedestrian traffic" for the shoot (the vid is one long take of a street scene). It will be approximately a 2 hour chunk of time on Sunday morning - 9:00 - 11:00 am (maybe less) at a tba downtown location. We will have more information as we get nearer to Sunday. If this sounds like something you might enjoy doing - drop us a line and say so. We’d love to have you ;-) Thanks - look forward to hearing from you! Andrea & Jim andrea.sonicdeli@sympatico.ca
