Cinematic Label Launch with Special Guest Sat 21st June!!

The official launch party of Cinematic takes place on 21st of June, at one of London's most promising and underground venues around, Gramaphone in Commercial Street, Shoreditch. Soy explains: " We were looking for a small venue with a low ceiling ,punchy sound system and that London underground vibe. Grammaphone is in the heart of Shoreditch, London's most famous neighborhood for electronic dance music and offers exactly that feel we are going after". Grammaphone which hosts a wide range of successful electronic nights, is said to the birthplace for many small but upcoming parties in London's scene and was featured in London's press as "The Hot Spot of Shoreditech" along with T Bar and East Village. Soy and Alex will be kicking it from as early as 9pm with Londons very own special guest Frankie Valentine who is well known for his flawless productions on labels like Sunshine Enterprises, featuring his characteristic electronic sound. Expect the full spectrum of house music from the deepest to the darkest and from the jazzy to the dubby stuff.

Shack Music 3rd Bday @ East Village

Soy Mustafa's very own brainchild came into existence back in 2004 when he converted an old Shed or Shack into its studio headquarters and decided to launch a label delivering "the soul, the sweat and the energy" onto the dance floor. That might sound like a big promise but listening to the music the label has released since its launch has has firmly cemented its pedigree.

Support for Shack Music has come from the scenes biggest players including Carl Craig, Dennis Ferrer, MAW, Kerri Chandler, Laurent Garnier, Ame amongst many players who have been actively supporting the label's sound around the world. Having proved its' qualities on the dancefloor, Shack Music has steadily established itself in the scene as a purveyor of hypnotic, raw and unpretentious house music.

Three years and 12 releases later, Shack celebrates its 3rd year birthday party to spread the label's sound and showcase artists from it's roster.

There couldn't be a better place for Shack Music to celebrate it's third anniversary other than London's very latest addition to the scene, East Village in Great Eastern Street. Most of you might know it as the former "Medicine Bar" . Now full refurbished and playing host to some fine nights the vibe and energy pumping out of that basement electrifies the East End in every sense. Some great parties have been taking place lately with guests ranging from Germany's minimal techno heads to US most deep house acts and UK tech house masters, so Shack Music will feel well at home!

For this special night, Soy has invited some of the very best DJs from across the world. Upstairs, one of London's most respected and original artists since the early 90's, Phil Asher from Restless Soul will be spinning Afro, Roots, Funk and Deep Disco beats along with Otto Nascarella and Martin Lodge from Candy Apple. Expect a trip into music cultures as Phil is well known for his multilateral sets and rare records!

Downstairs in the basement, coming straight from Lyon and headlining the party is Rocco from Rodamaal, who will be presenting the most cutting edge deep grooves. Well known for his productions on Buzzin Fly, Freerange and of course Shack Music, Rocco has established himself as one of the world most promising artists in the scene with equally good production and DJing skills. Supporting him will be North London's deep/tech act Kemistry who have managed to produce some excellent cuts in less than a year with releases on NRK, Soul Heaven and more recently remixing Rodamaal "Insomnia" getting huge rotation on Radio 1. Completing the line up is Dallas-born Demarkus Lewis, another highly estimated artist who produced for Shack Music amongst many other labels and is well known to the scene for his raw, jacking house sound. This party is Not to be missed!

Daaaaamn the year is already in full swing everyone's talking about WMC again.....and I'm still here

But all is not lost! Been mad busy doing all sorts, least of all starting a new label!

Ok so here goes.........studio exploits with the first Kemistry joint for 2008 is out now on NRK called "City Slang EP" with 2 fresh cuts "Snakebite" and errrm "City Slang" proper deep shizz yoooo!

Also excited about the remix for Rodamaal's "Insomnia" joint forthcoming on Buzzin Fly on 19th May......hope peeps dig!
