What’s with that?

Hey guys,
So I just logged in to check the messages and realised....
... I never blog anymore. I guess it’s totes down to my Facebook addiction... but anywho it makes me kinda sad to not have a journal of my life anymore.
The last blog I was still in the US. Maddness!

Since then and now I am:
* Back home in Newcastle. Although I did vist it US again in January, stayed with Drew-Boo and caught up with guys. Was awesome
* Studying Zoology at Newcastle, finding it much harder than last year but loving every minute of it.
* Moving to a new place in July to live with 2 of the most awesome people ever, to live in Dumpling Grove - our new mansion!
*  I have a new guy. He’s awesome. That’s all I’m saying on the matter .
* Going out in Newcastle waaay too much. Loving it.
* Roadtripping and random days out to the max.
* Have a new job at the Metrocentre.
* Do lots of zoo/naturey stuff and have a superfantastical time with it.
* Overdo the photography side of life.

So yeah, that’s basically my life.
I love it lots.
If you wanna keep up to date Facebook it. For real. I’m an addict.

Today I’m feeling down with a cold but trying to revise and loving being at my ’rents place, watching snow, lounging in my baggy-ass clothes and muching on foods. It’s the best!

I’ll be back in Newcastle after next week - end of Easter!
Can’t wait to see my entourage again.

... A bit of an update on my life [Ha ha to all you camp people who said it!]

Not a long one today, I need to nap!

Last week was Carnival week - went awesomely.

Had a big Carnival on Thurs nite and also did Great Escape for Evening program which involved me and George getting kids to spin around while someone fed them marshmallows without dropping them.
Had a productive week but had so many kids was a bit more of a challenge than usual!
This week we have 33 in Morris and 9 in Daycamp - YAY.
All of the kids seem awesome already. Atm I'm on my hour off so I'll make this quick, I'm off to nap!

Two of my Morris gurls have already asked me to counsel them for Blue Rag this week. OMC I'm so psyched about it. Feels awesome.
Last week I did my first Blue Ceremony. Had my Raggers babies - Konrad, Drew and Jamie all to do in one nite.
I was a bit nervous, wanted to make it mean as much to them as mine did to me. I think it went well and they all seemed to enjoy it so yay!
Now they can all counsel kids this week. Woop woop.

The weekend, as always, was a lot of fun. Went to see the Simpsons new movie and for Chinese, some shopping for clothes and costumes and then back to camp then hung out on the nite. Oh oh and went to the laundrymat for the first time! Haha. It was awesome. See my new pics :P
Next weekend gonna spend with Caitlin coz she's leaving. SAD FACE.
I hate the leaving. This Sat sucked with all the gurls going home.
Ah well that's the way with camp! New kids, new chance to meet new people!

Ok then, off to nap. I only have 45 mins left! Gotta make it count! Lol.

And this week in the news...

Super quick blog just to let you know the haps.

This week I went to Paul Marsh's white rag ceremony - it was awesome.
Paul Marsh rawks.
DayCamp is running very smoothly. Morris girls are lots of fun.
Went out with Eli for a meal last nite, was nice to just hang out and chat.
Covered for 1 and 2 and it was kool to see other cabins run.
DayCamp sleepover tonite and western fair, will be awesome fun.
Brad's reading us a story, super sweet.

Lastly - long weekend! Chicago Friday nite after campfire.

Psyched.psyched.psyched.

Reaching goals and meeting targets

So it's Friday (   ) Can't wait for the weekend as per usual. Not because I don't love the week - it's amazing - just the weekend is the best time off I could ever ask for. Every single week my weekend just tops it off.

Anywho so this week I've been amazing myself. When I explain it probably doesn't sound much or make too much sense.. but it's big for me. Personal goals.

Tuesday night I went out with Dru, Konrad, Lucas, Sarah and Toni.
THEN in the rain I climbed the Nature tree onto the hut. Sounds random but I've wanted to do it since like week one or two. Was supposed to have my raggers talk there but I couldn't make it. So Tues nite I just did it. Felt awesome - was the only thing that's beat me since getting here.

Wed nite I volunteered for the Pirate Counsellor Auction - a crazy idea in itself. Lol. Baker Cooper bought us and made us run around the cabin while throwing toilet water and pop. Haha. Then we got rolled in the sand and had to jump off Coops. Now.. this is the scary part. Coops is ridiculously scary. Lol. It's this diving platform thingy. It's about 6 meters up plus and extra foot bit at the top. I climbed up and simply could not do it. It was scary man. Everyone was watching and kept counting me down and I kept wussing out. The longer I looked down the harder it was.
Eventually I came down, feeling defeated. Tristain and Noel convinced me to do the middle one, 3 metres or something, which after Coops was not big at all! So everyone started leaving and the guys were like "Just do it. I know you can do it". The encouragement and support of people here is amazing.
I went up and just jumped. No thinking about it.  
I hurt my arm and foot a bit but it was intense. After all that thinking about it, it just felt so good to have done it.
So yeah, I'm so glad I did it. I'm also very proud of myself because I didn't think I could.
Noel and Tristain (gurl) I loves you both muchly. I soo wouldn't have done it without you.

Other than that - had the sleepover last nite, was a sucess this week.
Did a treasure hunt and we worked together and found our treasure then watched Cheaper By The Dozen.
Tonite we have the dance and our last nite with the gurls. Gonna miss them all - had another cabin of awesome gurls. I'm sure most are stayovers though so yaaaaay! Another week.

Also got email from Marissa (week 1) and Jenna (week 2/3), both campers in Morris - if you're reading this THANKS GUYS!
I'll be replying asap.

Hour off baby.

Taking my hour off during the day. It' is super hot today. The weather is unbelievable here.

I got a Thank You package from the parents of two kids we had last week. It was the sweetest thing, it's stuff like that that make it all worthwhile.

The kids in my DayCamp and in Morris all rawk this week - it's going to be a good week. I can tell already.
Man I'm excited for this week to begin

On to life at camp .
Everything still rawks. Life is awesome. Little tired out tonite - lack of sleep and have the Day Camp kids over today so writing this on my hour off, the first I've taken alone since getting here (Scary thought) so I have time to check emails and things.

Spencer has abandoned camp for Argentina which pretty crappy - 3 weeks what were you thinking?! Going to miss yoooooou. (You're the best )

Heyo world back home.

I'm still in America! I loves it muchly.
Right now I really don't want to go home at all. Which is awesome because I'm here for at least another 2 and a half month. Woooot!

Have you ever been somewhere or someplace where everything just feels right?
And the place is where you should be and the people are who you should be with? That's where I am.

Had another awesome weekend. Not quite last weekend but awesome in another way I guess. Just getting to know people and stuff. Hanging out, watching movies, the good things in life. Everything rawks.

DayCamp is on to our second week of kids - all really kool kids. Even better news is that the kids in our cabin all get on awesomely and I'm getting to know them all so well. It's the shizz.

Ok so I'm heading back to my kids now!

I joined a cult!

Took part in the Raggers program last nite and it rawked.
Honestly, you'd have to be there to understand but it was amazing.
I love camp so much. Bring on the kids!!

Since my last post I've been fully into the staff training stuff.
Done sooo much in the past week it's not even real.
It feels like I've been here for forever but no time at all.

There was the BEST game of capture the flag in the woods with facepaints and everything followed by chapel in the lake, Tapioca pudding eating competition (I have very graphic photos of vomiting!), awesome trip out to Meijers, a crazy assed T-Shirt auction (I won the BEST hoodie made for moi by Pippi) and so many nights spent at the campfire.
Training has been long and sometimes tiring after a late campfire nite.

Moved out of the shared cabin into our real cabin last nite. I'm in Morris - oldest gurls' cabin with 4 other gurlies who all seem great.
Getting ready to hang up all my piccis from home and start to miss you all.

..... I just can't believe how much I love this place .....

Leaving on a Jet Plane

September sometime I guess.

I'm flying tomorrow ; Newcastle - Heathrow, Heathrow - Washington Dc, Washington Dc - Detroit... then a 2 hour trip to the camp in Three Rivers.

I'll be keeping a blog of course, hopefully on here.
I've heard some camps don't have access to myspace/facebook so I've set one up   **HERE**
Hopefully can use here to blog though!

Anyhow, had an awesome BBQ/Party on Sat - Thanks sooo much to everyone who came. I love you guys all loads.

The leaving part really sucks though. It was only last nite I've been anything other than excited. Spent the whole day cleaning up the aftereffects of the party with Mark and the parents.
Then spent the nite with Mark saying goodbye, really sad.
He left this morning for work and I was all, ' What now?'
Seeing Blondie today to say bye then spending tonite with the parents.

What a relief
I've managed. Pretty surprised actually. Heh. Let's just hope I don't fail.
I'm actually considering swapping courses - any advice people?
Off to speak to my tutor this afternoon and see what he says too.

Having my leaving party really soon.
