The Secret to Life
Category: Religion and Philosophy
Alright, some of you are going to think I'm off my rocker, most of you know I was born strange and most definitely on the nutty side of normality, so this topic will come as no suprise.
I believe in fate - God - gods - mystical energy - a spiritual link - divine intervention - karma - something larger than ourselves - science at it's best proves the exsistence of something beyond our grasp. Throughout time there has been a belief in "this force", regardless of the name chosen to describe it. What does it matter anyway? What matters is that it is so obviously in our face that it becomes hard to deny.... And the very act of denial deprives us of the faith in something extraordinary. Life relies on our understanding that some things cannot be seen, but are nonetheless real.
We are all made of energy... as is the universe. We affect one another and the world around us like ripples in water. We know the laws, or do we?
E = mc², energy and mass are equivalent and transmutable - Einstein's Relativity
What if we can project our energy?
For every action, there is an equal (in size) and opposite (in direction) reaction force. - Newton's 3rd Law
What would we get in return?
I watched a movie that said the secret to life is the law of attraction. It stated that thoughts are released into the universe and thus the universe responds in kind. We are rewarded with "miracles", as some might call it. Is it mere coincidence?
"You get what you deserve" "You reap what you sow" "You brought it on yourself"
We hear those quotes all the time and I, for one, believe them. I am a big fan of karma!
Here is my favorite part of the movie: "Your wish is my command"
As the genie would say it, so does the universe (regardless of what you name this force.) Ask and you shall receive.
Have you ever really wanted something and poof, there is was by strange "coincidence" or what I would call fate. This movie says that by the law of attraction our thoughts bring about reality. If you want health, you will be healthy. Mind over matter, I'm a fan of this too.
Supposedly, if you worry about bills, bills will continue to bombard your life because the universe does not hear that you DON'T want it... it only hears the thought and gives it to you.
Sounds hokey, but believeable when you consider our emotional state and actions related to worry, stress, depression etc. I suppose the actions would spiral out of control and the hole would get deeper and deeper. Positive people would react positively, thus getting a positive response. Yes, that's quite logical, but what if its really more mysterious than that? What if you can really just want something and the forces rearrange to grant your desire. It gives "may the force be with you" meaning to more than just jedi fans!
Today was interesting. During a conversation, a friend of a friend described ordering take-out. The salad arrived without tomatoes. A few minutes later the neighbor came by with homegrown tomatoes and cookies, unaware of their desire for tomatoes on thier just delivered salad.
Also today, my friend's wallet was stolen. I'm sure her thoughts all day were "I want it back." By an anonymous phone call and the "luck" of missing her turn, she "happened" to drive down the wrong street and glimpsed her wallet strewn out on the curb. Everything was a mess, but all there.
That was just today. I have my own "fate" stories... too many to count. Yet whose to say that this law of attraction thing isn't the real deal? Anything that you can imagine is yours to be or do or have. As you ask yourself why you want it, the essence of your desire is activated, and the Universe begins to bring it to you.
Is that really too far fetched? Given relativity and Newton's 3rd law... okay, even then maybe it's a stretch. Yet, based on my experiences, not so much.

The power of thought, the magic of the mind. - Lord Byron
Man, alone, has the power to transform his thoughts into physical reality; man, alone, can dream and make his dreams come true. - Napoleon Hill
Maybe it's nothing... but a girl can dream and if those dreams come true... all the better for me!

My Worst Moments...
Category: Life
my worst moments are my most important as I am humbled to experience gratitude for things often taken for granted I realize the blessings waiting for me to get on with the better parts life my worst moments are my most beautiful as I am stripped bare to the breathing of my soul sheltered by comfort from loved ones my worst moments are the reasons for the lessons learned they shape the hopes of better tomorrows and so I rejoice the painful tears the exhale of negativity because my worst moments bring out the best in me

Summer Rain
Rain Rain Go Away all we want to do is play rain tends to waste a perfect day... Bring Texas sun to stay... Hooray!
I belive the rain followed us all the way from Washington. That may sound crazy, but how else can one explain this unusual weather? Texas thunderstorms in June? I don't think I've ever seen such a thing, but then again, I have been gone a very long time. Not that it really matters to me. I'm used to the rain by now and at least there won't be a drought this summer. However, I was so looking forward to the sun. Speaking of storms, I've seen some rather stupid behavior on tv. Sorry if stupid is too harsh a word, but honestly people... do not drive your cars into flooded streets! I almost have to laugh. It is hilarious in a very pitiful sort of way. Please, if you don't know how to drive in the rain, avoid having to do so at all costs.
